Religous Extremism
The idea of the state of Israel is the biggest BS I've ever heard. I saw this movie once about ancient Rome and loved it. I went to it's fan club meetings and eventually it became a pretty part of my life and of my friends. It grew so big, that we went to the governments to make our own little country for this movie because I totally love it and it's pretty realistic so it must be true: we needed a land like the Romans in the movie! So the governments gave us a piece of Sicily and we moved in. Stupid Sicilians didn't see our Rome and attacked us! WTF?! So we kicked their [wagon], went into Calabria, and all the way up to Naples. Stupid Italians messing with my Rome!

Illegal. AHEM. Race isn't much of a issue because there are beautiful girls in every race. Some races just have a higher chance of having pretty girls. ;)

Orb of Oculus
I always expected it to be JUST a camera and other players would be the actors. Though the jerk bugs me a lot, I think it's good for transitions/environment shots. Another idea that comes to mind is using green screening for the character, background collecting with the orb, and put them together in an editing software. Very similar to WoW's Model Viewer techique. The biggest problem, if not only problem I think, is RuneScape's pixel-y graphics makes green screening look not too well.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Oh trust me, it won't. Being honest actually; you gotta do something to take control of it. By "falling into place" I mean "become much, much easier." That better? Oh. Right, right. I thought you meant it'll happen by itself, my bad. I don't lie, FlyingJ, I wish there were more old-fashioned guys like us. ;)

What's the max you can trade now?
Wow, nice. I must say, this is a very nice update from Jagex. Good timing too; my good friend wants to play again and I promised to give what little I could to him (we're talking the about the poorest noob here ), but this update makes it better for him!

War
Sorry to burst your bubble, but even in ancient civilizations war was not an art. It was viewed as an art by the rich families of the military (e.g. the people who would read and write thus make history books) but the common folk was off to fend for himself; and we are the common folk.

Sexting: Your Views?
Haha, welcome to Government 101. <_< At 14? Sorry for laughing... If you don't already know about sex by then, you're going to be learning it in health anyways. If anything the whole abstinence deal needs to end, and replaced with people being taught about condoms, birth control, and other things that can be involved in safe sex. I could understand if the law wanted to protect someone who's 14 from someone who's 30+, but having a 14 year old being labeled as a pedophile because of someone who's 15 is just pathetic. The age for these things needs to be adjusted in a way that allows for something like 14-19 to be together/have sex/porn, and 16 + to be legally allowed to do what they want with sex related things. Well now I'm confused. Did he meant at 14 they know about sex or at 14 they want to advance their relationship to the next level? Cuz yeah, 14 years should know about sex; but shouldn't be doing it. I think he meant doing it, which I have no problem with if they know what they're doing and don't brag about it (other than friends). Which we perfectly know won't happen...

Mint cake
The dwarfhead is the 'icon' of the 'item' null. If you log and and back on again it should be normal. Ahh, I figured as such.

Mint cake
From what I read from Rune Wiki, null is a glitch where the item name gets replaced with "null." Not sure what's up with the dwarf head though...

User reputation
That's my main problem along with the others said. I go on TIF not to compete but to relax and read. This rep. system would only make people strive for the best rather than just contribute to the discussion.

MMG, the great face of Jagex?
Ferrari Tank > all, tbh... [hide][/hide] I personally like MMG better. He has a more friendlier vibe towards the players and the game. While he might not update as "good" as you guys would like, but cuz of my break I lost two years of updates so I'm all good until I catch up.

Tip.it Times 31 January 2010
I'm going to have to disagree with the Second Article. This misconception of "nerds" making movies being such a low number isn't true. If you ever visit YouTube there are a LOT of RuneScape movies: machinima, PvP, bosses, etc. So it's there's a pretty big number of people that this update relates to. Secondly, I can totally understand the fact that Jagex should focus on their game rather than machinima. I personally believe the same way: Companies should focus on the games and leave the movie-making to the players. But the problem with RuneScape is that there cannot be any 3rd party interaction. Loads of other games either have some sort of machinima contraptions in them or allow 3rd party interaction. But not with RuneScape. Not only is creating 3rd party software against the rules, there are no files which to manipulate to make such a software: it's browser-based. So crying that Jagex does ONE update updating the lack of machinima support, is really, really pathetic. I can make the same argument on high leveled quests. I can't do them, nor do I really want to at this point. But do I [bleep] about it? No. But keep down it really is a matter of not understanding, I think. You look at the World of Warcraft machinima and you WOULD support more machinima tools because there will be people that will make awesome ones. Is not the case of RuneScape because there aren't a lot of great ones. From my viewing, the good ones are organized into more of a short-series-like manner or focused on the player themselves. Maybe if there was more story-driven machinima, expertly done, some of the negativity of machinima will go away.

Bullied into suicide
For some reason I'm reminded of 4chan going after the guy that abused the cat... 4chan isn't human... remember. But in that case I have to applaud them.

Bullied into suicide
Bur there is something you can do! Maybe not you or me or us personally, but this is what teachers, counselors, principles, and parents are for. A general rule I've found in all my wisdom is that people dislike being told what to do. Makes 'em rebellious. Like terrorism, the idea of bullying is an ever changing monster. Trying to fight it is like trying to catch smoke with your hands: You'll disrupt it's flow, sure, maybe even catch some of it, but something will slip through (like these girls in this story). Whoever said it was going to be easy? I'm not asking for perfection from the get-go, I'm asking for people to actually make the attempt. You'd be amazed at what can be done when a large group actually give an earnest effort on something. The bottome line is that these kids will do whatever they want, no amount of people will change that. If they can't do it at school they'll do it somewhere else. Unless it gets to the point where "Big Brother is watching" everything we do, there's no way to stop it except to try and encourage kids like this to not be so mean to people, but even then it's their choice. There's two problems persisting on this: parents and the school. The parents of the bullies probably are a bit violent, or are never at home, or just are [wagon]. Without proper teaching of the child (respect and fear, not respect and trust; kids won't "trust" ya) you cannot control his/hers basic morals and choices. Secondly, the school. Because they lack "evidence" to punish the bully as he should, they give him a minor slap on the wrist and let him go. Whereas, say, if a person broke dress code and refused to give up his hat, he'll have to be suspended and sent to a City Judge.
