  1. I could use fullscreen HD or windowed standard with no difference in lag. I personally use a mixture with windowed HD. I can't seem to adjust to the fullscreen mode. Actually, it may just be that I don't want to take time to attempt to adjust.
  2. It could possibly fall but it doesn't seem likely. We may not even see much of a price drop this year because 90% of players are aware of the dump, and there has been a lot of easy money coming into the game. So now the merchants have extra money, and they're aware of the potential drop. This means most would likely hop on items as soon as they start to fall, prematurely killing any drop. Although, there is the possibility of some larger items falling in price such as Godwars items & dragon claws. Just the same this could potentially not occur. If you use your guthans often, then you should have no problem in keeping it as it is a valuable piece of equipment to you, and would likely save you the same if not more during the time keeping it than you would selling it and waiting for prices to adjust.
  3. Lol. Yeah, I've become quite the sniper with the grease gun lately. Especially since every peice of equipment needs multiple shots daily.
  4. The Mages Book really isn't worth the price for the bonus it gives. You'll be better off with a rune defender as mentioned. I'd either get the "coinball" rolling as you say or spend it on a skill/item. What do you like to do in Runescape? That would give me a better idea of what to suggest you spend your wealth on. :
  5. I also approve of Fire Giants. I received some fast experience d-hally'ing these from 97-99 strength. Generally you'll find that Armoured Zombies are your best option (provided you have the appropriate stats to deal with them).
  6. Oh, I forgot about those. Yeah, they are a tad faster once you can create them. Thanks.
  7. That's what I've been told. I bought 8 BGS yesterday because I believed that he attacked regardless, but it seems with a non-combat healing familar this would not occur. I managed to sell them each 300k above med before everyone else caught onto this, so no harm done. :
  8. I believe the most cost/time effective method would be Oak Larders in your kitchen. This would take 6913 Oak Larders at 480xp each without SC Hammers, and 3457 Oak Larders using SC Hammers. it takes 8 oak planks per larder (27656 planks), so that would be an approximate cost of 14,436,432gp, given todays current Oak Plank medium price of 522gp. As the previous poster said, you will need 66 SC Hammers in order to complete your goal. This would mean that you must obtain 1320 SC points in order to purchase all of these hammers. The skilling SC clans such as "SC Claymates" and "Fast Sc" will give you the most points per hour. With them you simply join their clan chat, go to the clan section of SC and only skill during the mini-games. They will ask you to wield a bow without arrows in your quiver, and nothing else. Then you simply collect clay as fast as you can and process it into stackable materials such as runes, arrows, and summoning scrolls. You will then deposit these at home base before the game comes to an end in order to obtain the most points you can per game. You will find that it's quite easy to score 20k+ per game, which will in turn give you 20+ points per game. This means you'll generally gain one tool per game. The games range from 12-15 minutes on average vs 20 minutes for a combat SC game. This would mean it would take you roughly 17 hours of SC in order to obtain your goal if you received 20 points per 15 minute game. I myself prefer the combat games, but I simply play for fun. Best of luck with 90 construction. :
  9. Sell them and train a skill that you enjoy. If you're going to use chinchompas for range training (as stupid as I think it is), then be sure to get at least 90 range before doing this. At least then it won't be as much of a waste. Personally I'd train range avansies and make another 40m+. Then spend the cash on something else enjoyable.
  10. You click the spell once and it automatically strings multiple amulets, provided you're holding the required runes. You might find that it stops at times in between the inventory. I'm not sure if it still occurs, but it did when I used this training method. Gold amulets are the most popular to string. Once strung you can resell them to some guy ater a quest. Might be Summer End quest. he buys them for the minimum GE price, and I believe the minimum=medium price at the moment. I usually sell mine to friends and they trade them off to the NPC. I believe the xp/hr was around 150k. Enjoy the lack of clicking. :

