  1. Lol. ---- You want to get the most out of the information age? You're doing a better job then most, as you're already on a forum. If you're wanting the most, I'd suggest finding a popular 'Real Life' board, like that 'Off-Topic' board or others. Or find a forum that interests you. You'll learn from it, and probably learn more about your career, or keep you up to date with it, not too mention you'll enjoy it. As well, some video games on the internet are pretty good to play every so often. I'm not talking hardcore or FPS, or MMO's, but look in Video Games, and you'll see some of the games that are exciting and appealing to everyone being posted in there. Information age is about spreading information. Having mIRC, contributing new creative media onto the internet is pretty good as well.
  2. In equal opt fights, organization usually will win. Organization can only go so far with unequal opt'd fights. After a certain point, organization isn't compatible with the numbers. Especailly when you have 800+ on one side. If RSC had brought equal opts as well, we'd have lost.
  3. I'd bet so too, but Zybez and it's community has been shunning pures a lot more over this past year. A lot of pure clan leaders aren't very happy with Zybez.
  4. Doesn't happen to me, and I'm using the same skin as you are. Could be the browser you're using isn't hiding the message correctly.
  5. Which is sad, this is a discussion thread about content...Not the authors writing style. 'Discuss the article here'. That means everything about the article, and this isn't the first time an article has had replies about the article being good or bad. Actually, no one is complaining about positive compliments about the writing style, even though Tip.It apparently doesn't want replies on the writing style, just the discussion. That's kind of redundant. Almost every other article published with a topic on the forums has had reviews of good or bad about it. Only now an admin decided to post their opinion about it, which lead to the discussion about it.
  6. The MSSW is suppose to be posted some time today. Also, if PC is able to get it's regular clans that hang around, PC can easily get 400 just from the top 5 'pure' clans, not including friends or forum regulars. But that's just guessing. I am pretty confident that PC will be in #3 for the most pulled opts, they may go over what Zybez brings, but who knows. I'm not sure if clans will support PC, even though they are regularly using PC.
  7. Amazing photos Phil. I'm so jealous. Put in a few more countries in there and you've done a life goal of mine. Excellent job and it sounded like you had loads of fun. :
  8. We could get into a long debate about why the authors are taking this risk and submitting their articles online or through a forum. It is our choice whether to negatively, or positively criticize the article, or who the author is based by what we read. Tip.It Times has set the bar very high for articles, and articles like these are probably only being released because Tip.It is scraping the bottom of the bucket. If Tip.It wanted to get rid of this 'risk' or the ability for us to 'bash' or 'negatively comment' about an article posted they could make a rule about it, but I'd think a lot of users would remove themselves from the forums, just like a few incidents in off-topic which has lead to several regulars leaving. Regardless the article was very plain and the adjectives in the article were just put in there to make it sound better, which they didn't do anyways. But anyways safe spots are disappearing but as the author said new ones are popping up. Infact if you actually know how monsters attack you, or come towards you based on where you're standing, and you have half an IQ you can actually find a safespot practically anywhere.
  9. Unless those two forums have an extremely large portion of users who aren't using the forums they won't be that much of a threat if you look at previous MSSW's.
  10. The other arenas are so small that there really isn't a need for boundaries. As well the reason why dragging was formed has been completely demolished with these new arenas because they favour either piling/hugging, or different types of combat like rangers will completely dominate the Quarry and will be more than useful in the Turrets arena. Boundaries were formed because the area was a lot larger than GDZ was, and the original map itself was way too diverse in objects you could hug/pile around, AND these areas weren't integrated with each other. It was '20 trees here walk over 20 squares, and here's some rocks, and go north 15 squares here's another batch of trees'. It wasn't rocks & trees together, or non-huggable areas like the GDZ area was. However the addition of the single-way combat in the original arena does create the need to drag, but the insulting of being called ' NH ' is going to arise quickly for doing that, which will put a negative outlook on dragging into there. For those who still use the original arena boundaries are no longer needed.
