So Wreck3d's petition for EOC & Old Runescape Servers!
As an oldschool player, the EoC isn't anywhere near the top of the list of bad updates/decisions jagex has made over the years(bonus xp/skill nerfs and sequel of fortune have to be on top of the list for me), it's just very raw as of now.

Chaotics
You use abilities on the same tick as auto attacks(basically doing 2 attacks at once). The problem here is that for 6 tick weapons, abilities restore faster and thus ´´spamming´´ abilities is preferable over waiting 3.6 seconds for an auto attack. With 4 tick weapons, you can actually wait for the auto-attack and be effective. Thus shortbows and wand+book combos will always have an edge with more auto-attacks landed.

Chaotics
You're splitting accuracy from chance to hit monsters? Isn't that the very definition? Give me an example of where accuracy is capped please - I'm actually unaware of any thing of the sort. I am surprised that you are unaware of an accuracy cap... The Chance to hit any monster is 100% (or whatever the game designer have put in, 99%, 95%, but the exact value does not matter in this discussion), regardless of how high your 'accuracy' is, this is true in every single thing under the sun, you cannot get more than 100% chance to hit. While accuracy is very closely linked to chance to hit, it is not a direct conversion (if it was, it would mean that low level players cannot hit anything with bronze weapons due to their accuracy being so low). Thus there must exist a point in that calculation where the resulting chance to hit on the monster has reached the cap (whether that is the absolute cap or the game cap), and any further accuracy increases beyond this point serve absolutely no purpose. Accuracy is a great thing to have, but once you hit that cap, it becomes the most useless stat to upgrade thereafter. I am pretty sure that chance to hit bosses will not hit the cap anytime soon without using the very best gear, the rest of RS is a completely different matter. If one can reliably hit stuff without missing their targets for any length of time using a lower tier magical weapon, then I find absolutely no point in getting a degradeable upgrade that yields no actual upgrade. Magic is unique in this regard that the weapon only provides accuracy and attack speed, while the damage itself is determined by the spell alone, which has no tie to the weapon. Melee and ranged upgrades will always be upgrades because their damage is based on themselves rather than something outside, so even if accuracy is redundant, their damage is unaffected. Accuracy never becomes useless unless your opponent has exactly 0 defense(and as far as i'm aware, no monster in rs does), you just have diminishing returns. Given that the best combat xp is gained now by fighting higher level monsters, the accuracy will almost certainly help. The thing to consider here is rather that a one handed magic weapon will be faster, thus you will be able to land more auto-attacks. With slow weapons like 2h's and the chaotic staff, most of your damage will be done by abilities alone, thus it would be advised to use a slightly less accurate 1h staff and a book when your opponent either has low hp or low defense(~>80% accuracy), or both. That and as ascribed above about the damage part is why magic is quite different from melee and ranged in EoC(and, I might add, has a distinct advantage).

Saradomin Godsword.. Worth it?
Oh how funny it is that these same stupid 'debates' keep popping up.. Husc, you are just plain wrong and should be ashamed.

14th Jan - Kalphite King
How little jagex continues to learn from their own mistakes continues not to amaze me... When KQ was released, she seemed like the hardest boss ever, only to soon be found easily soloable(and that was 2004 soloable, with MSB/dhide and rune throwaxes). One person even got 90-99 ranging there. Now they release the KK, and basically make all the same mistakes. Oh, and don't even get me started on the so called evolution of combat, when a person having spent a few hours examining it will tell you all about how flawed the designs for it are. It's just atrocious that they can't even figure out how to level DPS for 2h and dual weapons.

200M in all Skills
And I never thought this would one day happen... Just hope jagex doesn't release a new skill just before SUOMI gets there, zezima beat the release of farming by 2-3 days when he maxed out for the first time.

