  1. Went down to the LRC and mined some gold. Got about 7.5k gold ore out of it from 81.5, and wasn't too slow with the BA horn (was getting like 110k xp/h). Pretty fun, too ;) My next goal might be 99 construction as soon as I have the 85m cash freed up in my bank. I'll need to do some more SC too.
  2. Well you should be able to determine it well enough using 99, 118, and 125 attack. Same goes for 99, 118, 125 defence. And yeah I believe that accuracy works on a dice roll type system. We just need to determine how the number of faces of the attack and defence dice are calculated.
  3. You're better off trading red for cash + risings than trying to get junk.
  4. No. Rapier is 94 stab, 78 slash, 101 str Whip is 82 slash 82 str Whip is better then rapier for slash a tiny bit. I'd say rapier > whip at everything if you are fighting a low def monster, because you can then stab OR slash it with a higher average hit compared to whip Unless fighting something that has a large difference between their stab and slash, whip or rapier would be better depending on their weakness. The defence of a monster at which 4 accuracy would be better than 19 strength... I don't even know, probably you'd be hitting like 1% of the time or less?
  5. Rapier has a slash attack too that exceeds whip's, so it will be better than whip 100% of the time.
  6. Ye san u sure do own. img IMO, D'eering took away some of the "awesomeness" of this picture, but meh, 2k total is nice. Yeah, I recently got 2200 total thanks in part to 46 dungeoneering levels and I was like, "meh, cba to screencap this".
  7. No, you only need to make about 600k/hour for red chins to be better. And you need to make about 500k an hour for grey chins to be better than cannoning/knifing, so really except for a few people who make between those values, reds are the best.
  8. Yeah you'll be paying a little bit more, but it speeds up slayer so much. You'll end up getting more drops per hour, so the cost is very small if it exists at all.
  9. You'll want more than a duo if you want anything Promethium over 2 bars. I duoed with a friend and we had to alch like EVERYTHING (took like an hour lol) to get the 408k to make a spear. If you just want a promethium rapier then you can get 204k for that easily.
  10. Last night I was considering running tests at the Duel Arena to try and derive this. To my knowledge there is no formula.
  11. Whenever you edit this blog, you can change the post date, bringing it to the top.
  12. Just bring a prayer potion. You won't even use a full pot before your BOB is full of herbs.
  13. Yes they are in Pollnivneach well.
  14. Usually what players talk about are abyssal demons. Under ideal conditions you can get around 150 kills/hour at abyssal demons, which comes to about 900-950k profit/hour. Another option is cannoning aberrant spectres which is about 1.1m/hour with a pack yak. However dragons are still much better.
  15. Posting on Runescape Official Forums is the best way to trade discontinueds. You will be lucky to get a purple partyhat with that, I'm afraid. Unless you have even more cash to purchase the other player's junk (read: unsellable in the GE), you will not get a partyhat.
  16. Chinning is the only efficient way to train ranging. EDIT: or cannoning slayer task, but that's not really training ranged.
  17. Ah yes you are correct, my mistake. However, the point still holds that the increase in accuracy of the longsword is small compared to the existing accuracy bonus. Say you were to take 10,000 damage at a boss. Using an elysian, this would be cut down to 8250 damage. Using saradomin brews, you would need 55.55 doses to heal this damage, which takes 13.88 inventory spaces. 10,000 damage with divine would be cut down to 7,000 damage, and would consume 150 prayer points. 7000 damage, using saradomin brews would require 47.14 doses, which takes 11.79 spaces. 150 prayer points takes 4.84 doses of prayer potion, which takes 1.21 spaces of inventory. In total Divine would require 13 inventory spaces vs. Elysian's 13.88. So divine takes less space.
  18. Yes. In the main world, shortswords hit every 1.8 and longswords hit every 2.4 seconds, so likewise in the dungeon.
  19. Rapier hits 1.8 seconds, longsword hits 2.4 seconds.
  20. There's no way that can be right (lol). Using standard gear (neitiznot, fire cape, fury, defender, barrows gloves, dragon boots, berserker (i): The average hit of the rapier is 289.9 The average hit of the longsword is 316 The attack delay of the rapier is 1.8 seconds The attack delay of the longsword is 2.4 seconds Therefore, in one hour, assuming 100% accuracy for both, The rapier should hit 580k damage The longsword should hit 474k damage Now, let's assume the rapier hits 50% of the time. The rapier would deal 290k damage. For the longsword to hit 290k damage, it would need to hit 61% of the time. That means you'd need to get a 22% increase in accuracy from a 21% boost in your weapon attack bonus. That's absurd even by itself (if you already hit 50% or more), but when you also consider that you have 125/99 attack and turmoil it's 100% impossible. Turns out with the accuracy boosting gear, potions, and prayers, the longsword should never be this much more accurate than the rapier.
  21. Ersatz is a borrowed word and can be found in English dictionaries. It means like an inferior substitute or something like that.
  22. SC needles aren't actually worth using for crafting.
  23. Whip + Defender (or whip + Divine/other for solo/duo(maybe)) is better at Bandos, Zamorak, and Saradomin. The only place you should ever use a godsword is tormented demons and PvP.
  24. Claws are better than SGS or EE when meleeing.
