Veracs is overall much more useful. the ONLY situation where dharoks is better would be in PVP, but from what I've seen a dharok either wins or loses entirely based off of their luck in the last 2-3 hits in the fight, and I personally don't like basing so much on luck. In PVP veracs is good for steady hits, but not for koing anybody in most cases. At the duel arena or fightpits/clan wars and such veracs is the BEST weapon for consistant kills in my opinion, special attack based things can only get a quick kill every oncein a while, but veracs effect is always available. Neither set is possible to use in castle wars because the helmet spot is occupied. Veracs helm and skirt are in most cases the best use of their respective inventory slots. They are the best for every gwd room(except neitz is better at bandos and arma skirt at arma). They're also the best in most other boss killing situations such as DKs, tormented demons, etc... Veracs skirt is also used quite often for slayer. I used to use the brassard and skirt before I got bandos. So overall, veracs is the second best barrows set in my opinion after guthans(which is pretty much useless at my summoning level, but it's got a special place in my heart )

You should watch some youtube videos to get the best picture of how to lure and what not. They removed the weapon switching trick to take down the shield faster a few days ago, so that's out, by the way.

You coud get by fine with two people at even 80 melee stats and 80ish range on an average spawn(1-1.5k pop) world. 70 Prayer is a must, in my opinion. You can technically mage at any level, because there's really no need to rush during kills, but faster kills are of couse better and 80+mage/defense would be for the best.

The few things that come close or are profitable in GE value are usually sellable...I'd just spam out some mith plates until 88 if I was you.

You really would fare well at the GWD at all. You should get defense up to 80ish and summoning up to 52 at least and then go armadyling. You could also just camp at aviansies with the prayer method, your defense is too low to tank(forgot to look at your prayer), but I'd ratehr go to arma, because aviansies are boring as hell, at least to me. There is no *good* way to make money without risking anything in runescape.

i have all this good gear for castle wars but i need to pick up the flag faster than other people. i've been in this situation like 10 times today. If ips dont work then i'll just use a dspear to push people away :mrgreen: . Again, your gear is pathetically horrible and inefficient, not to be mean, it just irritates me when people boast inefficiently. Similar to people who use unicorns at abby demons(not ranging/in void). Meleeing in anti-melee gear is counter productive and stupid. if you only bought arma to show off at c wars, sell it and get bandos. I am pretty sure he mentioned that because it has a very high mage defence, and considering he is talking about the flag, he wants the mage defence to be safe. Like I said before, if you want mage defense while meleeing, use karils. Arma is only 10 more mage defense than karils, and if he wants defense, a dfs would make up that lost 10 defense while boosting melee by a bit, using a whip of course. [/hide] Isn't he capturing the flag? So he is running not meleeing? Which makes the zgs irrelevant, does it not? I honestly don't play castle wars that much, but expecting to be in control of the flag at all times with no need to attack would rule out scoring and if he just runs around with the enemy flag after aquiring it his team will never score, which I doubt that they would like. I've ehard the "flag holding" technique mentioend before, but again, assumign that you'll be in control of the flag at ALL times with no need t attack seems a bit presumptious.

This game is a great incentive to go skilling, which is why I trained mining for the first time in like 4 years and boosted crafting up a bit.

I don't know about the technical bits, but I do know that it's foolish to use any sort of melee weapon in armadyl armor. The full set comes to -15 accuracy if I remember right, get karils if you want magic defense, or bandos if you want to show off while meleeing.

Well the second question isn't really off topic, it's actually exactly what this topic was made to ask.

Ignore the people telling you not to get it, I'd advise that you just camp at bandos with a borrowed ags(look for a 125+ ags team). Personally arma is more fun, but supplies cost too much when you don't have a lot of startup money. After you have the cash to get an arma plate and 69 summoning, try arma. Bandos really is better money if you can get past the idiocy that surrounds it, and if you don't get a good drop at bandos, it's a much smaller loss than at arma. Also, most good teams at arma preferr 69+ summoning. EDIT: Also, try fiends as opposed to charms for shards, it's harder before 69 summoning, but you still might make a slight profit as opposed to losing millions at lobsters.

Now now, let's not speak in absolutes. Bandos has the highest range dxefense in the game so it is best for soloing, which he obviously won't be doing at his level, but just making a point. Void melee is almost NEVER efficient to use anywhere when you are taking damage. The defense drop from barrows to bandos is no where near as significant as the drop from bandos to void. I personally use bandos top/bottom on every normal melee task and never have to bank(except to stash bones from wyverns). However, I have a sgs and ponies to make up the difference... I agree with his advice overall, just pointing out a few things, and they're called "bunys."

I was told that it was about 60k per hammer, and I went from 69ish to whatever level i have now based on that, and it was accurate, so I'd just go with 60k/hammer. Divide the xp that you need by 60k to get the number of hammers that you need.

Still, you can "use" the logs on the pyrelord but it doesn't allow you to create fires above your level...I don't see a difference. The level boost doesn't come from using the logs on the pyrelord, you actually get it at all times while the pyrelord is alive, I believe.

Well then yes, you're one of the very few people who actually see those as week. i'm sure there are others though. lolz. But then again consider your stats...that kinda makes a huge difference tbh. But hey, when did draynor stat sigs become allowed? when i used mines instead of tip.it, it said it was too big. or is yours not the dynamic one that automatically updates? I've been using the same one since the most recent forum change, but I think i remember them updating them somehow a while back...

Am I the only one that sees these things as pathetically weak? I guess that I place more of my value in the *power* of a monster in its defense(these have abby demonish defense I believe), and there's no way that I could fight a black dragon without potions or prayer for any reasonable amount of time efficiently(I personally despise range, that';s not an option). A steel or iron could kill me in 3-4 hits if I stopped paying attention for a bit and prayer slipped off, but there's nothing really to fear about these wusses, their max is like what...20? I've only had 3 tasks there, but I'm not impressed...

Saws still have the limitation of only boosting your level while you're actually using the saw. You can't build any new rooms or buy monsters before the required level(or 3-6 prior with tea-stew).
