3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
It's the initial hype of being able to actually buy hats, and having normal trade back. I predict red will stabilize somewhere in the 600m neighborhood with a kind of sophomore slump for all the hats. What i'm most interested in, however, is the prices of ancient armors. Any news on those?

Normal prayers vs Ancient
Want to have a good guess why it hasn't been brought out? Yeah...i'm really sick about all these misconceptions about staking. People disallow ANYTHING they aren't 1000% sure about and don't stake people whose stats/weapons/whatever they aren't sure about.

Please tell me this post was sarcastic. PLEASE... Seriously...someone must have e-hurt your wagon real bad...

Dungeoneering
Dam, these people really know how to make polls. Should have made one of the old fashioned ones: Does your mother know you are gay? Yes. No. And well, as said by blade, it's possible, both in f2p and p2p with various degrees of difficulty, but it's never worth it to be level 3.

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
Estremes in Wildy Poll tl;dr most of TIF want extremes in wildy and see no reason not to put them in. Most of TIF aren't pkers, as this is primarily a skilling community, so that really isn't a conclusive opinion. There is alot of debate about the subject, and there are atleast as many reasons to not allow them than there is to allow them, and it's easy to see why jagex took the easy way out by not allowing them.

Is the Zaryte Bow the best at anything?
I request you do the same. Thanks. And how many 1-itemers will be running around the wilderness with a 200-300m bow? Not only would hand cannon be more effective for that, you wouldn't need to risk your bank doing something that stupid.

4th Binds
With berserker, rapier is always better for stabbing and slashing than spear. Having a spear in addition to any melee weapon sounds really stupid as the whole point of it is to be a good overall weapon without berserker. Pure melee dps would actually be rapier/hood/neck/(brace/boots/gloves).

A multi-way dungeon that is pvp?
Not much discussion value if you want to discuss the possibilities a level 49 pure might have on 1.5k servers. I too, must have missed jagex stating that the dungeon would be multy, which i actually very much doubt. If a dungeon like that isn't multy, it will be very good for both MH-ers and pkers.

Where is the Love for members?
I don't think there is any reason free players should love members, but neither is there a reason for hate. I think the OP is assuming strong emotions where there actually aren't many at all. As for the botting discussion, members are just as bad at it. If you do anything at ge and don't talk = bot, if you don't want to be a level 67's personal ***** = bot.

4th Binds
Probably rapier/hood/neck/plate/CSB as it's good overall without much fuss. Switch to 2h at 113.

Future Update Discussions
How is it not a real update when we practically get a new class of boss monsters to hunt for loot and xp(pvp items/statues and brawlers)? Seems quite real to me, atleast i haven't been to such dungeon yet, even in 07'.

Is it really free-trade?
There are no restrictions within trade screen = it's free trade. GE is 100% optional. If GE was mandatory, i'd agree, but it's not the case. Merchants can no longer change the value of items, but only the guide value of items. Thus, when a buyout stops, nobody has to buy the items at guide value and those merchants could and likely would lose large sums of money by buying items for too high a price. The whole point of manipulation was to change the price of items, which is no longer possible by simple buyout.

Celestial Surgebox charges?
In all likelyhood, either 2.1 or 2.1 divided by number of air runes billion, surely enough for anything you'd have in mind.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
As i'm preparing to return with free trade I really appreciate getting extra information. Really nice to see that the guide is still helpful to some, almost half a year in.

Best mid level staker build?
muggi is right. Making some obscure accounts to win stakes has never really been a way to go. People can see your stats, and if they can't, they won't stake you. The best lower level staker you can make is 99 mage, 99 def and 99 hp for box mage staking, but apart from that, 138 cb is the way to go.
-
The return of staking??
Maybe because it...isn't? Yes, while a single fight might a tossup under perfect conditions, there is still skill in quite a few things that make a great staker. Not everyone has the guts. Not everyone has the feel. Not everyone has the knowledge. Not everyone knows when to quit, when to up the stakes. Poker, under perfect conditions, is like flipping a coin. Wonder why people enjoy that. People should never discount for intangible qualities.

