Same-Sex Marriage
Hell no, you a virgin? Nope. Please, try to tell me reproduction isn't the natural purpose of sex. At the same time, technically our stomachs only wants to be full. There's no need to have any complex foods or restaurants. Having kids is why we have uncontrolable sexual needs; but not why we have sex.

Next generation consoles and games.
"Friendly" competition they say...besides I prefer to do some sort of physical activity with a girl rather than just sit there. I have to agree with you; gamer technology is roughly the same as it ever will be. The only difference will be the concepts of games' plots and gameplay. As for 3D, it's been in and out of fads since the 1950s and it hasn't stablized yet. Nor is it regardless of what the movie, TV, and now game companies think. That's a big problem I have with current games. All the 1337 graphics and shix but no large, complex map or long storyline or more in-depth. I remember when it took days or maybe weeks to play a game enjoyably. Even at my slow but fun pace I finish games within two or three days. Short storylines ftl.

Same-Sex Marriage
Actually, what he was arguing and I'm arguing are two different things. He is arguing about using polygamy for more than two consensual adults, while I'm arguing for two. Arguing for more than two is taking things too far off topic to be used as a defense, and your argument is an adult and a consensual object. You can't technically marry your keyboard, because it simply can't even sign the marriage license. I'm suggesting limits also, but those limits should be between two consensual adults, whether they be gay/lesbian/straight or any other. The reason I say this is because in polygamy, divorce and other legal benefits would be an issue that would be too confusing for things to work, while two consensual adults allow for both easy marriage, divorce and legal benefits to work out. Okay, so you got limits. That's good. As for homosexual marriage, I am heavily in favour for them to have legal rights the same as hetrosexual couples. But crying because some private institution (unless they get tax reductions, then [bleep] them) won't let them marry isn't what I want. Truthfully, now that I think about it, what the [bleep] is a marriage? Other than legalized benefits for taxes and such, couldn't a homosexual couple make a "mock" Christian wedding without actually "doing it in the name of God"? It's for looks rather than actual benefits. Then what are we arguing here? The right to conduct marriage ceremonies or the right for same legal rights as hetrosexuals? (this goes for the entire thread, not just you Rex, btw)

Same-Sex Marriage
Your snowball argument avoids the main point of discussion, because we're discussing two entirely different things. Your argument is for its own topic, and will not be discussed by me on this topic. Now, whether or not the definition is changed is not something bad. Previously the definition of marriage meant only two people of the same race are allowed to marry, but now we are allowed to have multiracial marriage. To have that happen, a majority of people's beliefs were crushed, by now we have no problem with that type of marriage. Just because it's a belief doesn't mean it's right, or at least I would assume that the belief that marriage should only be between a single race and opposite genders is something that could be considered wrong. Your problem is that you believe marriage is something religious, which it's not. It's a legal contract, in which the beliefs of religious people don't matter, because it's something the State deals with. You're sort of reinforcing the point of the snowball effect there. Wealth, race, sex, ???, ???. Technically I can marry my keyboard if I wanted to, it would be in my rights to do so. But that sounds stupid. In society there will have to be limits and for the sake of tradition (NOT religion) marriage should be based on a man and a woman. Civil unionships for legal rights should be given to all partners regardless of sexual orientation of course. But homosexuality isn't the "norm" as you people would like to think. Being born without legs isn't something you can live a "normal" life with. Homosexuals can't marry like hetrosexuals do like as handicapped people can't run like non-handicapped people do. It's a struggle of life. As for the churches right to marry those who they choose, do they get special benefits of taxes or not?!

Next generation consoles and games.
Oh god, I just shudder thinking about another Console War in the near future... The only particular new thing I see would be 3D. But that's not even that great. Natal seems too advance to be cheaply mass-produced for next-gen. Expect expensive consoles and games too. $75 games ftw.

I think a better question for the time being is the church's role in paying taxes. I've heard churches don't have to pay taxes, but then I heard they do.

RuneScape Machinima
It's been a clear indication that the making of RuneScape movies is a large and popular part of RuneScape's community and has some impact on the members of Tip.It. Currently we can post videos in one sticky which is merged with sounds and pictures; and its also clear that the sticky is dominated by pictures. The goal of the machinimator (one who makes machinima) is to reach his/her audience, receive feedback, and improve. Though the current sticky thread and it's picture dominance most people will not expect many movies to be shown there and thus will not enter it. This removes a big chunk from the viewing audience. The fact that it is only one thread shared with two other subjects, it makes feedback very difficult and spread out due to the constant bumping/other posts irrelevant to the video. The last issue, best fixed with a subforum, is the methods of improving editing, writing, and directing skills of filmmakers. Though help threads and constructive criticism (made difficult on the current sticky, reasons above) the machimator can improve his work to entertain better his/her audience. The solution to fix these problems or even just help out machinimators a whole lot, is to change the way videos can be posted. Either Tip.it can include a machinima subforum within General to cover all areas of concern, an entire sticky just for machinima so it won't be overun by pictures and sounds, or be allowable to be posted on the General forum. To be orderly, a machinima would have to consist as a traditional "Hollywood" movie; that is, no bank videos, PvP or Boss kills, things best left in Blogs or Rate This. I really hope Tip.It can improve the thing it's been lacking, even through minor update. Jagex did and it was well received. A last point I want to say is that clans have their forums, bloggers have their forum, PK'ers have their forums, artists have their forum, achievers have their sub-forum, and I think now machinimators deserve some sort of personal space in this rich community. :-)

Kepler Telescope finds Earthlike planet
To counter this, I would have to pull up an important part of our history... sure, it may of been a waste of Spain's treasury to fund exploration of the world and it even might of looked too one sided with Portugal and Spain having a monopoly over the New World; but eventually most of humanity was able to travel to the new land and thrive in it and a retreat in case of danger in the Old World, and there was plenty. So it's never a waste of money exploring the frontier. Most of this forum wouldn't have a place called home if European powers didn't invest in it.

5th February: New Runescape Poll
Am I the only one who orders a pizza when I can't be bothered to cook or leave my room every now and then? Ordinarily you would use a phone; I've never heard ordering fast food online. I've seen ordering groceries online, but not resturant food.

The last thing you wish you didn't eat.
My parents have a pack of glass coke bottles from the '94 Football World Cup. I've been curious to drinking them... If I ever do, I'm pretty sure that'll be on my "last thing I wished I didn't drink."

We've said so many racist jokes, we don't even think about it anymore... Though its funny when new people come to our group: they hear the racist joke, sort of shocked but can't help to laugh.
