Most people, like me, don't hate tortoises, and are very very unhappy that Duradel only assigns those....birds now.

Anchors are freaking horrible...am I then only one that thinks that? :shock: I took one along on my first trip(mainly as a spec weapon but I kept using it for a bit) and it was pathetically ineffective. A d mace would be a much much better option. In retrospect that WAS my first trip and maybe I did not have the anchor on a crush setting...does it have any others?

There's no reason to not take your whip. They alch for 70ishk I think(which is actually pretty high) so they will protect over most thing, I personally have never lost a whip on death.

I never tried killing them at a lower level, what with summoning not existing yet and all, so I wouldn't know, but from what I've been told you would not be able to kill them very efficiently. Nwor says that you can do it though :thumbsup:

I've heard from several people that it is impossible to replace(glad I kept mine) but that you can get a friend to summon him for you.

The monkeys on top of the pillars in the town do NOT send you to jail when they shoot you. They can be meleed and you do not need to telegrab the bones. You can take them off the pillars. Bones from these monkeys will make a small ninja gree gree. To make a large ninja gree gree, you need to go to the U shaped warehouse, stand in the middle, and unweild your gree gree. This will summon the large ninja monkey guard. If he hits you, he WILL send you to jail. Once he appears he will approach you. At this point, put your gree gree back on (and run into the warehouse to hide behind the crates if the archers attack you). Karam (the gnome assassin) will protect you by killing the large ninja monkey. Take the bones it drops to make the large ninja gree gree. Or you could just kill Padulah(ninja with dual scimitars) who is in the town center surrounded by rangers to be a large monkey...on second thought, that may have been medium, but I did not see any monkey that was bigger than me in the course...

It really is idiotic for any company of a considerable size to not have customer service. I'm sure that they were bogged down with morons calling them, but to remove the system all together was a mistake in my opinion. I hope that you get your accounts back, but in all honesty, I doubt that it will happen :cry:

I take birds instead of turtles because either way I can usually only get 2 kills(3 if I get 2 good specs) and I'm a bit lower than you... I use... -Torag helm -Glory(I absolutely refuse to give up my teleports, yes I am that stubborn) -Karils top(I was only getting 1 kill/trip with guthans plate) -Torag legs -Dragon boots -Zamorak cape -BGS -Wealth(no point soloing as opposed to LS if you don't use a wealth in my opinion) -Barrows gloves With a tab, super set, and 2 prayer pots along with 12 sharks in the bird as Toast's guide suggested. Definately make sure to have piety on, the 25% extra defense is just as important as the attack bonuses, and using brews/restores will slow down your killing a bit AKA make you take more damage. Only thing that I can think of limiting your kills is you possibly not making sure to dance while eating. Also, use the dump bob button to get food from your familiar, and I kill grim[bleep]e first with piety/mage prayer on to decrease damage, I usually can't or just barely kill Strongstack. Good luck.

Regardless, they are bad for training. I always find it to be a bit funny when I'm getting kills faster than higher leveled people using godswords on tasks, and most people higher level than me have "extremely high" or maxed melee stats what with the summoning added in... Godswords are AMAZING on high defense monsters AKA bosses or soem things like Tzhaar(I don't suggest kllign them other than for their charms), Bork, barrows brothers(as some claim), suqahs, goraks and such, but if you don't have a use for the sword in mind, then you shouldn't be taking the time to save up money for one. To the person who said that he sold out his bank for the sword, shame on you :shame: shouldn't be dropping everythign you own into one item, also I'd imagine you being very limited in what you could do with just the sword.

So far I have a whopping 1 Mask out of all my tasks between 58 and 12k from 85 slayer...so I would peg it as being pretty rare.

What is it exactly that's limiting your trips? I don't see how you(obviously you're not tanking) can be using a filled inventory of sharks after only 20 kills... Also, what is the 1 super restore there for :-k

Wear a combat brace while you are doing RFD, then after that wear Barrows Gloves to Zammy GWD. I agree with using the obsidian shield.

I'm pretty sure that you get normal combat experience in ALR as opposed to the actual Abyss, but I could be completely wrong...

Also, Jagex decided to make the Familiar's AI pathetically idiotic, so they won't attack if the monster is not hitting you back. They also won't attack if the monster attacks your familiar instead of you for a while.

Chinning nechs is not good charms at all, lol. Not sure who started that rumour... it's also not the best use of chins for range xp.

Not anymore, they made it random now :wall: But oh well, a d imp can pop out of any of the spawn places, and the only reliable ones that I know of are just east of Al Kharid bank, the Castle Wars Lobby, and that little square just south of the gates to Piscatoris. You still need guthans on harder tasks such as gargoyles, suqahs, nechryaels, and what not. Also, I preferr using fighting familiars for fire giants and dust devils, so I use guthans then(could use B2P for dusties if you wanted).

Like others said, it helps defend against familiar attacks. i seriously doubt that it has much effect though, because I've noticed that the appropriate normal protection prayer helps A LOt more than the summoning specific one. For example, a steel titan won't touch you if you take a step back and throw on range protection.

Agreed, wearing guthans plate(same as torags), I could BARELY manage two kills per trip, but with karils I can definately get two kills except for when graardor decides to be an [wagon] hole, and 3 kills if I get at least 1 good spec. I take a bird loaded with sharks, because I don't have enough turtles to spare.

Nope, you have to kill the hellishly annoying ones. I suggest that you blacklist them as soon as possible.

Well I'm 90-90-89 and can't manage to get 100/hour :lol: I get 120ish per trip, but a trip=2 bunyips along with however many kills I can get before I hit 13 HP. So that's 120ish/1.5ish hours.

I honestly believe that the topic creator had good intentions, but he wasn't giving out very good advice. You would only be getting ores at max now very slowly if at all, and I foresee gold peeking and reversing pretty soon, so unless you sold it a day or 2 after buying at max, you would probably miss the peak and be forced to sell much cheaper and lose money. Just my opinion...I don't pretend to understand these things completely.
