  1. Don't forget about advertising range familiars- even if you make crimson ones(buying logs from store) they'll have great dps in gd's. when should you make ranged familiars? or is it a joke? Ranged familiars have by far the best dps of summons, so they are worth making in situations where you already have enough(2-3) ragers or are doing floors where you aren't likely to need ragers(tf and necro). Getting logs is usually easier than it is to get ore, too.

  3. The records pages don't at all consider bonus weekends. Although drumgun didn't use effigies, he did have 43m stored xp in sw, which is very similar.
  4. Interesting data, and given my estimation of 8-12k per visage, seems quite legit. It's also interesting to note that they can kill 52 dragons an hour, almost 4x less than someone with maxed gear/attention, go figure.
  5. Fixed as in 3bo having 2.5x more dg xp than total xp...nice job  Oh, and it looks like we have someone to kill on the total xp hiscores.
  6. Yes, though there appear to be some inconsistencies with regard to the prayer draining boost it gives. I got an increase of 4,63% seconds on piety myself compared to not using it (96 prayer, zero prayer bonus). Evil_Sabre's data appears to show a 5,91% increase. A website submission mentioned a 4,16% increase on piety. Do you know the basics of prayer drain? All the tests would need to be done with the same starting prayer points(0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 being the easiest to consider) with prayers of the same drainrate being looked at. Turmoil and pirty have a different drainrate. Simple percentage wise boost has never been applied as far as prayers are concerned. Yes, the aura would save one inv space at crawlers, but that usually shouldn't be an issue.(and it only applies for one hour every 4 hours)
  7. If your lag doesn't allow for it, it's not worth doing tf floors. It's sometimes common for less experienced communities to try to skip tf anyway as they can't manage it well enough, meaning you'd do occults as a combination of locc and ff. For thundy, you are clicking the wrong spot. Try to click more to the wall behind the pillar or alternatively get a full inv and click on the ggs every time.
  8. You also need to test it at different prayer bonus, preferably +30(for half drain). It is said to be +2 invisible prayer bonus, coupled with the +2 prayer point bonus and how cheap prayer is nowadays, is only really worth it for inventory space.
  9. Longsword is a terrible weapon and isn't acceptable under any condition. Both rapier and battleaxe completely destroy it.
  10. You can get any aura but for jack of all trades for 400 points soo... Which one of them is most useful? from the short list i gather these to be the contenders: Knock-out aura- could reduce melee training dps by cutting down on overkill Runic aura- not sure on the applications as the returns diminish by higher accuracy but an added 5% can be very significant(but not for training) Sharpshooter aura- will, in all likelyhood be a must for nexers. added 3% can be over 5% extra range dps there Call of the sea- depending on how significant the increase is. Certainly the best for skillers Reverance- with how cheap potions are nowadays, may not be very significant, but depending on how much it lowers the drain rate it can still be useful. This will also depend on the length that these work. Most will only give a bonus for 20-25% of the time(although you can be logged off for recharging).
  11. Hevendor_Guy, here is a short list of the things i could gather of what you did wrong in that dungeon: -Dealing with irl issues instead of focusing on the dungeon at hand(serious offense, learn to plan ahead, if you don't have a free 30 minute window, don't enter any dungeons) -Being slow about responding to gtgd calls(mild offense, something you will get better at with experience) -Being slow about getting a key for a door you gated(mild offense, again, something you can get better with experience) -Not regating a door you gated(serious offense, you should ALWAYS create a gatestone after teleporting to a gate, which will be dropped upon death) So, instead of focusing some foul language, maybe, instead, there was something wrong with you. The most serious offense, that i have yet to mention, is obviously your attitude, that is nothing of the kind that us in DGS like to see. If you make a mistake, you are expected to not take it personally, learn from it and apologize. What you have managed to stir up is the complete opposite of that. As for profanity and cussing, it's allowed. DGS is a community that expects people to not get caught up in it and if people continually frustrate you and make loads of mistakes(which happens to be the case), i don't see anything wrong with it. Don't like it? then don't be an [bleep]...
  12. According to the calculations and data we have, due to the specific defense ratings of different monsters in dungeoneering, a primal baxe will do very well in comparison to the prom 2h while the prom baxe would not. This is to do with the natural defense levels of many low defense monsters and even some issues with higher defense monsters. This is something purely related to our understanding of dps and accuracy and what the research data provides us with. That said, again, i urge everyone to help grimy with his dungeoneering accuracy project to help us all with these specifics even more.
  13. The stats on a prom baxe are a little suboptimal and really, it's not as good a weapon as prom 2h is, but i think if you know how to use it well, it shouldn't be a major issue. Gorg one would be completely out of the question, for example, and a 2h would also be good in developing better apm. i rly only want it for the extra invent spot lol. the lack of needing to switch to csb is attractive to. as for apm...you'd need to prayflash more with a baxe, and due to it's faster atk speed, it would be higher apm. Likewise making pots with a baxe would be slightly trickier. If you want it for an extra inv spot, don't even think about doing it. It's generally accepted that it's tougher to flash prayers with a slower weapon, thus 2h helps you become a better prayer switcher and train apm with csb-2h switch.
  14. Construction is a newer skill relative to many others, has been historically costly and without much use. When compared to crafting, construction has been much more costly for a long time while crafting used to be cheap. It's also because people are hesitant to spend money on skills.