  11. My old clan that I had founded, we had two leaders (myself and the other founder), a co-leader, and three council. We also had 5-10 'above senior ranked members' which also gave input. Basically, you'd have people generating ideas, it would come to the council & leaders, would be discussed and refined, then would be discussed over with my self and the other founder. We both had entirely different views on everything through-out our entire time leading together, so nothing was ever 'yea ok, I like that, let's do it', it always took days to argue and fight over issues or suggestions. Though, we didn't believe in Warlords, or Events Co-Ordinaters, or Application Managers, as if you aren't a lazy leader or council you can spend an hour or two and get practically everything done, with co-leaders picking up the slack that is left behind and doing their own work as well. Our clan really didn't have an in-game thing of 'official pile starters or callers', people just attacked and formed piles almost naturally. The idea was to have minimal amount of ranks so everything could be done quickly, but precisely, and not have 30+ ranked people you need to know that are ego-maniacs, and have control issues. We had I think 7 or 9 people who really were people you needed to get to know to be a successful member, and it worked out well, and it kept a great community going.
  12. Judging by how they hyped up other updates, and seeing as they called it their most largest/hardest quest of all time, I'm really thinking they are going to start to swamp us with clues. Like 10-15 clues before released.
  13. Looks at your quick, hyper-energetic posts and compares to AOC's first posts... Yea, let's wait that month and see this time. :
  14. Take the job. Don't like it/get fired return home, or use the money you have made from the job to buy an apartment. Get a job. Work for a year. Go back to school. Honestly, taking the job offer is far more reasonable than going to school, as you can go abck to school at ANYTIME.
  15. Polls aren't a very common thing around these boards in the first place, but because this is a text-based discussion forum where new views, and opinions, and valid arguments are posted or replied to in topics I think the ability to withdraw your vote in a poll should be integrated somehow. Someone makes a topic, it gets a few replies, and becomes a poll. You vote after reading through say 13 'good' replies. The next day you look and it's at 25 posts. You read them. You find out that those 13 'good' replies just sounded good and had faulty references. The reason you voted is no longer there, and you'd like to re-vote. This can even work for 80 reply topics as well. Even though polls aren't common, you will see the example I made above in almost every topic. Where sides are constantly arguing or discussing over an issue that could relate to a poll, or have the potential to be a poll. More commonly known as Off-Topic (lol). But yea, I'm sure it's happened to all of us, and I don't think it would be extremely over the top to add to the forums, it's just reversing the action you took, so it's not creating or storing anything (which are usually the reasons behind why certain suggestions can't be done). I also don't think this can be abused though...? Unless people want to post extremely unreasonable and invalid ways in which it could be abused...
  16. I think I kind of went off into something about that you couldn't choose between Wars or PKRI's. But if you had to pick either one, and there was no other contributing factors except those two, I'd say PKRI's. Wars are generally pre-organized. There's a lot of prep time, like a week or two. And your clan has time to 'adjust' to the other clan based off of their available stats on a memberlist. You can also review clans past videos and warring history to study their options, organization and other minor details that you can inform your clan of. All of this gets you prepared, and ready. All this shows is that your clan can easily prepare and examine the other clan to death. As well, with wars, you know you're going to be fighting. You know that within the next 5 minutes they will be coming to attack you, or you will be told to charge. Because of this you're waiting, and you're ready. You probably know how large they are, and you know not to run. PKRI's however you'll have no idea that another clan is just up ahead, that may or may not be smaller, or larger. You don't know if they are level 120s, or level 80s, with 100, or 40 people. you don't know if your clan leader will say 'run' or 'retreat', you don't know anything. You're on the edge of your seat, or sometimes not prepared at all. There's the constant thought of being attacked at anytime, and then when you do get attacked, you have a few moments of delay, and the clan which reacts quickest within seeing the other dots usually starts off strong and finishes by winning. Not everyone in the clan will be paying attention either. Some will be afking. Some will be holding a drink in their mouse hand. All of these negative things will be happening and probably happened quite a bit in old wildy. The difference? It's pretty huge. PKRI's show how devoted your clan members are by seeing if they are actually paying attention. How well your clan can react under stress, or heat of the moments. How well your clan can call piles when the main trip leader has died. How well a clan can adapt to it's current territory. Are you at GDZ, or at trees? Or at a flat area? Can your clan adapt to this quickly enough to hug properly? If your clan can do all of the above, organized or pre-determined run-ins will be extremely easy to win. Then again, it is up to the majority of clan oriented players to understand and perceive this information correctly, or to understand the pro's and con's of each type of war and how they think of it. It's also how well a clan presents this information to the public. Are they highlighting their reaction times, or are they highlighting their options? Even if one is far more important than the other? But to the topic title is asking how we think of it, and not what really is or should be the largest contributor to a clans reputation. Edit: At the persons point about 'equal wars'. Pre-Organized wars usually involve a clan declaring on another clan that is equal in opts, or stats, or equal in stats compared to their numbers. While PKRI's don't have this, it's usually whoever has the quickest time to react and start piling fast enough. While a clan can win with having a crappy reaction time, but mainly because they outnumber another clan so badly that even if the 'quick reacting' clan is killing 5 players per minute, it's not enough to kill off the vast majority of the opposing clan quick enough before they die, which is or was the case in old PKRI's, except between some of the top clans. But then again, most people would take this into consideration, or look at the options and see what they were, and then look at levels, and then compare the fight with those, and then post what they thought of the fight. So really numbers & stats or even wars or PKRI's become nulled because the wars aren't closely equal to each other to actually be a valid reason or contribution to a clans reputation, and can actually be a negative contribution if a clan is constantly killing clans that have lower stats or opts than them on purpose, or just by accidental.