Get someone with 60 to try it there. It might be interesting to see the result. :
  12. It's not really any precautions. They attack a monster and can't be auto-logged during combat.
  13. Likely because when a man feels physical pain it's usually dull and prolonged. When a woman does it's excessive and quick. This increase in pain in such a short time period might be a partial reason. I learned young in life (5 or so) that tears did nothing to fix the problem, aside from give me a stuffed up nose and make me sick. I can remember the last time I cried. I was climbing a tree and fell, managed to put a branch right through my bottom lip, leave a scar above my eye, and crack my head open. I've had some painful situations since, but ever since I decided that crying wasn't worthwhile I haven't even felt the slightest urge to. I suppose over 14 years my pain threshold might be a bit better than when I was 5.
  14. If you do learn to use a bow, you'll find it very satisfying when you hit your target. Even more-so than a gun. \
  15. We own a variety of shotguns, rifles, and a couple pellet guns. It's really fun once you get used to a particular gun and are able to make those impressive shots. It's just as fun with a bow, but requires a bit more skill. Not sure if I can expand on thsi much as we're not to include hunting. I do enjoy target challenges though. Usually a couple of friends and myself will get together and have a good time, or just me, my brother, and my dad. When I was 12 there was also a hunters safety course. I remember taking that with all my friends. We shot off a variety of rifles and a couple shotguns that day. I remember saving my target from the .22 challenge, as I did so well on it for my first time shooting one (just had pellet guns before that). The shotgun was fun to see everyone try, as we were young and most of us not used to the kick it could give. After seeing a couple kids nearly fall on their [wagon], I was prepared for my shot. I remember, we were just shooting at some cardboard up against a bush. We then wondered where the dog was (course was in some guys yard). After he called for it it came running out from behind the cardboard. Luckily, it wasn't there during any of the shots.
  16. Basically people risk a ban for a little bit of mage exp... Does falling asleep behind the keyboard count as being Afk? I would be damn well pissed if i got banned because i suffer from narcolepsy. eCFIM;dghhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry, fell asleep for a second there. Anyway you get the point? What if you get bored to the point of falling alseep while doing this? You either hope that you weren't near any kids who would report you, or plan to simply do this in an area with less traffic. I really don't see why those breaking the rules with this do it in such an open area.

I get between 70-100k experience per hour using a full SC mage set (minus the staff). I only firebolt the irons though, as I believe their magic defence is quite a bit lower than steel dragons. Maybe that's what makes the difference. Also, I've made around 2M profit so far on 30k casts, just to make you aware of my gains. I definitely suggest using SC armour though, as it cuts the costs in half, meaning more potential to profit. I might add this to my "short list" aswell as soon as i have a stable and reliable internet connection. If i may ask, what does your profit mainly consist of? Stackable drops? Alch? Dragon Bones? Alchable runite and dragon drops. I can't seem to get a visage, but I'm hoping for one within the next 30k casts.

  19. Correct. You also don't get logged out while in combat. This little method of training is why mind runes sell for their maximum price now, whereas previously they wouldn't sell for minimum. Most people doing it are AFK, but some aren't as it isn't very expensive training, and is actually decent for those with poor internet connections. The smart ones of the bunch actually fire strike their targets, but the ones who are a little bit slow use wind strike. You gain well over 35k experience per night with fire strike. It's over 10k experience per hour without a doubt, so that's at least 70-90k/night. It is against the rules if you are AFK though. Impossible to tell if someone is, as people can play with chat off/friends though. They also might just not want to talk to you. It really doesn't do anything to me except make my mind/fire runes sell on the GE, so I leave them be.
  20. Corrupt will, but I don't believe non-corrupt degrades unless it's wielded.
  21. Use a shortbow on F2P and a crossbow once you reach runite on P2P. With the rune x-bow you'll want to get 55 slayer as soon as you can in order to use broad bolts for your training. You'll find they are worth the effort. If you are training up to 61 range on P2P, then use iron knives or steel darts on a monster with low defence. You'll find this is great experience versus the shortbow.
  22. I'd suggest SC clay armour over dragonhide, unless your magic level is extremely low. It has the defensive properties of runite, and only weighs 2kg a piece. Oddly, I'm the only person that I ever see wearing it while ZMI running. -.-
  23. They will drop with either a moneysink, high priced items, or some other reason to sell them. I personally believe it'll end up like 3rd age. Street will be the only way to buy them, meaning no GE trades, meaning no price changes. The merchants investing in them (which is the majority of phat owners) will sell (most likely the majority holder first), and then they'll flop like 3rd age did. After a short time they will be bought up again, just as 3rd age is being bought up slowly now.
  24. Items lost value when sold as they were in many cases sold below medium GE value. The addition of statues created items that would never lose face value. Also, these statues had/have extremely high drop rates. Actually, Bounty worlds alone had high drop rates, but the statue rates were/are insanely high. It was easy to make over 1M/hr tricking after the addition of statues. Prior to that tricking seemed like a coin toss and you were lucky to make 500k/hr (if even that). Sure, you could get lucky with a DFH or DFS but they at least had very low drop rates in comparison.
  25. Ranarrs - Almost worth the same as Snapdragons, and I imagine the disease rate is lower. Oranges - I have 200/500 saplings left from over a year ago.. switching to Palm after. Oaks - Also have 200/500 saplings left from over a year ago.. switching to Yews after. Marigold - I believe they are worth more than Limpwurts, and have a lower disease rate. Calquat - Not too expensive and a nice chunk of experience. Poison Ivy - Nice experience, decent worth, and can't become diseased. Cactus - I just plant a new one when I grab more spines on a daily basis. I'm just getting back into farming as well after a break from it that lasted over a year. Awesome signature.
