  1. I'm not much of a quester (201qp) but I would suggest looking on the Knowledge Base on the Runescape Website. There you can find a list of which quests give experience to which skills. You could then calculate the quests that you need to complete for prayer experience without going over the prayer goal you've set.
  2. Oh, are you a pure in training? I read something else in another Help & Advice topic which I replied to. I just wanted to advise you to gain prayer experience from quests rather than burying bones (if you are a pure). It just prevents being caught in teh future, needing a quest that you can't complete because it will ruin your prayer goal. If not, stick with the advice listed above.
  3. The Burthope tasks are generally weak monsters with horribly low hitpoints, meaning less experience per task. Although, if you are finding the Canifis tasks to be too difficult to make them worthwhile, then just stick with Burthope. If only the odd Canifis task is too difficult, then simply Burthope it and continue using Canifis once the new task is completed. Also, I suggest raising prayer with quests only. I know you didn't ask, but you meantioned wanting 31.

Yes I've been doing that and actually just found out they finally did what I always said would be a better update than all others combined; the route-finding update. I really hope it works and I'm now off to pay for my membership. edit: apparently there's also a d plate these days. It's also not worth purchasing if armour stats matter to you. Just to warn you. : Dragon claws also came out with the platebody. They're only useful for the special attack.
  5. Use sacred clay armour. It has the defensive properties of runite and only weighs 2kg a piece. You will also get the bonus experience at the start (don't bother recharging it though). Stay away from Granite as it is basically runite/sc armour with a larger price tag and more weight. I can't see your stats due to the filter on this computer, but use a dragon scimitar until you can use an abyssal whip, then just stick with that. Training ranged is also quite viable, but you might want a strong melee base first off. Magic is really useful for teleports, but not a whole lot passed that.
  6. You don't really have to worry about hitpoints experience when it comes to magic. It's among the slowest hitpoint training method around (unless you spend a ton). Simply train one of your other combat stats past the experience for 99 in order to gain any lost hitpoints experience.
  7. If you want drops more than experience also checkout Moss & Ice Giants.
  8. I'd suggest herb runs and green dragon killing for maximum gains. Doesn't get much more simple and reliable than that. You can also throw money into MTK as others have suggested. I personally have no experience with it.
  9. Just leave it at 12 for now. You'll be further putting yourself at a disadvantage if you raise it before your offensive stats are of a decent level. Realize that these prayer levels increase your combat level, causing you to fight higher level pkers who may not have messed up on prayer. You've likely gained 1 or 2 combat levels from 12 prayer. Take this in stride and keep training your other stats, leaving prayer at 12 for now. Once you are a high enough level to make use of prayer, then train it.
  10. I'd support Jagex if more of their mini-games were actually fun. I'll stick with my combat Stealing Creation games. They might not be fixed, but I don't remember losing a game in the past 6 months. I wish Jagex would harp to manipulation clans rather than mini-game clans. They have a much more negative impact on those who don't take part in such activities.
  11. 2-4 weeks
  12. Further confirming that they do stack.
  13. Actually each piece gives roughly 20k bonus experience.
  14. I was flipping 3A vams a couple weeks ago but I gave up when I could no longer buy for min. I'm not planning to try to flip 3A again until the buying spree is over. I'm buying Santas now -- they look underpriced to me compared to other small rares, and I'm thinking some of these end of summer liquidaters might put some of their money into a hat for the holidays. A wise choice indeed. I am considering the same. Although, I lost 50M+ on my rare stockpile when staking was removed, so I'm still a bit weary when it comes to them. -.-
  15. The items I had to sell were all resources/runes/bolts/arrows from monster hunting. I don't have them for their usefulness, I have them because I'm a packrat. Now that they've generally peaked in price I'll be selling them to make as much as I can off of them. I'll buy a couple godswords after the potential price drop. Not because I will make use of them, but because friends will. I'll sell them without a second thought if I become weary about their price.