  17. The only use I can see that for is when a clan is huge, like has 120 or so members, and wants to train. So they set it to 10k, and just practice warring in there...etc, or doing fun events, like a fire ball contest until the other team is completely out of mind runes or whatever. Stuff like that would be useful... But a war? If anyone did do this, it would last a very long time. You'd have everyone start off, then it would get low on players, probably people sleep/school, come back, find it's still going on, go into the portal, restart and redo until end. Very impractical...
  18. I think for the after-party PC is up against RSC for the clan wars part, though I don't know if that is certain. PC will also be wearing iron (majority...) instead of steel for obvious reasons. Tip.It pulled an insane amount last time, I was amazed at the sparkle of green & white near the ruins. No matter where you went you were on top of someone, lol. I had thought that Zybez didn't get very many of it's clans out, just it's regular forum users. I still don't know where all the Tip.It supporters came from to out number RSC so badly.
  19. How long the clan has been around is a much higher factor than how well they do in wars or pk run-ins. I think each clan is different in how their reputation is formed. Perhaps a lot of reputation is gained from warring or run ins, but they aren't completely all of it. Some things like honour, or non-honour, or what the clans reason for warring is, or why the clan is around and what they are out to prove has a lot to do with the reputation as well. To me, it's too hard to tell what contributes more to a clans reputation.
  20. In the pure world currently this is a major issue. When pure clans are fighting, a lot of the opposing clan is reporting anyone who spams. It's really distasteful. However that sticky on the RSOF has helped out a lot with these. I'm not to sure about the main world with this issue, but it's a plague that isn't going away, and has been raining down on pures since around March 08. As this is when it was starting to become common to hear about.
  21. Do you prefer the safe or dangerous option? And, what exactly is the reward to walking around in the dangerous FFA zone with expensive armor? I prefer both quite the same. I enjoy safe for quick 1on1 fights, but I enjoy dangerous because people aren't going to be wearing fancy or fashion armour, and there's that risk that is present, that sends a rush. the benefit of FFA is stopping people from using Godswords, or other expensive armour. There's nothing wrong with it, but you wouldn't bring something you weren't prepared to lose right? What rules do you set for your planned fights? Do you prefer determining the winner by the most kills within X hours/minutes, or by reaching a predetermined number of kills first? Are there any other popular setups? Each type of gameplay has it's own benefits and disadvantages. Being the faster killer, or the clan that can hold it's own endurance, all of these show aspects of a clans warring abilities. To me though, first to get X kills, especially when it's in the multiple hundreds is great. A lot of suspense. For **planned** fights, do you like these updates or the old wilderness/bh better? Why?I like clan wars better simply because the terrain is far more different and useful than the old wild/BH is.
  22. A clan that has a structured base, and has a community, not one where it's a divided community.
  23. With the new clan wars, I'm just guessing it'll be later this year. I've spoken with Dustin and there's another site participating in the MSSW this year. : Is this in the right forum though?

Lol kent, wavedashing. Connection speeds hardly matter, as I've used dial-up at friends houses and got no lag.
