  1. When I saw it you just had the one hint for it and I kinda didn't get it  but the anvils and the caveness of it made me think it was Keldagrim, had to wiki it to make sure it was called the Blast Furnace though, couldn't remember! Jagex seriously need to give that city more incentive to use.
  2. It's about time we got a proper thread started for twitter updates! More on topic - No complete clue what the latest twitter is hinting towards, errr maybe they've finally created a dungeon (or similar) for a load of monsters that they've been creating but wouldn't suit other places (like those lizard men or whatever it is they hinted at years and years ago)... ...Or Mobilising Armies!
  3. Kudo's Island? Ahh I honestly have no clue!
  4. I reckon it's for MA, maybe it's in a members area but is also a mini-game accessible to f2p so a teleport would be required in order for them to reach it?
  5. I really like the updates today, nothing to complain about, new icons are good, nice to see Herblore get an update, perhaps not fantastic, but better than nothing. Resting is great and the restore rate + time it takes for energy to run out is great!
  6. Congratz! How many kills roughly? I'm doing exactly the same and i'm at about 1.1k kills. It would of been around about 4k kills, non-stop just camping in the same spot. But I also did kill 3000 of them here and there over the years.
  7. Today is officially the greatest day in Runescape for me. I have finally completed a goal that I've had for years I got butterflies in my stomach (or it could be the stomach bug I have) when I saw this: [hide=Large image of joy!][/hide] And of course to celebrate I had to take some more pictures: And with that, I can semi-retire :
  8. You are quite off actually. :P What they said is since the graphics team updated monsters to have different looks and added new kinds of an allready existing monster, they now drop champion scrolls aswell. For example, only some skeletons dropped the skeleton scroll before. Now all kinds of skeletons drop the skeleton scroll. Aye but what exactly is the point in the champion scrolls as they are so rare to obtain? Until jagex changes the drop rate to be a bit more generous it's a silly thing. However as you pointed out Den all kinds of different monsters now drop them.... like fire giants will drop the giant scroll etc. and all skeletons drop the skeleton one. With this year being an update year and now Jagex has actually gone back and checked to see what monsters are dropping challenge scrolls perhaps an overhaul is coming along. And thanks to seeing a bunch of people getting champion scrolls lately I've now set up camp with some Hill Giants and I'm going to be killing them for the next 10 days maybe i'll get lucky and get a scroll before my membership expires!
  9. Mod Emilee has made it a bit clearer what has actually happened with the update: Hi all, If you look here, youll see 10 types of creatures that you can get a challenge scroll from. For example, there are giants on this list. This means that any other variant of giant has the possibility of dropping a challenge scroll. The change this week was to make sure that the same types of creatures all tied in to this system as it was quite old and many new variants have been added by the Graphics Team. RSOF QFC - 15-16-177-58914364 So I do believe monsters like Fire Giants now drop the Challenge scroll for Giants.
  10. [/hide] Ok, I'm jealous. Think i'll be spending the last days of my membership camping for a champ scroll.
  11. Yes, they can be destroyed and regained from the Penguin Outpost too.
  12. Wow :P Where do you kill the skellys for those? It was a bug after update, killing skellys at barrows every kill = scroll, to bad it's fixed now. Darn, wish I had the opportunity tbh. :( Been years of hunting and I still haven't got a single challenge scroll, so much effort just to unlock one bleeding song!
  13. Must admit I doubt it now, if it was more involved with the sea slugs it wouldn't be the first quest in the series. But perhaps further quests could link them up, anyway, I'm starting the quest now. Glad I can do this before my membership expires! \
  14. Sea slug and Penguin quest lines are going to get merged? :-# :ohnoes: Looking forward to getting started on this quest.
  15. Have you been spying on penguins recently? No? Well, theyve been spying on you, and theyre about to reveal their dastardly plot... Larry the zookeeper has made the mistake of going on vacation, and now hes in a bit of a picklewell, more like a straitjacket than a pickle! Apparently, he spotted a giant penguin near Witchaven, and now he suspects that the other penguins may be up to something. The problem is that his superiors at the zoo dont believe him. Speak to Larry to find out what the penguins have been up to, and help him stop them before they take over the world! It wont be easy to discover what the penguins are plotting, however. Youll have to travel back to the iceberg from the Cold War quest, and don your penguin suit, to begin your espionage. Creative thinking will be needed if youre going to get any information from the penguins, but you will find friends on the iceberg to help you: Ping and Pong will be glad to see you, and you can help them finish their new song. After you've finished the Hunt for Red Raktuber, you'll still be able to put your keen Hunting skills to the test. A new area will be available near the Iceberg, where youll be able to track down new penguin recruits. You may also find an unusual kind of spy moving around RuneScape, so keep your eyes 'well' peeled! Ive had a great time developing The Hunt for Red Raktuber, and I hope all you penguin fans out there enjoy it as much as I have. Mod Nancy RuneScape Content Developer Summary: Where to start The Hunt for Red Raktuber: Speak to Larry at the Ardougne Zoo, near the penguin enclosure. Requirements to start The Hunt for Red Raktuber: Thieving 38 Construction 45 Hunter 45 Must have completed Sea Slug and Cold War In Other News We've been collating your feedback on the spam filter, and have added several of the messages you suggested to this recent feature. These Developers Blogs are the new home for the Developer Diaries that weve been releasing every week over the last few months. 16. He looks so menacing until you see his puny feet
  17. I hope Jagex takes a break from releasing shields! Maybe it'll drop some sort of combo-staff or a magic equivalent to the slayer mask.
  18. It's also good to know that we finally have an answer to people who debated before that Vampyres = Mahjarrat (was about a year ago!). The Vampyres are an older race, not descendants or anything else, just simply 'allies'.
  19. Wonder if Mobilising Armies is potentially linked to the new 'skill'. I mean, it could probably work as a separate game from what little we know of it. Could explain why it's taking forever to appear. I look forward to the next part for extra runescape questions :) these have been a good read so far!
  20. i loved todays update so much...oh wait where is it I ment this weeks update... jeese don't be so picky. And yes, there IS going to be a game update this week. Yeah, we are getting more PvP Worlds at the very least, they are coming this week with whatever update that Jagex have planned. :D
  21. I'm taking a bit of a break from it, only coming on to check updates. Runecrafting is the only thing I want to do lately but I can't be bothered with it either
  22. Someone on the RSOF thinks it could be the dungeon maps update.
  23. We definitely need some sort of topic that's dedicated to discussing the latest Jagex twitter updates :) I think it's going to have some sort of connection to summoning. Although that's about all I can guess for now.