Sagittarian Bow vs Promethium
With the choice between primal maul and katagon 2h, i'd rather go with primal maul and have celestial surgebox for other monsters. 3 tiers is alot to give up for a slash option, and mage usually very accurate on other mobsters regardless.

Cwars
Not everyone enjoys cwars. It's actually up there with MA for me, so i'd never even consider doing it for 'fun'. Damn, even getting the ~20 tickets for lowest set(to put into house) was a major pain. I couldn't even imagine what 300 games would be like...(100 hours....).
-
Curses vs. Regular Pray
Melee is supposed to be weak against mage, and it's the mages fault if they've trained their attack and strength skills. Turmoil is worse than piety against someone with 1 str and attack...(and there can be both maxed rangers and mages with those stats). Not to even get into the fact that 95 prayer is required to use turmoil...

Now What? Bless his grave or get a free 30+m? <FREE TRADE UPDATE>
breakin tha law Is it? You don't need to multilog to do it, and the two accounts really wouldn't be interacting with eachother, neither exchanging anything. If anything, i bet jagex would encourage such behavior(two p2p accounts per person means more money and less server load).
-
Now What? Bless his grave or get a free 30+m? <FREE TRADE UPDATE>
So you are against inheritance? You, somehow, make it seem like looting others graves is similar to stealing, when, in actuality, it's more like inheriting items. Once the persons items pop up on the floor, they don't have an owner. This thread might look positive in the way people think, but by and large, most people won't give a rats *** who died and will loot the items regardless. If you yourself go by blessing strangers graves you are only hurting yourself. There are very few situations where you'd actually interact with people around you when risking death, and because of that, the whole niceness theory goes out of the window.

Extremes in New Wildy
They do not give similar boosts. The boosts you get from Herblore are similar to the boosts you get from Smithing and Questing, NOT from Prayer. Prayer is the ability to USE the boosts, just like Attack is the ability to USE the boosts of an Extreme Attack Potion. Attack is represented in combat, so therefore there is no difference. How are the boosts not similar? they both require other combat skills to take advantage of the boost. Prayer is the requirement of using turmoil, thus it is reflected on combat level. All other requirements are redundant because of the prayer requirement. Herblore is the requirement for overloads, but it is in no way reflected on your combat level. Very similar, but one adds to combat level, the other doesn't. You can argue all you want, but evidently this is the way jagex sees things, and you are just a sore loser in these arguments. Anyone with half a brain can understand how extremes differ from other combat boosting levels/equipment, and that there is a legit reason to not allow them. As for normal potions, they have no requirements but money, and don't really kill the pking climate. By the way, as Soma's arguments are just running in circles and are getting more stupid by the minute, i take it upon me to walk away from the discussion. I can wholeheartedly say i'm proud that jagex made the right decision and banned them from the wilderness, and thank them for it.

Extremes in New Wildy
There has never been a need to show quest rewards in combat levels, just as there isn't a need to show dungeoneering prayers with dungeoneering level. An item/ability is balanced if it either adds risk or if it is reflected in your combat level. Both prayer and potions improve on existing combat levels, but because those levels are already accounted for, there is no need to account for them twice. Thus, any prayer levels adds to your combat level, while herblore levels don't, but they both give you similar boosts. There is a difference, thus there is a reason to ban one and not the other. Also, please someone point out the flaw in the argument. Every potential combat ability has to be reflected atleast once on your combat level, or add risk. Rigour needs 74 prayer, and prayer is reflected on combat level. Chaotics are risked in the wilderness. Curses require prayer levels, which are reflected on your combat level. Herblore is not reflected on your combat level and doesn't add risk. Yes, you need other levels to take advantage of that potential, but that is also true for prayer, which adds combat levels, and those other levels are already shown in your combat level.

Herblore isn't risked, is it? Rigour isnt risked is it? Herblore doesn't add to your combat level, does it?