  16. Buy stuff from the ge and sell it to w2 varrock general store. That or buy alot of something really sucky(like cabbage) and make a big drop party of junk.
  17. 5:1 is a 1:1 dungeon with 5 people, so the fact that you can solo the same dungeon in similar time means... Means people dont have cosmics :P I think pure is mwa had them bound prior to getting his hex, and it's generally accepted that keyers can bind cosmics in order to have a faster start- in my estimation, they are better for a keyer than laws, but it's down to preference. It's also no problem to have 4+ people with laws if you do your c1's with 3bo- noone there has a hex or csb.

  19. On the contrary- it's much easier for a hex to make armor than someone who uses melee(standing in one place for melee isn't particularly useful), thus every hex should work on getting a higher hunter and craft level. As it has been discussed in private, lossless leather armor is very hard to make and almost impossible without a hex, thus it's not very high on the list of things to do, particularly for someone without a hex. If you do come across a gd that effectively allows for it, good for you, but otherwise there are much better things to be done. As for the 54 sec c1, i've done a 55 second solo c1 in f2p on my newb with cosmics. Probably could do one in less than 40 seconds. As for picking up herbs, as i don't really see problems with leaving useful ones on the ground, people shouldn't generally pick up the higher herbs they can't make potions from or don't have any seconds/vials with them. Same applies to thieving chests- when there are other people around and you can't make any potions or ragers, don't open them.
  20. Sadly, that is not true and killing them after max cmb is good. The issue isn't maxing combats, but rather that once you get around ~450m hard xp there, you will have maxed all melees and for borderline skills, that will become a significant factor. For most of the top players there are also issues with effigy combos that keep them from achieving maximum efficiency, combination of which means that if you do horn agility, it would only be worth it to do crawlers for that 450m hard xp(all of slayer, rc and then agil to max combat). This also depends on the xp rates you use for different skills(crawlers being worse for the higher rates you use) and the effigy rate, that seems to be lower than previously thought(1/800, 820 killrate with 2 minute banking). It largely depends on which xp you value and what skills you are training in this way, so for an accurate estimate, quite a bit of data is needed. Crawlers themselves aren't even very expensive nowadays, only at around 1.5m an hour, so for RC and agility, it's usually reasonable for people that can merchant.
  21. Assuming no time for moneymaking(which is reasonable), yes. Only applies to slayer, rc and agility(no horn), though. Mining might be very boarderline, and you wouldn't get any melee and summoning xp by then. Mining isn't even close if you mine/superheat Yeah, i somehow assumed it for pure mining. Fishing might be one, but again, you can only really crawlers until you can max all melees+ summoning because after that it won't be very efficient any more. Fishing, only considering extra xp to rc and agil would need to be less than 90k an hour for it to be worth it.

  23. The issue with crawlers is that elias will max out ranged VERY fast and will have a halved overall xp rate after that, and assuming he is planning to max all slow skills there, could get up to 600m++ virtual ranged xp. Another issue that he could have is the charms he gets there. If he is picking up greens he would have enough for 200m summoning after 200m slayer/rc/agil there, but a large portion of that xp would be in green charms that are not only much more expensive(which i don't think matters much) but take 3 times more to complete, while telmo could get 200m with crimson/blue only. It's also funny that he could stand to lose up to 40m herblore xp from herbicide alone. The issue is that he isn't manually scrolling the titan, losing ~40 kills with that.

If you have 10 monsters on you it can degrade in 3 hours.
