Did the guy break any rules? Not that i know of. So if he didn't, and he didn't insult the OP in any way, what did he exactly do wrong? The offense he is being accused of can't be dealt with within rs chat screen, so why even have the option there. If i said that i bought rs gp from you, should both of us be banned from these forums?

That's exactly my point. Any decent person would stop the conversion there, tell them that their views on the subject are different(that you respect rs rules) and move on, but oh no, you go behind others backs to report people to make yourself feel warm and fuzzy inside. It's pathetic. Actually, i somewhat blame the player moderator system for this, as it encourages people to look for trouble where there isn't, and more often than not, innocent people get hurt because of that. And for what? I haven't seen the silver crown assosiation be any less stupid/nooby/greedy or selfish as the rest of us. Hell, even the report system on these forums is bogus in that those who don't report others are at a disadvantage, and when the insults carry to other threads, there is a likely ban waiting for you(or a warning, if you are lucky).

Being a rat should be reportable, too. In any case, anything anyone ever says on the internet can't be interpreted as the truth, thus it'd be pointless to have people report for real word trading when it requires interaction, not talk, and must be proven, not just bladdered out. Multilogging isn't on the report screen either, as far as i know, for the same reason.

Crawlers are legitimately 46 mins per effigy max, with no tricks. Assuming you can constantly keep demons blocking themselves, the same number might be possible at demons, but it's almost or completely impossible to manage that(as, you know, almost all of them died at different times!). Demons could come up to around an hour per effigy, but they'll never be better without multicombat. Also, are you [developmentally delayed]ed or is there any other reason to make 3 posts in a ROW, multiple times? There is a helpful edit button so other people could read the thread without you spamming it full. I'm sorry but really, as i know the rule was brought in by your initiative i'd have thought you'd already done the testing to confirm 2h really is better. In any case, yes, i'd be willing to help test this, as i don't think the testing is even that hard(you basically need to record accuracy on t11 mages, rangers, level 128 zombies and 136 skeletons, all of which are common).

I honestly don't think it was that good of a call, though i don't agree that 2h is better than baxe. As my analysis suggests, the weapons are very much equal and server some similar and some different roles in a dungeon, so keeping the number of 2hs similar to the number of baxes is important. Thus, although i don't agree that there should be a strict rule, there should atleast be a strong suggestion that if you don't use a csb or never key(which is common in the cc), you should have a prom 2h bind. Having 5 primal battleaxes is definitely worse than having 3 prom 2h's and 2 baxes, so that's why the rule made sense, but not in a strict fashion.

Is fire cape better for someone with 70 prayer too? And is it better on daggannoth(lighthouse) or specter tasks? The fact of the matter is, while yes, a higher strength bonus gives you more dps, there comes a point at witch the extra dps is meaningless and you might aswell use sw cape so you'd save time and money. At cave crawlers, for example, a setup of proselyte and sw cape is cheaper and faster than bandos+fire cape because your melee dps only makes up a fourth of your total DPS, thus banking for 3 minutes every 40 minutes is worse than banking for 3 minutes every 80 minutes. Efficiency isn't about raw bonuses, but you also have to be smart about it, which not everyone can manage. Rustoid, i'm not sure who showed a stick up there so deep, but really, i don't think anyone looks at your replies as an intelligent person expressing their knowledge in an insightful way, looking at the big picture, not what's on your nose(using the word always usually renders you an idiot, anyway). That outfit looks horrible to be honest. Do you really think it looks nice, or are you just trying to mix a lot of show off items together? You are asking that from a guy who posted pics of every prayer level up to 99, 4 xp before 99 and 2 pictures+a vid of 99 prayer? Magic isn't a style you should be using alone and nor is melee. Maxed mage(csb, cele cat, t9 blitzer/blazer) has roughly the same dps as prim 2h with t9 berserker, only that those bonuses apply to less monsters. Realistically, you need 2 combat styles anyway, one of which should be melee(and range only with hex). As for grimy, i think you are overestimating the stats on the armors npcs have. Your assumption is based on them having full armors with full stats, but i don't think that's the case. Monsters that are weak to a specific style are definitely in the 200 def max hit range based on accuracy. I estimated that the monsters had about 5 defense levels above the requirement of the level to wear the armor. Which is fairly conservative considering tier 11 mages should have about 115 defense. Which is a good 16 levels over their respective tier. Secondly I think full armor is a fair assumption when it comes to rangers/mages. Because they both wear full armor, and the accuracy on rangers would not be possible if they did not wear full armor. Under that assumption your accuracy on t6 rangers with 2h or baxe would be around 60-70% range, which clearly seems bogus to me(they are only like level 60 monsters). I'm not saying that they don't wear full armor, but i think the armor they wear doesn't have the same stats as the ones monsters drop or you can make yourself. That way, jagex can easily manipulate defense into creating weaknesses for different classes, as we see from zombies and skeletons(and it's highly likely those monsters don't have any slash/crush armor on them at all).

