  1. It seems, atleast to me, that nothing but 99 is good. My explosion rate over a larger sample size is about 1.5 times lower than grimys with 97 vs. 99 firemaking. It's one of the easiest skills anyway, so 99 really shouldn't be a problem to anyone(it's like 470k xp an hour at like 2 gp/xp with mages and horn).
  2. xbow vs ccb is the exact argument of rapier vs. maul. 66% faster speed more than makes up for the slight loss in accuracy and the loss in damage.
  3. Hand cannon is best as it has massive ranged strength and decent range accuracy, while TD's don't have great range def. Karils, too has good range accuracy coupled with great speed. CCB and RCB are the same apart from the accuracy, which doesn't help too much at TD's. CCB has the same max damage output as the rune counterpart, so that's why it's not always preferable. Also, i think you forgot to add zaryte to that list, which i think would come in ahread of ccb.
  4. As it is the case for most skills, so we should all stop trying and not train skills beyond what is useful right now... What is your point? It's best to use bonus xp on the most expensive training methods as the bonus applies to any gp/xp you receive, and win most money the higher gp/xp the skill is. Herblore, even at 92+ is a great choice for this as it is reasonably the most expensive bonus skill(prayer would be about on par, but bonus doesn't apply here).
  5. The thread is clearly made to mock you and make you feel like you are worthless... In any case, for people who bought supplies after the announcement and made tradeable pots, they effectively wasted their bonus modifiers for nothing, but it's quite not the case for people who made untradeable pots or got the supplies beforehand. I needed more super prayers anyway, and i seriously doubt i could have gotten the supplies for half the price at some other time.
  6. in before lock. Seriously, it's never worked, it's always been brought out by jagex and clearly stated that bonus xp(like the altar) isn't multiplied. If you haven't got that yet, you either can't read(unlikely) or are stupid.
  7. It's an easy choice but really between two poor familiars. Iron titan is already like 3+ times better than wolper, and some lower creatures might be better too(like dagga or nail beast, as they have combat specs).
  8. I [bleep]ing lol'd so hard. How do I miss these floors? Oh yeah, I actually SLEEP! LIES! Anyway, everyone knows i'm the prettiest on that picture...
  9. I must be honest, i haven't seen this topic before, and i'm not really a fan of this sort of 'fake' challenges(cutting your limbs off for no apparent reason). There are plenty of hard things left for most people, like soloing divine, duoing Nex or even keying a 15 minute warped. I don't see why the challenges have to be bank-restricted other than the fact that some people aren't good at moneymaking, in which case that should be the challenge to them. Other than that, there challenges feel just like me trying to do anything on rsc.
  10. The way you are proposing would work if i gave you gp per hour figures, but those are gp per xp figures. VERY different. You are digging yourself into a real deep hole here.
  11. Your first grade math teacher would be crying right now, i'm sorry to say. You should really look up how efficiency is calculated not to embarrass yourself(and all your teachers, too) again. Firstly, you take the faster method as reference(it's actually incorrect to not use reference time, but it makes it more clear), thus one method takes 1 hour for an amount of xp, the other takes 1,4 hours, and the difference is 0,4 hours. Next, you compare the cost per 315k xp, which comes at 10,08m and 4,1m respectively, so you'd have to make that price difference up in the time you'd save with the faster method, and in this particular case, comes out at nearly 15m gp/an hour. Maths.
  12. I can't understand why you are so stupid. Teaching me calculus and efficiency is never a good idea. For your knowledge, you'd need to be earning more than 17m an hour for rune ceremonial sword to be more efficient than adamant plates, and even pro nex hunters can't mate that much. Oh, and is this going to turn into that usual flamewar again, where you are obviously wrong and still talk crap? sign me up.
  13. The xp in the kb is perfect(120%) xp. Just walk away is you are going to straight out lie to our faces and know nothing about what you are posting. I'm not lying. I swear I got just over 10k on a perfect rune sword; unless I totally spaced out and missed somehow got an extra 2k on my total xp counter between swords It went up by just over 10k for a perfect rune sword. There is a one time 15k bonus for making a perfect sword(of any type) and a one time 5k bonus for making a 90%+ sword(of any time), so yes, you can get over 10k xp for rune swords, but only twice. Other than that, assuming you make 40 swords an hour(going for quality over quantity) for an average multiplier of 110%(so over 50% perfect) you'll get 315k smithing xp an hour for a cost of 32 gp per xp. That's compared to addy plates that are around 225k xp an hour and ~13 gp per xp, or gold ores that are around 120k xp an hour at a cost of 4 gp/xp. The ceremonial swords aren't a good training method.

