  1. Currently reading A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, from the series A Song of Fire and Ice. Was recommended to me by N0M, and I'm beginning to see why he recommended it. If anyone has ever read The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, you'll know the style that is used, switching back and forth between characters. In school, for an ISU, I read Nineteen-Eighty Four, and loved it. I loved Orwell/Blair's use of simplicity, and the political element that it involved. Admittedly that project also lead to me being much more analytical of books, looking for examples of foreshadowing, etc. that make reading a book so much more enjoyable. To answer the original question though, yes, I love reading. Fiction, Non-Fiction, it doesn't matter. In fact, I am reading Stephen Hawking's A Briefer History of Time. It just makes me want to read the original.
  2. According to that, I could sell a party hat to a hotspot at the GE price, make the 300mil, then buy it back for the 1-3gp pre-GE price. I can see way too much abuse coming from this. I do like the delay for something to appear in the shop if it is worth a certain amount though.
  3. I've pretty much realized that I will be playing this game for a loooong time to come. To me it's just that good. Unfortunately that pushes every other game I've planned on playing back (Banjo Kazooie, Fallout 3, Farcry 2, Skate 1/2, and pretty much every other holiday release).
  4. Played it at a friends house. Unfortunately for me, the controller is too small for my hands. Also, I found the strumming very inaccurate, or at least clumsy. Would have loved it were it not for that.
  5. I bought her a house right away as well, the Cemetary Manor or whatever you want to call it. She still just walked away.
  6. On that note, where the hell does she go off to once you propose to her? Did that, and she just walked out of the cemetery with reacting to me at all.
  7. Actually, pretty much just Level 1 Time Control, Level 3 Time Control, Level 4 Time Control + then anything you want will make you invincible.
  8. Yeah, the fact that you used a vehicle more than once in the entire game was pretty good of Epic. One thing I would have wanted was to be TOLD YOU COULD MOVE AROUND WHEN YOU'RE THE REAVER GUNNER. Jesus Christ the third time you get rockets shot at you, it's nearly impossible to shoot them down. Then after the twentieth attempt, I accidentally discovered you could move around enough to avoid the rockets -.- Also, am I the only one who found Gears 1 harder? Right now I've only been able to compare Hardcore to Hardcore, and I can't even play my Gears 1.
  9. agreed. The reason absitence is taught is because it IS the only method that really works, 100%. Saying that it shouldn't be taught is like saying using a calculator shouldn't be taught to do math, because it is the most reliable method. Sorry, I forgot to add only to the end of abstinence. One top of protection and abstinence being taught side-by-side in schools, I feel that abortion and adoption need to be taught side-by-side as well. Equal emphasis put on both, and taught by an objective teacher. Yes, yes I would. They created me, cared for me, and made me who I am. If being alive meant that they would have to go through hell just for me, I would let them choose. If they choose me over themselves, I will love them all the more. If they chose themselves over me, they have done no wrong.
  10. Even Winning Feels Bad - Bomb the Music Industry! Changed to: This Respirator - The Flatliners
  11. Games I hope to play this year: Bioshock (1  ) Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts Fallout 3 Far Cry 2 That's about it really, I don't care much for any of the new games being released. For instance, CoD:MW2 just sounds like a complete remake of CoD4 until more info is released on it, and everything else I'm just not interested in. Yeah, I'm about 2 months behind on games.
  12. Phantom Pt. II by Justice
  13. So, was there a link to the FOCA posted? To add to the debate/flame war: I am personally pro-choice. What has to be remembered though is that there are 3 choices. Have the baby and keep it; have the baby, put it up for adoption; abort. Each choice varies depending on the situation and the person. I don't see why you would ever think that giving a 15 year-old girl a baby to look after by herself (Maybe with support from parents) a good idea. Some people say that you are wasting a life when a pregnancy is aborted. What if the woman was 15 years old, would have to raise the baby on her own, came from a lower-class family, and had a very promising future that would involve commitment to university/high school? Abortion or adoption. What if the girl doesn't feel she could part with something she has given life to? Abortion. I know that is a very extreme case. Also, I think what really needs to be taught is real sex education. Not [cabbage] abstinence. Teach protection, maybe with a minor emphasis on abstinence. I like how mine has been. Since grade 7, I've been taught about protection, however was always told that abstinence was the only 100% sure method. I am pro adoption and abortion.
  14. HOLD ME CLOSER TINY DANCER. Yeah, Tiny Dancer is definitely my favourite drunk song.
  15. Because I would get bored every so often and slaughter a village or two, I ended up with horns the entire game.
  16. I laughed, but not enough to be worth the 9 minute video I had to watch. 3 chuckles from the entire thing.
  17. That generally gives you access to Oakfield (Or atleast is what introduces you to Oakfield), but the posting for bartender wasn't available for me until much later on in the game.
  18. Mind bullets can. Anyways, thoughts aren't physical. EDIT - I suppose premeditated murders are the direct result of a thought. Hell, all murders. Who said the question was limited to physical objects?
  19. A thought cannot directly kill you.
  20. I personally liked the earlier 3Oh!3, but now I'm beginning to dislike their newer music.
  21. Thought that was the reason, although I don't consider "looking good" an important thing at all. Yeah, if two performers sound the exact same, the better looking one will be better, but if a guy with horrible posture is just a complete master with the violin, no one is going to care that he slouches a bit. I've really just never liked the idea of posture for aesthetic reasons.
  22. Rap

aquariusman replied to xlippsx's topic in Off-Topic
The rap and hip-hop I'm more drawn towards is in the style of Immortal Technique, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Talib Kweli, and The Unspoken Heard. I do like other stuff, but mainly because it's just ear candy.
  23. Tainted Wheat by the Rx Bandits. Changed to Holy Wars by the same while posting. Damn I love the Rx Bandits sometimes, and this is one of them.
