  1. Well he said it a bit rudely, but has a valid point. The answer is thankfully no. For a DFS, yes, you can be assisted for that.
  2. Yes the hunter bow is amazingly awesome in every way for training. Kebbit bolts cost about 25 or so coins each and are somewhere between mithril and steel bolts I believe(never having personally used steel bolts). They are also surpisingly accurate and the bow fires at a rate a bit quicker than whipping(I think). If I ever decide to train this horrid skill again it will be with kebbit bolts, I only use them for killing Ahrim now :(
  3. I'm pretty sure that the museum minigame thing gives a few lamps too.
  4. I think dusties and greaters are in that range... I could just be completely wrong though. On second thought...I'm almost certain that they aren't, but they're close I think.
  5. it's not realy the actual cost it's the time that it takes to buy pouches. I've had offers sitting at max proce for days before -.- Same situation as with turtles.
  6. He's right except for the bit about shorter trips. they last for an hour (58-moss, 62-fire, or 64-ice if I remember right) and using them in normal training is extremely wasteful. They're best at places like DKs and GWD after your BOB is drained. They are really best in situations when you are steadily taking damage over a long period of time. They heal 8 and the defense boost is 12(not completely sure about the boost), and yes they can push your health 8 points over max.
  7. Hm... Not sure if you skimmed over my post or something, but some later ones have been indexed so...index for wio plox?
  8. You'd be better off joining a 110+ godsword team, that is unless you have rubbish luck like me... and compfreak, I was in a similar situation to yours, except I did bless the leechers grave. I was rewarded with a bit of flaming and being kicked from the chat so...being an a** hole is usually the best route
  9. In most cases when you mix up prayers you will die regardless. I'm a good ways off 99 defense, but I've seen higher leveled people get destroyed by Graardor's punches and Kree's gray tornado things.
  10. Exactly. You WILL get sick of this pretty quickly if didn't already enjoy playing the mini game. I'm pretty sure that they decreased the rate that you get nail beast events a while back, too.
  11. Magic(dart in my case) is faster than veracs which is faster than using a godsword. At least that's the case from what I've personally seen.
  12. I just realized that I hadn't tried mining with them yet  It's also pretty decent at whacking things to death, if that matters to you.
  13. Am I the only one who doesn't know what "shorts" are? the original questions been answered...but I'm a bit confused on that...
  14. First off, NEVER convert your pouches to scrolls just for the barely noticable extra experience. You're much better off high alching, trading, or selling your pouches. Don't alch gold charm pouches, though. You will just be wasting money. An EXTREMELY rough guess on how far your charms would take you is around level...53 or so. I could be completely wrong though...You would probably run out of money before using your charms, so I would say just use a few and keep your cash pile over 1 million.
  15. Was the first time before the second batch was released? I'm betting that it's more likely that they were boosted with the second batch as opposed to being linked to your level.
  16. Add in FOG dragon slayer gloves, they really make a huge difference over barrows.
  17. If that were true it would make rings of wealth bad to use at rock lobsters and waterfiends because they drop crimsons commonly...so I really hope that that is not the case, or else I wasted a good bit of my time...
  18. I still have yet to recieve an answer as to why you would use a dragonfire shield at arma. It only has 10 magic defense, and it's nice range defense bonus is irrelevant, because you will have range protection prayer on or else you will be dead. It also takes 5 off of your range attack and during the very very rare occasions when kilisa actually reches someone before switching targets(not soloing) it barely does any damage. How is 10 magic defense worth sacrificing 5 prayer, 8 range attack, and an additional 15 magic defense by switching out the blessed dhide for karils? You are actually losing 5 magic defense, and the only gain is a significant boost to melee defense, which would be great soloing, but virtually useless with 2 or more people. That said, my setup is... -Arma helm -Glory(I absolutely refuse to use 2 different types of necklaces, but a fury would be better of course) -karils top -karils bottom -snakeskin boots(ranger boots would be better, but I'll pass on that risk) -sara bracers(slight increase in magic defense over barrows gloves, 1 less range attack bonus, but most importantly, you won't lose the helmet on death and blocks off damage on entry) -rune xbow -accumulator -zamorak book(someone please explain to me how DFS is better) -ring of life(Arma isnt really as dangerous as some of the others in my opinion, but fremminick rings are pointless, and wealths are useless in ls) -grapple I take a bolt pouch with 255 addy bolts(for kc) 510 diamonds, and 255 rubies. I just use diamonds until I have an extra space to be able to switch between diamonds and rubies(can't open the pouch in combat which should be changed). Also, I take 3 prayer potions, 6 doses for KC and 6 doses for emergencies(Usually try to use up the extra 2 doses to save a space). I take a tab, bolt pouch, titan scrolls, summoning potion, 10 brews, 3 normal restores, 6 super restores in my inventory(No need to use supers when you don't need prayer points) and 3 prayer potions. I take with an extra turtle and a titan pouch along with 16 brews in the turtle. Well that's my setup and opinion, but yours and everyone else's will be different I'm sure. Good luck and what not...
  19. I know that you missed 70 defense for Knight's Ransom, but the rest of the list looks accurate. i could be wrong about the 70 defense, but I destinctly remember that...
  20. I've heard that it does, but I have no idea how :-k Not sure if it gives you a higher drop rate of that specific monster's rarer charms, or the better charms(blue/crimson), or...maybe just more charm in general...or none of the above...
  21. Oi...test them yourself, I have. I won't try to convince you further. Ancient staffs have a similar speed, I assumed this was common knowledge... Either way this is completely off topic, but I suppose the question has been answered anyways...
  22. Well your first point seems to completely disregard what I said, you will have to go buy more bloods after a decent number of trips, which would slow you down in the LONG run, not much of difference really, but it's still there. Your second point is just completely wrong, take a look at the speed value on a slayer staff, and that of an elemental staff(which it would be foolish not to use with waves). Your third point is true, but 1/3 doesn't cut it mate ;)
  23. That is from what you've heard, from what I've personally seen. You could MAYBE manage 1 or 2 more crimsons per trip on average, which isn't worth wasting another space in my bank. Also, it just looks funky. Also, yes your defense does affect how you defend against magic attacks. Magic level plays a role, too.
  24. Just take a look through the events forum. It might be a good deal harder to find now with the sticky update, but I'm sure you'll find one. Just take a hammer, 1 or 2 prayer potions(probably won't use them), and your armour really doesnt matter much. Just make sure you have a zamorak item and a bandos item if you can't access the spa. just go in and hack away with range protection on, I doubt that they'll make you tank at your levels, so no need to worry about that.
  25. Your defense is a bit low, but I think you could manage. Check out one of our guides in the AOW for more help. Personally I suggest using either or saradomin sword or any godsword(preferably of the saradomin variety) along with a dragon mace for special attacks.