1,5m won't happen any time soon either imo. But if it is a common slayer assignment, price will inevitably drop hard. It is not common, at least not from Kuradal. When it first came out i spent like 1000 points to get a task...I gave up because I just didn't get it. And also I haven't got it afterwards too. It's definitely not common- i too failed to get a task in 26 cancels. Also, because the creatures have ALOT of lp(most of any normal slayer monster thus far, disregarding bosses that can be slayed and ice wyrms that are killed faster), the drops are that much rarer assuming the droprate from males is 1/512(the same as whip from demons, mildly referenced by jagex), it would take almost 4 hours with max equipment to get one of these(and that's on slayer task). The current price seems relatively stable for now, atleast. It's highly unlikely bots will bother with these(for many reasons).

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
Read the entire first post, or wait a day and do significantly less reading when I put up the new guidelines. ;) I must be blind. You are not doing yourself any services, really. DGS is very discouraged with people that can't read the guidelines before asking questions or trying to join the clan, people that can't do that are immediately looked down upon and noted for not being the brightest crayon in the box.

How to train cooking
As a general rule of thumb, it's never worth it to cook anything but wines. You will be very well served making the money beforehand and leveling the skill fast instead of wasting alot of time getting free xp.

Draconic jadinkos and Zamorak's favour
Firstly, you shouldn't hunt draconics before around 90 hunter- igneous/carrion combo will be better xp before that(check out the HH guide in AoW for more information about that). As for zamorak favors, you should always use them. Just calculate how many you'll need for 99 and only hunt zamorak jads until you have all the vines needed- it won't take too long. 80-99 should take around 200 zammy vines(assuming you have cleansing scroll). Seeds will never be an issue if you go for 99 hunter.

[Buying] Battlestaves
People buy the staves for upwards of 9k each so you'd be costing people a decent mid/low level moneymaker by trying to buy them at ge mid. As far as crafting goes, you'd actually be more efficient by buying them from ge/zaff and selling them on forums, then making blue/red dragonhide. I'm relatively certain this should be moved to marketplace.

to everyone, please remember that items being degradable is a major part of a weapons use. Something that costs nothing in the long run can't be expected to be equal to something that can cost up to 300k to use, every hour. Similarly to ranged weapons having a different cost to use, there is a balance between the whip and rapier aswell(although jagex values money at too high a rate). Wielding levels have never had much correlation to armor or weapon usefulness...

Either best defensive melee armor with healing familiar or defensive titan(iron or steel) with no overheads sometimes using soul split or full melee void(or karils on task) with melee prayer(letting them mage you). Ranging is also possible. Best off task is full elite melee with dragon defender praying melee, on task FSH and Torva with dragon defender.

200m xp
as far as i'm aware, using separate styles is best. This, ofcource, assumes you use a chaotic rapier(with whip, controlled would be better).

Introduction to myself?
Just remember that if you do decide to post guides, you will not have right over them anymore- TIF will claim the ownership of those guides. Also, as quite a few serious scapers use these forums, be prepared to be critiqued for false or non-factual data.

Are you sure you can hit 710+ there? because unless you can do that, melee will still be faster(the accuracy is similar, but killing with range would be relatively more difficult as you'd need to maximize your distance). On task, range wouldn't have a chance. Just as reference, the normal, distance and jad bonus independent max hit of these would be lower than 400.

People pay 20M for +2 strength legs. Yet I see people at the G.E. whining that the whip vine is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE to justify the +2 strength bonus it gives. When I tell them that tassets are only +2 strength and are 20M they tell me it's totally different. When I tell them the vine whip doesn't even take up an equipment slot they tell me to STFU. Imagine for a second jagex never released dungeoneering, there was no chaotics and whip was still the best dps weapon, and this update was released. How much do you think the whip vine would go for then? Answer: A hell of a lot. People are willing to pay a lot for the bonus of zerker ring and bandos and such because they are undeniably the best choice for that equip slot. Because we have rapier and other chaotics which outclass the whip in every way, that's the only reason these things are seen as overpriced. Because anyone who cares enough to pay top dollar for a few str bonus would get a chaotic. So the whip vine is inferior and pretty much pointless, except for the niche market of lazy people who refuse to dunge but have money to blow. It wouldn't be worth too much even in that case, but it's useless to even think of such a situation. Bandos is the best undegradeable melee armor that has strength and prayer bonus, dropped by a boss monster. Berserker rings have 2x the strength increase(and nearly 2x dps increase) and are dropped by a boss monster. Every ~82 slayer newb can kill these things, and you need 80 slayer to even use it(=they'll probably try to get one themselves). I did another one hour trip there. The place has cleared out considerably, and i was able to slay at near max pace. Got 16 blue charms in that hour, so that seems very decent. Their other drops are horrible, and you'll lose ALOT of time if you pick up any of the 100% drops. The whip vine is already down to about 7m so.... eh.

