  1. For those of you (like me) who don't mind spoilers, like watching trailers and love watching interviews of the cast, etc., I would like to point out that Trailer Addict has EVERYTHING you'd love to see here: http://www.traileraddict.com/tags/harry-potter-and-deathly-hallows-part-ii Oh -- and as of the time of this posting, Rotten Tomatoes has rated Part 2 at 95%. :) I am thinking of trying to get into a midnight showing tomorrow night.
  2. Yes -- back on topic +1: I am curious if the new whip might have benefits as a PKing weapon. I haven't seen the actual "special" in effect yet, so I am merely speculating ... Throw a Bolas then spec with the new vine whip? :P Probably better just to use claws or korasi's though. True -- but what about in places like Castle Wars, Soul Wars and Pest Control -- or perhaps Troll Invasion or even the Fight Caves?
  3. Ah! Thanks for answering that! I was wondering if it might prove a useful weapon in those areas or not ... Hmmm. I wonder what the lasting effect of this will be?
  4. Why -- it was this one: .. or have you forgotten your little (edited) rant? I sure haven't ... A post about the update in a thread about the update is off topic? Can you please explain that one to me as it has me stumped. I asked a simple question and you verbally abused me about why I don't read updates. How was that "on-topic" exactly?

  7. Made me lol. +1 I thought the OP was also satire :-# Same here ...
  8. Save your keystrokes, Everyonedies -- that one is impervious to everything ... 1) Make a post 2) Someone responds to the post 3) Ignore their post and instead make comments towards them. This forum is called general DISCUSSION. If you're not prepared to discuss things than what are you doing here? You either have nothing to respond to due to knowing you've been proven wrong or you're just a troll posting things with no intent to respond to them and only posting them to get a response then go around making comments towards others. This isn't the first time you've done this and I'm sure it won't be the last. ... and once again you're chastising ME when it was YOU who took the thread off-topic.
  9. You know -- that THAT sentence could be taken more than one way, right?
  10. Save your keystrokes, Everyonedies -- that one is impervious to everything ...
  11. Uhh, that's called defence. All attacks are affected by defence, expect for Korasi's. This special seems like it could be useful against low defence monsters. By the sounds of it, it won't be too useful in PvP because it stops if your opponent is out of range. Hmmm - if you're in a multi-target zone, is the special multi-target too? No... why on earth would it do that? Seriously have no idea how you somehow even thought it might do that and what you're basing that on. People really need to learn to read the knowledge base when updates come out (or at all) the number of stupid questions I saw while in game was crazy. I managed to read up on everything and was still the first one on my server to the new area and got in a number of kills before anyone else showed up whilst still knowing what I needed to know about the area. 1. Not everyone has access to the knowledge base before it comes out, like some people do. (b) Not everyone has access to Runescape, or the knowledge base, when new material is released. Runescape is a blocked site from my workplace, and I am at work at the moment, so bear with me. (iii) You DO realize that, 65% of the time, the Knowledge Base, when releasing new material, is WRONG, don't you?
  12. If they had done that, then Dunge would have gone down the toilet as far as a training skill. The main reason anyone does DG is for the chaotics and the Frosties -- mmmm, chocolate goodness ... Uh -- ok -- no not THOSE frosties, but still. Well - perhaps, perhaps not. If the level 90 gear is only provided by, say "Nex's cousin's uncle's brother's former roomate", or another series of DG Floors and 100+ dunge requirements, then expect the level 90 gear to be pretty decent. If it's something like LRC phase 2, then no -- it'll be crap.

  14. No. None at all, I would suppose. Jagex isn't about to desert their flagship [mini] skill [-game]. Not at this point in time, in any event ...
  15. Sounds a lot like another LRC ... So -- any bets on how soon it becomes chock full of bots?
  16. If botting became "legal", then the genuine article game, itself, would become no better than "private servers" ...
  17. Two stupid questions: 1. Can someone please post the current "sale" prices for the aura's, clothes and emotes? 2. Has anyone tried to add more time to their membership today? If so, does it have any affect on the number of loyalty points you get?
  18. Why would they need to emigrate? The original researched article by The Guardian, which, by the way, never mentions anything about prisons – features some genuine investigative reporting where they actually went to China and did some talking to real people. Everything except prisoners playing video games, apparently ... I don't know about other online games, but it's very easy to limit communication in RS. You simply lie about your age and get limited to quickchat only. It still allows you a modicum of outside communication, which China is very strict about banning entirely. Again with the "sleep deprivation" and "torture" drama -- NONE of which is mentioned in the original article. You're extrapolating ideas that aren't there. As I said before, stop letting your imagination run wild with you and read what is IN the article, and don't offer your own interpretation of it as being "factual" evidence of anything. It's your "opinion" -- it is neither fact nor evidence of anything. Until such time as you can separate yourself from that aspect of the analysis, you'll never comprehend what I am talking about. As I have already said -- I have thoroughly acknowledged the likelihood that China's treatment of its inhabitants within its prisons is likely to be extremely brutal by Western Standards. That said, inasmuch as China is, and remains, a sovereign nation with the powers and authority vested therein by the people that its government purports to represent, in whatever way that may be, then China has the authority to administer to its criminal element, as defined thereby, in whatever way it deems necessary, and it is not my moral imperative, nor my intention to criticize it for whatever actions it may take, from time to time, or at any time, until such government is deemed, by a majority of it population, in an open and free vote, to no longer represent the will, the authority and the well-being of the people that it purports to represent. There are a wide variety of inhuman punishments being meted out by China upon its people -- some of which, I am sure, are quite miserable and tortuous, and some of which have already been listed herein this thread and summarily ignored by over-dramatic people trying to score brownie points and/or ease their social/moral consciences -- making someone play video games for 12 hours a day isn't one of them.
  19. Ah -- so the League owns it? Hmmm ... It'd get a little "sticky" though to call the team the "Jets". I mean, really -- where would you hang Hawerchuk's jersey, for example?
  20. She never paid for the seat anyways ... Jets is my choice, but I think the Coyotes organization actually still owns that name. <_< "Falcons" has some history to it, which is cool, too. But Jets is a first choice as far as I care. I can see why the Coyotes want to keep the name "Jets" from being used, though. It's their "team history", as it were, not the City of Winnipeg's.
  21. And yet you fail to ask yourself, "Why would a prison guard admit to breaking the law?" Why, out of a over hundred thousand prisoners allegedly forced to partake in this kind of operation, has only ONE alleged prisoner surfaced? Why didn't the Guardian do investigative research on this specific subject matter? Why take only one person's word for it, and then post it on the Internet? How ridiculous does this sound?
  22. That won't work with the bots though -- they will continue to play every game ...
  23. Hopefully they should fare much better this time around. The question is, what will they call it? Jets? Falcons? Roughriders?
  24. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/8537467/Chinese-labour-camp-prisoners-forced-to-play-online-games.html http://blogs.forbes.com/billbarol/2011/05/26/chinese-prisoners-forced-to-game-for-profit-okay-i-guess/
  25. Ok -- so there is YOUR threshold. So, what happens when the bots get to Corp and Nex? I mean, really -- it's only a matter of time before they proceed to that level if they're left unabated ... I seriously doubt that the botters at Black Demons are there for effigies. These are not people trying to avoid the "grind". If that was the case, they be leaving the ashes behind, or at least scattering them -- and they aren't. In fact, they pick all ashes left on the ground. They don't scatter them, and they bank them. All of which tells me that they're gold-farming.
