  1. Thanks for the reference guide. <3

Few years ago I read his posts and other articles regarding the entire issue. To me I could have believed it in 2000/01. He was an extremely convincing writer, and his thoughts were very clear and were explained and had reason. It was quite brilliant and should be discussed in the future as a learning tool to the media & parents of how the internet does affect the world, and how fake stories can be blown out of purportion by the media.
  3. And then look at the comparative activity between the graphics forum, narrative area, clan area, and any post count restricted area on RSC to Tip.It. So obviously not that many people were 'put off' as you were. But I do agree that putting post count requirements to post in forums isn't very encouraging to new users, but I do think post counts to post new topics in certain forums is a good idea.
  4. Uhm, they do get quite a bit of activity if they are useful. If they aren't they die out. Also, I really don't think the subforum is needed in that the discussions should stay in General, as General always goes through the phases of market speculations at least 30-40 times per year, and probably contributes to a lot of the topics/posts in General, as well as other topics that are related to the economy to be posted. I really don't think it should be done.
  5. Really don't mind members of the clan swearing, or talking however they want as long as it isn't upsetting to anyone too much. Or when jokes get taken too far.
  6. Mithril could just be decreasing because a 'weird' or 'odd' amount of smithers are no longer using Mithril, and are using another material, or have found better ways. I do know making mith grapples was popular, thus it could have been overused and is now dying out. Just like most other jewelery.
  7. Exactly. I'm a pure mainly in-game and I've come to terms with this. Jagex has intended their update so that you have to work, and you will be challenged to train this or that, or multiple skills to get access to a certain area. If you've chosen to not get defense, or certain skills, then you'll have to life with it, as it's your choice, and Jagex is only trying to please everyone, not individual groups.
  8. To be honest I just can't wait till Google releases some kind of O/S that can 'somehow' beat out Linux in terms of size, accessibility, and speed. I give it 7-10 years. Having a lot of fun looking at the source code even if I have no idea what I'm looking at, at times. :wall:
  9. Question 1: Can you run the low detail mode? Question 2: Can you run the high detail mode in the lower graphics? Question 3: If you have multiple browsers installed, like IE, or FF, try both and see if it's the same problem, or different? Question 4: What is your latest version of Java you have on your computer? Side note: Why would you want to fix this? Seriously...that's extremely appealing.
  10. One thing I really dislike is certain webpages can't be scrolled, or anything with the mouse scroll wheel. It happens at random times. In general I think it's a good browser, and with a few months of work it'll be working in good competition with IE8 and FF3. A funny thing though is to highlight the post code things (B, I, U, Quote, Code, List...etc) that are at the top of the post thing, and see how distorted the explanations become. Though don't know if that happens in FF...?
  11. Or after you select your theme the first time, it goes into a drop down menu.
  12. De-sticky the unimportant ones, but replace them with Devoted's sticky guide, but try and make it so that the 'General' stickies are clearly seen first or are quoted at the top of the sticky, then the rest of Devoted's link index can be below it, or whoever does make the post to be stickied, could just quote the General Discussion links, and then link to Devoted's Sticky guide. Best solution in my opinion, and easiest.
  13. I love it when people stereotype. Regardless names that have numbers in it with letters are generally the pures that won't last 2-4 months before getting defense, so really, they aren't worth discussing, unless you're intentionally bashing them for who knows what self-gain attempt over the internet.
  14. So that penguin craze at Jagex beats the needs of hundreds of pkers? Yea...Nice.
  15. The MTV show is just a hyped of version blown out of proportion. Actual Sweet 16s are only $600 to $1000, generally because of a DJ cost. A lot of my friends have invited their entire grade (which is like 200 people?) for the event. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a one time huge celebration in your life. It's only natural to want to have the attention all on you with people coming for you. Invite 20+ people, get like 20 things of pizza, rent out a building, get a DJ, and that's a proper sweet 16, and that's usually what happens. Mind you though it's usually only females that do the big sweet 16s so it's not surprising to read most of Tip.It not getting why they (females) do this. /stereotyping

When I'm at the age/job area to pay taxes, I really won't mind it as I like my free health care, the waste disposal program, the hydro company, the construction workers, the free schooling, and having a force to protect if needed. A lot of people who complain about taxes ignore these benefits.
  17. Lowering the drinking age isn't a bad idea if you look over at Europe and there's no drinking ages in a lot of the countries...
  18. I think I'd make it my own personal responsibility to the clan to be there when it ends. Not just for me, but for the other members and others who were in the clan to recognize the good times, and everything that's gone on with the clan when/if it died.
  19. 'PK Or Die, It's the skillers that will be lucky' Or however it was said. That's how it should always be. Except monster hunting will still be reasonably good to do as well, or much better than pking. 'Measly pure', yea, that 15k to 25k in F2P, or the 80k-120k for p2p sure isn't much, especially when you can kill up to 20 people by the time you get all the way to GWD's and the proper kill count, and probably not getting a 'rare' drop.
  20. I die at age 86. :(
  21. To be honest I have to agree here. People are just mass selling all their equipment now, so they don't lose a lot of money later on if it goes down...etc. All the smart epople are going back to school apparently! Those saying that some items are only going down because of the bunyip, or drop percents are probably wrong in the fact that all of these possible changes/bugs wouldn't happen like it is now. Sure one after every week or so, but not at once. I'm also saying the GE was changed somehow.
  22. Crystal Glory is fine, as for spamming, the 'C' and 'G' are close enough you only need one hand with large or small hands. So in terms of practicability, I'd go for it. But those names on there don't have that ring that make them sound uber good. I'd go for Diamond though as suggested above.
  23. To be honest though, this is one thing that I will cherish and appreciate greatly. Being in a war for more than 12 hours? It's like heaven giving you the greatest gift ever. That and being on a pure clan, killing off looters for 6 hours, at main wars. :
  24. viewtopic.php?f=90&t=758731 This will explain everything. Whoever gets the movie reference gets 10 E points.
  25. Books are so 2006 for pures. Get your generalizing up to date!