Guards have 2000 lp and males have 2800 lp(looked at vids to be accurate). By my estimation, assuming maxed gear for both with relatively empty room(although there are alot of spawns) they are around 38-40k slayer xp an hour, with effigy rates of 3,6 hours per effigy for guards and 2,5 hours per effigy for males.

One task(they are all assigned as mutated jads) that is good or decent for the average slayer. Nearly everything about them will be average. I did 26 cancels and couldn't get a task so they likely aren't commonly assigned.

Was right about alot of things concerning this update but for the fact that they'd make it a lackluster special weapon with barely any boost over the normal whip. Was well prepared for the update- the 201's are very easy to kill(they are dark beasts with graphics and animations, btw), but they can hit very hard, up to around 350(most i was hit was around 320, but some was absorbed). Torva is definitely very useful there- with full torva, dragon defender and steel titan(for 15% more melee def bonuses) i got hit very rarely, so i maybe needed to soul-split around 600-800 lp back every 5 minutes. Didn't get any drops and left once everyone figured out bringing mage. As for them as a slayer monster, they won't be fast xp(around 35-38k an hour) and they are unagressive, so you can't at all afk them. The whip vine is bound to crash hard, while whips are entirely unaffected. pic of the whip vine(min quality) The spec seems useless for wildy as your target would need to stand still for it to keep hitting.

exactly also the worse slayer gets the more realistic crawlers gets. Yes and there isnt much that could make slayer better that wouldnt make crawlers even better Well, a 6th block(for 300+ qp) and the jadinkos being assigned+being fast xp and effigies would do the trick, aswell as the whip add-on being genuinely useful(as it wouldn't affect crawlers much anyway).

Unorthodox farming training.
Another method, although now significantly nerfed, is c4'ing your c1 floors(and this is only worth it for that purpose) and picking all patches.

Fishing Method, Monster Weaknesses?
I think the whip question rather depends on details we are yet unable to predict, namely the cost of the item and whether or not it will degrade. Firstly, if it's a 100m+ item, numerous people wouldn't be able to afford one and thus the rapier would be a much simpler item to get ahold of. If the whip doesn't degrade, it will be used for most slayer tasks apart from dragons and waterfiends as weaknesses for normal rs monsters are rare and insignificant. Again, this assumes 94 slash and 101 str bonus.

Ha ha I lolled
The fact that they would provide such a reply for dungeoneering just tells everyone how concerned they are. I think they know full-well how bad the problems are and are trying their best to cover things up. As for the clan citadels, although i somewhat like the idea of them, the fact that it will take months to develop them into any significant tier will probably disappoint many people. For atleast a month, no matter how big your clan is, everyone will have the same citadel, and that just makes me feel as though they are half-assing the update- they've probably only finished the first one or two tiers and will milk the whole thing for months to come, although there won't actually be any significant updates(hello dg 1.5 1.75 1.875 1.9xxx WTF???). The number of people required for the maximum citadel is very reasonable and shouldn't ever be a problem.

Drop rate and drop chance
Well, as in RS any drop that doesn't have 100% drop rate has a drop rate on exactly 0, it's not worth even discussing that term. As this is the case, the two terms can easily be used in place of eachother without causing any confusion.
