QBD Guide
I don't think there are too many great guides for it to begin with, but the strategy page on rune wiki(not the utterly useless crappy one by jagex) is a good place to start. To me, what it all boils down to is: a) do you have a t80 weapon(she is t80, so anything below you'll not be very effective against her) b) are you any good at reacting to all the specials and can you use abilities effectively If the answer is yes then and only then should you use it as a moneymaking method, otherwise you'll not kill her fast enough to be effective. Turmoil(and the mage/range eqvivalents) and overloads are also highly suggested for fast kills. As most of the damage you'd be taking is from specials, you will need to figure out what damage is effective to avoid and what isn't, ideally, you shouldn't use more than 8 food per kill and average less than 4- banking takes quite a bit of time and effort. I think the most effective setup would be full void, dual ccb with yak and 2 bunyips and a champions tacklebox. This way you can get around 15 kills an hour and do over 36 kills per trip.

Dual Wield Update
That is a very nice find. Unfortunately, i'm fairly sure it's the average of the two, so you'd have the combined accuracies of t70 and t80 for a total of around t77 accuracy. And yes, the upkeep is the same as any main-hand chaotic. The off-hands are half-price.

Dual Wield Update
That was the bit I was missing, thanks. Oh, last thing, in the TWW update, "The latest batch of Evolution of Combat updates is here! Dual wielding has been brought onto the level of two-handed weaponry in raw damage" from the update notes, does that mean main hand abilities now also take off hand into account? (Or at least 2h and dual wield has been normalised)? Basically they did what they should have done from the start- instead of ability damage being based on only your main hand weapon, it's now based on both. But in any case, the difference in raw damage between same tier weapons is really very, very small now, so when the style matters, using the correct style weapon will deal most damage. For chaotics, dual claws are best for single target non-specific and slash, dual rapier is best for stab and maul is best for crush and multi-target(although melee multi-target is somewhat limited). For range, dual ccb is now the best followed by zaryte(+arrow weakness) and royal. For mage, virt>chaotic. Potions and prayer don't make a significant difference for varying weapon speed, however, all armor damage bonuses(and i'm guessing void) do.

Dual Wield Update
It's true that ability damage is based on damage bonus, but that's exactly why i'm making it easy for you and comparing things that are easily comparable- the ability damage, which can easily be tested using slice ability on dummys, as the critical of it is always 125% ability damage. If the ability damage was the same as damage bonus, all weapons below max speed would be useless, thus any weapon that is not fastest(4 tick) get's a penalty to equalize things- t5 is 80% and t6 is 66%. As a whole, you are doing everything right using your abilities, but the consideration here is that if you can't use an ability in the timeframe of an AA, an AA will occour and give additional damage. As the fastest abilities are 3 seconds, realistically, you'll do some AA damage with t4, little with t5 and none with t6. Also, claws cost 100k tokens each and start up 100%(though require 1m investment).
-
Dual Wield Update
Rapier/long have around 1% higher ability base damage, but claws have a total of 1.8% more critical(~1.8% damage), so the claws have higher raw dps. Also, at a high attackrate you will get some additional AA's. In addition, don't forget how damage bonuses are applied(both from armor/prayer/pots).

Dual Wield Update
I think the main thing here is still the speed. 4 ticks per attack gets atleast twice the auto-attacks than 5 ticks, while 6 ticks gets none. So after a bit more testing t60(dragon weapons) with no damage bonuses and slice critical(=125% maximum ability damage): 2h, 6 tick(spear, 2h, halberd): 1276 dual, 6 tick(baxe): 1276 dual, 5 tick(longsword): 1270 dual, 4 tick(scim, mace, claw): 1264 dual, main 4, off 6(claw and off-baxe): 1268 dual, main 4, off 5(claw and off-long): 1266 This basically applies to all tiers, and all bonuses either are as good or better for the faster weapon, plus the additional autoattacks(as you can't spam abilities as fast). In my opinion, this means the best setups right now are: dual chaotic claws for t80 melee main drygore mace and off drygore rapier/long for t90 melee

Dual Wield Update
Also, wouldn't claws be better than rapier/longsword(assuming style doesn't matter) anyway? They are also considerably cheaper... After testing dragon claws(4 tick dual t60) and dragon spear(6 tick 2h t60), claws are better for sure- they have additional critical(plus 1.8% damage), basically the same slice critial(1264 vs 1276) and you get get additional autoattacks.

