  1. you cant assist for quests or diaries... That's what i thought until I got assisted for the runecrafting part of the fally diary :o
  2. Fish is always the most profitable, and then flax and coal are second and they go back and forth. Coal was second best the last time that I checked.
  3. Yes, I'm pretty sure that I did, and that you only need it to start the quest.
  4. I keep... terrorbirds-general awesomeness bunyips-lazy healing ponies-healing geyser titans-glory charge/combat lava titans-mining boost turtles-best BOB for me kyatt-making pouches Graahks are good too I guess but I personally don't runecraft, and the lvl 79 titans until level 88. I buy granite lobsters whenever I fish.
  5. If you can afford something, and it positively influences you, regardless of how small that influence may be, why wouldn't you buy it? What's the use of having gold sitting around collecting dust? I understand that if you invest/flip/whatever the hell you do, the excess money would be beneficial, but I've noticed that most people who do those things easily have enough to own whatever they want as well as continue accumulating wealth at a reasonable(slower) rate. The joy of run on sentences...
  6. Addy plates actually do sell on the GE if I remember correctly, so you might not have to alch them.
  7. So oaks aren't the most efficient anymore? Suppose I'll be cancelling my order of 6k planks then... Some price comparisons would be nice as well, and I guess that I'll go look over the construction table to get familiar with levels and what not again... EDIT: With the current GE values, oaks are 3.6 gp/xp, teak is about 4.2 gp/xp, and mahogany is about 5.6 gp/xp. Unless I miscalculated somehwere. I'll look over that more closely when I get back.
  8. You could also use mith plates to speed up the xp, but I wouldn't advise that unless you either like high alching or have some junk management skills.
  9. or decrease your time spent doing something that you don't enjoy. I personally enjoy doing some busy work for 5-10 minutes to get 30k points and then ice blitz+blood barraging anyone who dares to not have a blue dot much more than mining for any amount of time.
  10. I was just wondering about the average amount of construction xp that is aquired while using hammers from stealign creation. I mean the total xp that is gained, not just the bonus. Also, I feel like building a pit of fire to test something, so i need a couple of extra construction levels. What is the current *best* method for training construction? I can't even remember how I did the last time that I needed to. Some other runner up methods would be nice to hear as well. I personally despise runecrafting, but I was compelled to train it because TOG recently gave me level 65 and I thought that I might make some deaths. Is the best method for crafting deaths with GOP tabs(this is nto a discussion on the worth of the tabs) to just tab to the altar, ring to c wars and then back repeatedly? I'd assume tha an abyssal familiar would b best to take, correct? I also noticed that crafting double cosmics would be more profitable, and that laws would also be almost as profitable as cosmics but considerably better xp. How would crafting via law altar tabs be done? It's always such a bother doing anything on entrana...
  11. I'm guessing that that was just a quickly corrected mis click...The prayers are right next to each other after all. Also, some people like to show off their prized shields. I think that that is less of a show of idiocy and more of an exposition of shameless self promotion. Or it could just be idiocy...
  12. How, exactly? The point of old merchanting was about supplying items to people who needed them, albeit at a premium. Much like the difference between wholesale and retail, it was a matter of convenience. The new style is just buying and selling items depending on the price they go for, you aren't screwing them out of any money. It's just the going rate, after all. For solo, anyways. Clan is a bit different. merchenting technically happens irl too... ever heard of the dollar store or pound store? they probably buy their items at 1/4 the price they sell at. *Facepalm* Did you even read what I wrote? Old style merchanting was essentially the same as wholesale/retail. I don't think she's disagreeign with you, just quoting your post as an example. or I could be totally wrong, whatever.
  13. You need to get up to the tracking part in one of the elf quests. I think it was Regicide...
  14. I expected my password of the last 7 years to be blacklisted but thankfully I get to keep my easily guessable password and forever limit my in game vocabulary
  15. There is a drop rate. When rolling dice, there is no counter that decides "oh, you've rolled the dice X times, better roll a 6 now." Nevertheless, the "drop rate" of rolling a 6 is exactly 1/6. This is honestly the BEST answer to a topic like this tha I have ever seen. The simplicity of the example makes it easy enough to understand for *almost* anyone who will read this thread, and I think that you may have just slightly decreased the total amount of general ignorance in the world. gj
  16. The ways that greed and jealousy affect different people is so interesting to me  Dance monkeys, dance...
  17. Well, I personally think the *best* way is to just buy and resell items at a higher interval(min to med, med to max) over one price update, and that's not really "merchanting" I don't think. i don't blame the people who take advantage of the GE database. It was a bad update in my opinion because it helps to scare idiots into panic selling and drivin down prices whenever they see a change. If the database was nice and ugly with no pictures, I'm willing to bet that we wouldn't have such dramatic price swings.
  18. Well, if your definition of "high lvl" is somewhere between 90 and 85, then grrrreat. I Something at 95 would be useless to me for a while and now I'm only just training for the sake of training(no interest in dark beasts). My opionion may be a bit unconsiderate and self serving, but whatever.
  19. Taking a titan to any situation where you won't use the full time seems wasteful to me, but I don't solo KBD often and have no idea how long trips last. I would take a t bird stuffed with sharks and a bunyip IF the trip will last less than an hour.
  20. You have to place the scarecrow AFTER you sow the corn seeds. You can just remove the scarecrow(with a spade I think) and plop it down again, but I'm not sure if you will have to plant new crops or not since yours are already fully grown.
  21. Noone crashes soloers. Will, a few gits do, but they usually fail and he has maxed melee stats so that is not a problem. Yes a pak yak would be the best, and no, soloing bandos is NOT worth it as opposed to going with a team/duo. However, it is much more fun in my personal opinion, and my range is a bit low for any thoughts of soloing at arma so no input on that.
  22. I bought my sword last year and will never EVER sell it, but I'm silly like that. personally i value the sword over the levels. You'd probably be better off just continueing to save until you can afford both. Also, you might as well stop at 88 or go to 92, because you get an extra point/dose at every 4th level.
  23. ++Equipped -slayer hat -fury>glory -karils top -karils skirt -d boots -barrows gloves -wealth(no love for the freminik rings) -ss/zam spear>v flail>d mace -no shield(dfs I suppose if you're using the mace, but I doubt you'd be using the mace if you have a dfs  ) -trimmed cape>skill cape ++Inventory -tele tab -holy wrench -bunyip scrolls -spec weapon(sgs is the best followed by a d mace, free space if the mace is your main weapon) -1 of each charm as a placeholder -2 super attack, and 2 super strength potions -8 prayer potions -2 bunyips(swap a prayer potion for a super restore if you're under 76 summoning) ++Tactics Run past the dragons with magic protection on(they will hit like 5 at most) to the western part of the cavern. Then just kill the fiends with range protection on. make sure that your weapon is on crush whenever you switch to spec. Sip a pure set dose whenever you start on a new prayer pot(I think that that makes them both run out a the same time, haven't used this method in a while). Use the scrolls on any lobster drops you get, and possibly save prayer while you use the excess food. Keep all(well not *all*) the stackable drops and also rune meds and water BATTLE staffs. Equip one of the sets of ammo for an extra space... Bank your games necklace at the deposit box for an extra space. I'm sure that I'm forgetting something...Whatever, good luck.
  24. Unless you have at least 68 summoning, karils, and 90+ defense and magic, you should pray. Personally I despise takign food along on tasks, and the above things should save you from eating. I had an sgs and was using the 5% defense prayer at the time, so I'm not 100% on that. Does anyone know if the defensive or magic prayers give the greatest magic defense? With similar levels in the two skills, that is.