  16. Well, Farming, Construction, Herblore, Prayer and Summoning are generally your only stats that will use up the cash. Firemaking could too, but it's pretty useless so I would just ignore it. If you like monster hunting or PvP then that cash would help you with some nice armour & weapons, but I would suggest waiting on buying them. They may drop in price with the back to school phase.
  17. Hah! I actually have the C&C soundtrack from back when I bought that game. It has some good songs. I'm listening to: I'm a Window - Matthew Good
  18. They actually stand to potentially rise, as a lot of people quitting for the school year may invest in one and hope to turn a profit within the next 9 months. :
  19. Yep, go with the fire runes and duelling rings, unless you want to attempt ZMI runecrafting. It would be the greatest experience per hour, but I'm not sure what your losses would be compared to the losses with fire runes. You would also need Ouriana teleport on the Lunar spells for it to be worth your while (ZMI).
  20. Thank you very much. More replies are still appreciated.
  21. - Work - Parties (especially at the beach where I work) - Runescape - Basketball - Exercise Regime - 4x4'ing - Babying my Truck - Catching Bears That's generally what my summer consists of. I could get more specific, but then we'd have quite the list. Hope everyone else is having a great summer.
  22. I am curious to get back into farming after a 1 year+ break. I keep reading that snapdragon/yew/calquat/palm break even. I am wondering if this is with one run of snapdragons per day, or with multiple runs throughout the day. Secondly, I would like to know if an increased farming level helps to prevent a plant from becoming diseased and dying. Is there no difference in death rates of a crop from 1 to 99 farming? I would appreciate either a reference to a J-mod stating this or multiple statements from avid farmers (preferrably herb farmers). Thanks in advance. Your replies are much appreciated. :
  23. [hide=] lol your kidding right? there is no difference if your training the combat skill seperately or all at once. you DONT save time, no you even waste it... Its PROVEN that whip + defender/whip + dfs/whip + wooden-shield IS better than SS, thats because ss has the same stats and speeds like whip. I know people who have alot of spare money prefer it because its sooo fancy and expensive.. the xp lost is a rumor, i dont think its true. And i cant understand those peoples training def 99, with att/str 70, it WILL take longer then training on controlled.. (at least go for 90+ man) The only reason why most of the scapers prefer training their combat levels seperately is because their greedy for shiny levels and 99s, i can understand this though, who doesnt want it, but training seperately is NOT faster. [/hide] So you don't believe that if you were powertraining on a monster that rarely if at all damaged you, that having your attack & strength higher than your defence would not be a faster method of experience? You could be increasing your accuracy and strength allowing for more experience per hour. You could then move to defence after and be gaining faster experience than you would have if your stats were equal on controlled. I don't think it's too complicated, but depends on what the OP means by "training".
  24. If you have an expensive item that you could lend out for large amounts per hour, such as a godsword or partyhat then mithril platebodies might be the way to go. I'm unsure of the gp/xp for bolts vs arrowtips at the moment, but when I was training smithing arrowtips was actually a break-even method. The SC hammers last for 32k bonus experience (64k total), and are definitely beneficial when it comes to training smithing. I'm unsure of the experience per hour, but you could find that out quite simply by smithing for 10-15 minutes and multiplying accordingly. You may or may not want to wait for a potential price drop with everyone heading back to school. I would personally wait, but it's your call. Just figured I'd make you aware of a potential loss of cash.
  25. Sacred clay would be best for cutting costs. You just need to realize that you will need to play Stealing Creation games for the points. Although, you would need to play Pest Control for void just the same. If you play the skilling only SC games you will notice that they are about 12-15 minutes long versus the 20 minute combat games on normal worlds. I prefer the combat games, but I'm not playing for the most pts/hr, as you are. You could check the RSOF for some listing on skilling Stealing Creation clans. "Sc Claymates" comes to mind. I believe playing SC will be more beneficial than void, but that is merely based on opinion. It would depend if you are willing to throw away extra cash, whether or not you already have void or SC points, and how much experience you are hoping to gain.