4th March - The World Wakes
As far as i'm aware of, it doesn't matter one bit what you choose(to things in general, i mean).
-
4th March - The World Wakes
The quest takes what, 30 minutes to complete, even without a proper guide. As a dedicated quest hater, i was utterly impressed how little of a 'quest' this thing was. 1 puzzle and 5 bosses? that's a joke, not a quest. Maybe the lore may be significant to some, but if it has done 5 180's over the time you've been playing the game then it kind of renders itself pointless.

4th March - The World Wakes
[spoiler=no spoiler here...]So guys, lets stop it with the hide tags and talk about stuff that really matters- what are the gloves like and how hard is it to obtain them? Also, as usual, jagex- the king of balanced content just had to make the 3rd hardest boss(es) completely useless by the introduction of the ring. Next week we'll have level 99 throwaxes, just to keep the balance.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
I'm fairly sure after the debacle with random events early on, they changed it to 1 per day. It'd be too much of a coincidence for this many people not to have gotten 2 on the same day. Anyway, with me still playing catch-up, finally managed to complete my fleet. At 22% trough bowl, it's been really painful not being able to upgrade things until now.

PoP advice
+10/20/25/30% more goods(always rounded down), exactly what it says on the tin. Arguably the most useful crew-member to have.
-
PoP advice
No. Higher regions train crew much faster- you get 3 first levels off of your first trip in the bowl on new crew. Also, just remember to not waste alot of cherrywood as you'll need 8k for 4th ship.
-
PoP advice
Being in basically the same situation(well, 5% trough bowl now), i'd say you are a bit screwed by the choices you've made thus far. I ended scythe with 3 bureaucrat, 3 merchants, 2 chimeras, 2 seawitches and 5/5/5 of all other crew with all cherrywood upgrades and 13k wood left over. As bowl is the first region you'll not be able to cover all the rerolls, 4th ship is a major priority. As i can use bureaucrats on every ship, the bowl rudder upgrade is not of utmost importance(>80% of my ships go out at max speed right now), and the upgrade itself is a bit lackluster as well(only +200). Judges would be good but they cost a ton to buy, thus it's most effective to me to get 2x of every normal jade crew and one jade merchant(for bigger voyages/barmaid tip) and hold off on other upgrades until i get my 4th ship. Yes, this will mean all your voyages will be in the 65-85% range(with merchant, ofcource), but it will certainly pay off nicely when you do have the 4th ship, which should be at around 35-45% trough bowl. Also, as others have mentioned, do not underestimate the value of merchants. A 10% loss in success-rate is easily compensated for with 25%(or 30%) more goods.

Preferred gear for Fight Kiln / Fight Caves / General Combat?
It's probably possible with dual drygore because of how accuracy works now, but unless you can manage that, it'll be much harder with only t80 one type.
-
Pincers - upgrade/recruitment priority
I thought rudder was to be upgraded last? I'm in the sycthe right now so I'm not a full expert tho. In both scythe and pincers rudder should get updated first to take advantage of as many voyages as possible. You can probably manage without the bowl rudder before 4th ship if you use bureaucrat(or JoD) on every ship.

2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
It's amazing how few remember it but yeah, pc was the first sight of trouble for rs. As combat became an easy skill, everything else degraded thereafter. I also consider skillcapes a major reason of why the community degraded as fast as it did. And those are just a few reasons why don't consider 07scape any sort of a ''golden age''. or even oldschool.

Isn't 3rd are rare enough? :wall: I suppose, but the introduction of them will be extremely slow and in my opinion won't be as highly desired as say holiday items. Whatever happens, it will be really cool to watch unfold over the coming months. Just look at how rare 3rd age is even in todays game. Also, don't forget that many of those items are best in their class(nondegradeable armor), thus making them not only rare but also useful(and, relative to 07scape, they look really good).

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
It seems the upgrades for port buildings that give a boost to better quality crew do make a significant difference. I myself never got even a 2.5k captain before scythe, but been getting them and even a 10k one since getting a few of those building upgrades(also gotten highest tier crew more easily).

200M in all Skills
I think the most amazing thing about this all is that although the attitude(which, i have to say, i like), suomi is still playing by jagex'es rules. If i were in his position, i'd happily throw a private party in spite of what jagex has planned or not. Hell, i'd pay to not go to the nerdfest that is jagex headquarters. This is your achievement, suomi.

I figure dfh and dfs will be rare enough to consume lots of money. Also, 3rd age is also available, which is super rare even now. Also, those items(most of them anyway) are best in their slot, making them rare, pricey and useful.

Curses, anyone? I'm guessing there will be quite alot of content pkers and skillers alike would crave for. Also, totally agree about rares. If they are going to have them at all, make then free and replaceable from draynor.

It's also probably more useful to make a new account to be able to play both games at once(which, i'm guessing, you otherwise wouldn't).
