Your claiming the Player Mod didn't report the bot, with no evidence to back it up and yet continue to say that you're 100% correct and everyone else is wrong then go around throwing snide comments at people along with back handed comments. If you actually want to discuss things in General DISCUSSION then feel free to do so, but insulting people isn't going to get you anywhere. Well -- unlike some people - inasmuch as I cannot be two people at the same time, please explain to me how you can know she DID report the bot? Or did the fact that the bot continued on it's path for SEVERAL HOURS not demonstrate to you that she did nothing at all? Particularly when Jagex was in the midst of it's ball-grasping super-secret-bot-detection-banning scheme? Frankly, one would think that -- while Jagex was so GUNG-[garden tool] abot banning bots -- when an obvious bot was being obvious for HOURS ON END, you'd think that had she reported it, and Jagex was all over it's hard-on about bannings, that someone would have shown up and banned the bot. No? No. Nothing. Not a damn thing. Instead, the bot remained. For hours. :shame:

Is TIF a bit over-moderated? Well ... "a bit over-moderated" is like being "a bit pregnant". It's not a one thing or the other. It is or it isn't. Fact is, the site is, plainly, "over-moderated". End of story. You cannot swing a dead cat in here without six mods/admins jumping into the discussion and causing a problem. THIS thread is a perfect example of it. It starts as a rant, gets moved by an Admin, and then the Admins/Mods trample all over it. ... and then the Mods/Admins attempt to say that the site isn't over-moderated ... :rolleyes: You know, this situation would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragically stupid ...

Meanwhile, at THAT SAME TIME, this bot is scurrying about and the Pmod at the scene did bupkus, son-of-bupkus, return-of-son-of-bupkus and bupkus-the-next-generation about it ... Now, I understand that some people have issues with IRONY and understanding complex problems -- but you'd think that someone would understand the issue here? :rolleyes:

Actually you added the comment AFTER I already quoted you and posted mine. :P Actually, it's abundantly obvious why I haven't been asked to become a Pmod: I mean really, it's not like I contribute to the Runescape community: I've only got, what, 6k(+) posts in the RSOF, most of which were in the Quest Help section so I've barely done ANYTHING there ... ... and it's not like I am active on several different fansites or anything ... ... and I mean, really it's not like I've written the most definitive guides for Pest Control and Trouble Brewing, or anything ... ... or that I have written other guides relating to ancient curses and skills ... ... and it's not like I have written and contributed to hundreds of quests guides or anything on two different fansites ... ... and it's not like I haven't opened by own clan (friend) chat to the public, time and again, offering to assist, for free, anyone seeking a partner for the Heroes' Quest, and personally helped hundreds of players complete the quest ... ... and it's not like the forty some-odd friends I have who are all Pmods all come to ME and ask ME for advice and information on the game ... ... and it's not like I provide consistent and friendly advice to hundreds of people, every day, as I enclounter them in game, so obviously I'm not a contributing member to the Runescape Community so obviously I should be a Pmod, right? That's the problem. People expect them to, expect that white crown is for more than show or a status symbol. That it's a responsibility. Why be held in high regard by Jagex - way many see it - when you're not going to exercise even the slight power to temporarily mute? Player moderators aren't anything like Game Moderators/Masters in other MMOs, and it's this mistaken belief that's at issue, I think. Indeed -- what, then, is the point of awarding someone a crown if they're not going to take the responsibility to exercise the powers with which they have been granted? Why should a regular player care, when those moderators can't be bothered to take the time to do the right thing? <_< ... oh, and I like how I am labeled the hypocrite (by the Pmod) for not undertaking to do the "mod wannabe" action that the Pmod failed to take. Now that's irony! :rolleyes:

People who call Player Mods to come do something are the most irritating people in the game, "I know a Pmod I'll get them". As a Player Moderator myself there is very very few occasions where I'd go somewhere and do something for the sake of taking action against somebody, it would have to be a very extreme case that needs urgent attention to stop a risk of safety for others. Also, use your ignore list. I've told you many times before yet you seem to have a problem doing that and always complain about people continuing on saying/doing bad things. Your ignore list exists for a reason, use it. Once again, a PMOD demonstrates that they, like Jagex, don't give a tinker's damn about the state of the game. :rolleyes: Go figure. Believe me I do. But if I'm in the middle of doing something then you ask me to come with you to just report people I'm not going to do it unless it's a VERY extreme case. You've clearly demonstrated that you have no idea what the role of a player moderator is in game. It is not a player mods job to do the reporting for you. If you don't bother reporting yourself and refuse to use the other tools available to you then it's very hypocritical of you to complain when Player Moderators aren't using their tools, is it not? 1. This isn't about cheap ways to kill Miths or how to go about picking up drops -- this is about maximizing your efficiency in getting faster kills and completing slayer tasks sooner and maximizing your slayer XP. If you want to offer advice like that provided above -- then go to H&A. This is not the place to argue about whether or not you should range or mage Miths. It's clearly obvious that the rapier is more efficient. /thread

I am in the process of doing this myself at the present time. Use the Elite Void gear for sure. I am informed that, if you have it, the Void Deflector is superior to the D Def in this situation. Though, I am using a dragon defender because I don't have the Deflector, so I cannot confirm this. Using piety will up your kill count significantly, but it will also chew through prayer pots a lot faster. It'd be helpful if we knew your levels? Can you use a Yak? Do you want to Yak the ashes or use Urns? :unsure:

I use the same basic format when maging, except I use the "rolling barrage" technique -- which is to set one barrage spell to auto, and manually cast a second one. Each time I auto cast the first barrage (usually Ice), I immediately manually click the second barrage (blood, shadow). In effect, it means I've always got a spell rolling out against my target(s) at all times.

It's a common tactic in nurseries to place disruptive children in isolation so they cause no further harm to others. Frankly, so long as that remains true, I don't really care about the rights and wrongs of how this came about. Good luck then. Ezkaton -- what exactly is keeping you from getting the Soul Wars cape itself? Is it the "questing" or the battle against Nomad? :unsure: As he mentioned in his post, its the 2 skill requirements he lacks thats keeping him, as he hates to level them :P I'll respond to the Ninja: Musta been the tl/dr thing ... Okay -- then why not toss a few Effigies or Penguin Points on them and be done with them? Those requirements aren't THAT high to be impossible to achieve in a reasonably short amount of time. I'm not saying necessarily that the cape is "worth" it -- but the quest itself, and the battle is sure as hell WORTH it, and 70 Soul Wars points is a good chunk of XP ...

Can you name something that isn't fun? For a select amount of time, anything can be fun, so the advice for fun would be: do anything. Doesn't sound helpful to me. ... and yet, time and again, we see that exact same advice being given in H&A ... :unsure: The better name for the "fun" you mean would be "suggestions other then the most efficient".