I think this setup is really the best, apart from the fact that if you should be cannoning(which most people do), an arcane is better than CSB for the fact that you never mage one wyrm 5 times anyway(the special always happens on a 5th hit on a monster).

Although i know grimy, obt and mc disagree with this, i'm leaning towards primal baxe being atleast as good as prom 2h, but for an analysis, lets turn to some graphs and grimys dps calc: The basic areas where melee is and should be used in dungeoneering are(assuming you have 2 weapons to choose from): 1. Low defense monsters- examples include shades and lower level monsters. On these monsters, your best attack style should be used, which is slash from both 2h and baxe. These monsters have up to ~50 def max hit. 2. Slash weak monsters- examples include zombies, mages and rangers(last two because of their armor). On these monsters, slash style should be used, which is the best style for both 2h and baxe. These monsters have up to ~220 def max hit against slash. 3. High def, melee resistant and stab weak monsters- examples include high level demons, bats and hellhounds. Your best melee style should be used for these monsters, which is slash for both 2h and baxe. These monsters have up to around ~550 def max hit against slash. 4. Crush weak monsters- examples are all skeletons and fire giants. Crush style should be used for these monsters, which is the secondary style for both 2h and baxe.These monsters have up to around ~220 def max hit. Now, i've plotted 2 graphs to compare the two weapons(prom 2h and prim baxe) in these four areas of work. For all the calculations a setup of hood+weapon is used, with t9 berserker ring, 99 str/attack, nonpotted, no prayers. (the graphs are plotted as DPS vs. def max hit, btw) Now, in the first area, baxe has the clear advantage, being up to 10% better than 2h. In the second area, the weapons are virtually identical, so there isn't anything to really set them apart. In the 3rd area, 2h is the clear winner, being up to 15% better at really high def. For the forth area, baxe is again on top, and is really always a better crush weapon than 2h. Keep in mind, while these graphs show a 2-1-1 win for the baxe, it isn't always as simple, and i'd say they are completely degenerate for most teams, so you'd want an equal amount of either of these weapons. Also, what the baxe has going for it is that it is one handed(can use tank ring with it or mage with ease), potion and prayer bonuses(strong melee, turmoil) help the faster, less accurate weapon more and as said by green, it's easier to SS flash with one. I don't really understand banning Primal Baxe without CSB, but then again, it's not my decision, and as i do use a CSB, it doesn't affect me at all. Also, for anyone mocking what grimy said about dinos, maybe you guys just don't know how to hunt dinos or haven't been in a team with a good hex in it? I've seen grimy make full range armor using no extra time while doing gds, so, instead of mocking, you guys should learn to become better and more informed.

So what stops from people getting 80 attack, 40 str and 60 def with rapier? The best stats for a staker is maxed. You just have to know how to stake.

I think that's true in a good team(like 3bo teams) but on some dgs teams, there aren't enough experienced dungeoeers around to help the keyer effectively. That said, i've always played the part of a wingman, anyway, and Michael frequently plays that role real well, too.

Are you telling me that you can manage to kill Dagannoth rex, Prime and Supreme all in a fast spawn world (1500+ players) before Rex respawns again? yes Yes, but there aren't many people that can do it effectively. For this you definitely need a cannon, and the max pop i've reached with tribrid is 1200. It's still more than 2x profit of solo maging, anyway.

A berserker ring increases your chance of receiving a whip or a dragon chain, too. And well, i guess jagex just need a better PR department and some common sense.

Wowowow, don't get too carried away now. There are plenty of useless skills in the game that have as little or less content than smithing, and there isn't a particular reason players should expect jagex to cater for the players wishes(which they have never really done). It's bad that they hyped the update in a misleading fashion, but smithing isn't the only skill that is suffering from being useless for most everything.

But i still hate it for all discussion and thoughts i have put in trying to understand it. :mad: I appreciate the correction. RoW just went from something I NEVER used to something I will FREQUENTLY use. And you know that it'll be useful because...? I seriously doubt it'll still become more useful than a trusty berserker, or the kind. As for the other updates, what a way to let us down easy, ey? first they have an awesome month with free trade and wilderness(best update in years), and then they come up with all this ****. wow.

Well, when tribriding, you kill just as many rex'es in an hour, only you manage to squeeze in 50-60 other DK's(90-100 dk's an hour, max) on the downtime you'd be waiting. Killing>waiting. Waiting around while you could use it to make 2x the money is....stupid. The end.
