I just thought he was an idiot regardless of gender. The funny one was "Lovely420" I think it was, who got 'married' to McTavish in RS and then turned out to be a guy.
  2. Almost all motherboards come with onboard sound now.
  3. Out of all my friends with 2GB of RAM they say that the games they play don't end up using it and that I shouldn't bother getting it. I suggested a 3700+ over an X2 processor because the 3700+ costs ~30 more whereas the X2 processors start at DOUBLE the price of the one he had selected. My point was more than the RAM was unnecessary. On the page you linked to the gaming benchmarks showed a negligible difference between 1GB and 2GB, even with 2GB being slower sometimes - suggesting that the differences shown were not the result of the amount of RAM but external factors.
  4. For both future-proofing and current performance he'd be better off getting a 3700+ instead of 2GB of RAM.
  5. You have a risk of getting an infection whenever you get anything pierced. Seeing as this item is going to be next to the raw flesh as it is, you are unlikely to raise your chances of getting infected unless you tear off more flesh. The crustiness is completely normal, it's just the hole trying to heal and you need the ring in there to stop it being able to. The most important thing to do is to wash the ring and the hole in sal[bleep]er at least once a day, that is what helps stop infection.
  6. That is incredibly old... And staged, by the way.
  7. It won't have healed up in that time. It will just be scabbiness that is blocking it, if I were you I'd take a deep breath and shove it through - else it will heal up.
  8. The video memory has very little to do with the speed at which it can process the image. A 6600GT card with 512MB of memory has a slower GPU than a 7800GTX with 256MB, so the amount of memory is largely inconsequent in those circumstances - the 7800GTX would be undoubtably more capable. It only comes into play if you're wanting to use uncompressed textures or other things which will occupy huge amounts of the card's memory.
  9. What's wrong with the metal topic in the correct forum (Music & Movies)?
  10. That is a poor example. $50/month is expensive, and for 4 years is unrealistic. I pay ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã19/month for 12 months (total of ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã228) and that doesn't even cover the cost of the phone itself - worth around ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã300-400 (O2 XDA2i pocketpc) let alone the amount of included calls/texts/GPRS (50 mins/500 texts/1MB GPRS) internet access I get. I don't use more than the included amount of things either.
  11. ^^^ Yeah that's what I meant, a desk fan not a desktop fan heh. Though this solution is only palliative, it won't cure the problem. And it makes the laptop a hell of a lot less portable. Interestingly my flatmate's laptop was the same as someone's on my course, a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo somethingorother, and this other guy's overheated too - both getting burn marks above the hard disk.
  12. Another thing to try would be to place a desk fan blowing over it. My flatmate had a similar problem and this worked as a temporary solution.
  13. It does have a PSU. But don't use it.
  14. Two of the excellent educational games I remember well: Zoombeenies The Magic Schoolbus - the one inside the human body
  15. I think that considering the calibre of your posts I am surprised you are not banned.
  16. Yeah... Get a new motherboard for a laptop... (sarcasm) All you can do is contact the manufacturer for repairs, those sorts of things can't be done at home really.
  17. ...Resident Evil is a movie based on a game... The vast majority of violent games are not based on films, and the same can be said for games in general. Whether you meant violent games or otherwise, it is just not true.
  18. How very untrue.

Just wondering, why are you putting apostrophes in front of crap?
  21. Coke in the USA is a different formula to Coke in the UK? I think not. I think you missed my point, that the formula for one of the drinks is the same all over the world - not that Coke and Pepsi share the same formula.
  22. Err, no? I have ordered my christmas packages (~̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã450 worth of hardware each christmas) from them for several years, along with systems I have built for my flatmates and miscellaneous bits for mine. You can't just say they are awful without giving a reason.
  23. How do they taste any different in England compared to anywhere else in the world - they are the exact same formula wherever you get it...
  24. Yeah Eric the Unready it was. It wasn't entirely textual, it did have the odd static graphic just to set the scene.
  25. How is this topic any different to the "mustangs" topic CREATED BY YOU, the "Post pictures of your car" topic, or the "What's your dream car" topic?
