  1. Jagex won't be wasting time on such a useless thing :P I think they're happy with the people online counter already.
  2. Yeah, those two are no doubt the main reasons.
  3. Woah, cool! This sounds like one of those novel client login systems in my school, if you type * in the username box and click enter, a list of all users will appear :-$
  4. Have fun playing and loving right now, later you'll start hating them. But yeah, I agree. With people chasing around you, things are much more exciting and fun.
  5. You need to join the dark side... Attack and defense doesn't increase your avoid/accuracy significantly, the equipment statistics help more in my opinion. Strength, however, does have a great impact because it raises your max hit. So what I mean is, even if you get 99 in all combat stats, you'll still feel as weak as you do now.
  6. Yes SirHartlar, we are hoping and expecting for too much. The dudes next to me (crazy in masks) keep hoping and hoping that I one day will lend my Halloween Mask to them so that they can scam it. Many games is like this, you're hoping and hoping for this item to drop, even if the odds are very low. Just as twr_phr33k mentioned, too many people play Runescape for wealth instead of pure fun. That is why I've left playing the game, the game itself ain't fun in my opinion, it's just this wealth question that keeps us playing. However, that might not apply to you and others on TIF.
  7. You should somehow report that email to the real Jagex, not sure if the real Jagex can do anything against it though.
  8. I would call it an inaccurate statement to say that you were "one of the first person" to use the ranged/2h combo. That combo must've existed quite soon when after the release of RS2, and the real release of RS2 wasn't until 2004, which ain't a LONG time ago. No one knows how much it was used back in the days, if only 100 people used it right after the release of RS2 it would've been very unknown. Asking britain or tribal won't do anything, they don't have tapes of Runescape and thus they cannot confirm your statement. I'm not accusing you of being a lier, just commenting on your statement. Other than that, you've got nice kills, although many others have achieved them too such as Toast. Who cares about drop-trading... almost every pure drop-trades. This blogscape is for checking out the progress of his character, not rule breaking.
  9. I had no Internet at home before autumn 2005, so the events before then I've no doubt missed. You don't go on the internet during big holidays if you aren't connected at home. And after 2005, the holiday drops were too ugly, and getting them sounded like a pain. That is why I don't own any untradable holiday items.
  10. I don't think it all has to do with not having time. My opinion is that many players send useless customer support queries, those that are silly, and already answered by the Knowledge Base. Because I'm a moderator, some people confuse me of being an "admin" or staff. They tell me things like: "What would you do when a player constantly harasses another?" And I reply straightly with: "I would report them, just like you should" Then he says: "But I did, I sent 2 mails to Jagex about the player, but I never got a reply!" I have no idea about what kind of mails Jagex receives, but from my guess and looking at how many certain players roll, I'm sure Jagex receives a lot of rubbish mail. That is surely tiring for Jagex, to be reading mails where people write "I am lost!! Can u help me?!" and other banning related issues. So in the end, they're solving the problem by creating automated responses for the most main concerns.
  11. It's a reasonable price if you look at what membership offers you. It is not a reasonable price if you take into consideration what kind of problems P2P will cause, such as excessive addiction. That is why I never chose to member, but on the other hand, it weakens my opinions.

I'm a 100% F2P, but I'm lucky enough to own a Red Mask and a fortune of money. There are cheap trimmed armour though, look out for those. Now that your question is answered, a moderator should lock this topic. Post in the HELP & ADVICE forum next time.
  13. No, it's not Chinese no-lifers for the win, it's for the living. They are doing this to economically support themselves. Not everyone lives with the same standards that you and me do, and selling Runescape gold for real life money is a good job and deal for them. Remember, the man-power in Asia compared to Europe or the US is huge. Basically they're taking advantage of this difference, because the majority of people that buy RS money are from the industrial countries.

No there ain't, except for Halloween Masks combined with god armour which costs a whole fortune. Sorry dude, you're going to have to survive f2p wearing old fashioned costumes.
  15. 80 Strength, but I don't skill anymore.
  16. Apart from the scamming and hacking (which is your own fault), all the other things that you said I agree with. I especially agree with the boring part, and that the reason people play is because they "want to be the best". It's a part of all MMORPGs, that's mainly the thing that keeps you addicted for a game like Runescape. That's just my view, so feel free to have your own view. Not playing Runescape feels good, you've got a lot of spare time to spend. Good luck with whatever you're doing in the future.
  17. It would be way too embarrasing to have Runescape posters or ringtones, some people might and will beat you up because you're a Runescape freaaaak! Some people might want a large Jagex Shop though, I understand them.
  18. Yeah it's too strict. Personally I don't see why they have this rule, when they've already got loads of these random events to counter AFKers and autoers. Maybe that's just the reason, Jagex doesn't want complaints about a guy losing this and that due to a random event because he decided not to log out when he took a dump. Two minutes would be better... but still, not everything can be perfect or as you want it to be.
  19. Well you have to take into account what weapon you're using too. Almost all weapons (F2P) are strong in Slash. R2H, Rune Scimitar, Rune B Axe for instance - they all have higher slash values than the other two styles. For monsters, maybe you could do long tests to figure out their weakness style.
  20. I maybe would've membered last year if Jagex accepted Visa Electrons for players in Sweden. I'm under 18, so I don't have to pay anything at all for my Visa Electron. I think Jagex needs to open up more billing options.
  21. It doesn't matter if we bump this thread, as long as we post relevant things and this thread isn't outdated. I used to be very nervous when in the wilderness, but later and as I became more experienced with it all I'm not nervous anymore. I often talk to others in the wilderness, and chatting on MSN is what I usually do too while in the wilderness, sometimes even up to level 40.
  22. I have NONE of these untradables. Just feels very pointless to have those items, they don't look very good either. But I guess my f2p status cuts down halfof them already.
  23. Those are called autobeggars, put them on ignore list. You can't quiet them, the amount they beg for are adapted after your attitude, which varies all the time.
  24. For someone new to Runescape, I would say that it becomes pointless when you reach the monk on tutorial island. I really don't see how Jagex can attract new players with such a slow and boring start. If you're into the game already I would say 60 in all stats.