  15. I'm sorry to say, but this is all crap. The ceremonial swords are too slow and expensive to train with.(mithril swords, for example, are as expensive as adamant plates but slower xp) You might aswell superheat+smelt for smithing, as it's be much more efficient unless you make 3m+ an hour, in which case make adamant plates. Oh, and as i know you will disagree, rune IV requires 18 bars worth, not 2,25 bars. There go the calculations, too. Another thing you missed(or just don't know, as it seems) is that a perfect sword gives 120% xp, where as a single mistake takes that down to 98%, so there is a huge divine in making perfect and good swords.
  16. D'oh! Did you get back in time? Old pic, I don't think he even died. I dc-ed for a whole stage(shadow, dc-ed at first mage, got back when shadow mage was 1/10th lp) and i didn't even get hit during the time. The dc was so bad that even my ls went off  Just too bad that dieing is a joke at Nex.
  17. I don't get it... Obviously more than 1 person at Hellhounds is too many... Which it is, based on that picture. one person can clear the whole room at hounds, 2 is wayyy too many. Good slayers slay in the resource dungeon, anyway.

Did you guys agree to share the drops? It's not a forgone conclusion that every team does(and even some pro teams(wink, maz) sometimes don't share loot). As for bandos, why would having 2 inventory spots for bandos be any use over karils when the max hit is capped anyway? 6 strength bonus is next to useless when you are mauling, and if it makes to take more damage, its even more useless.
  19. Realistically, there is no set level you should keep your prayer bonus at if you don't give us an income. For most slayer tasks at a modest income of 1m an hour, fury, bandos and fire cape setup would be best for tasks of turm/piety and fury/bandos/sw cape best for tasks of melee pray, turm/piety, but again, it's highly dependent on your income. Basically, as blade stated, strength bonus(and sometimes attack bonus) is almost always preferable to prayer bonus because of how they work. If you can make a decent amount of money an hour(3m+) you should never use sw cape unless inventory space is a problem(in which case you could use super prayers).

The damage soak is minimal, as nex maxes at around 30, thus it's really a minimal factor to consider. Mage def, unless you have 200+ of it(in which case you'd need spectral anyway) is useless at nex because of her high accuracy(to even see some mage missed you need full arma/spectral at minimal). Thus, as the book has 4 more range attack and 5 more prayer bonus, it's actually preferable. What i would still like to know is the difference of say ccb+ruby, rapier and maul say on blood form. So far, all i've seen is a load of conflicting results, and as it's almost impossible to test anything at nex(because of how inconsistent the kills/setups whatever are), it's hard to know much. As far as i've seen and tracked my xp, maul+karils setup seemed quite a bit better than ccb+diamond. Void has seemed somewhat terrible compared to karils/armadyl, although i haven't tried acp+deflector yet.
  21. In 3m slayer exp after 99, I recorded 106m profit. And that was before the free trade came back. So, the BEST mage armor in game takes around 225 hours of Frosts/TD's/DK's to get(or alot less if you merchant, but lets consider idiots here). How much does 99 rc take to get? the same 225 hours, i might add. So, is it really bad that the best armor in game is in some way equivalent to getting a hard 99 skill? I don't think so... Also, slayer isn't a moneymaker, just like rcing, fishing, woodcutting or most of the skills in the game infact.
  22. rofl'd irl. laungage is pure win. I liked video :P buut a few tips. Oh, i have a tip: Bring RoL to Nex to justify your displayname. Rollllll'd
  23. uhm... so they talk about rewards and really...there is none. Great thing i haven't maxed the smithing skill yet. Oh wait...
  24. Some prices, many may be wrong +- 10%(because of fluctuations) helm-plate-legs Torva 0.5 - 1.1 - 1.2 Pernix 0.17 - 1.5 - 0.7 Virtus 0.13 - 0.55 - 0.21 Zaryte should be like 0.3 I think it's because most people sell the armors in the ge. Forums are for merchants, teams and buyers who need armor pieces(not full sets) sell/buy on the ge, as it helps them with LS.
  25. Wat? You going for an all out range setup now? There is way too much confusion in the nex communities around... <_< congratz on the robes, was that 8x 27m?(wondering about price)
