  1. So who else thinks that the next installment in the Halo universe will be the rescue of the Chief?
  2. Yesterday I picked up two new CD's: Destroy To Create from The Flatliners and Sink or Swim by The Gaslight Anthem
  3. What I'm hoping for from the campaign is more of a mixed playing style. Also a longer campaign that focuses on each style of combat for more than one mission. More stealth-based stuff. I kind of liked what was done with CoD3, where the missions jumped back and forth between the different forces. Maybe for MW2, have an undected infiltration going on while there is a force defending a site. With the defense, you can have counter-attacks, sniping, close-quarters, etc. Basically, I want the campaign to be something that does more than just introduce the weapons and different combat tactics. It really does just feel like a tutorial. For multiplayer, what I want the most is to be able to play online with more than one person per Xbox. I mean, if I'm with friends, and we want to play online, we want to be able to play together, not have one person play while the others sit around and watch. Also, maybe bring in a Nazi Zombie-type game mode, except, you know, realistic? Nazi Zombies was great and all, but I found it much too gimmicky, as if it was the main selling point. I would have bought the game if the other features of WaW were more than just very simple additions to MW. Other than that, I want something new that makes MW2 different from WaW and MW. A map editor perhaps?

I've pretty much decided to try not and live with regrets. Of course I do have some, but I don't let them weight me down or anything. Instead, I set them as goals, unless it was a one time thing. Also, one thing I've found is that doing something that scares you is one of the most exhilarating someone can do. Even if it's as simple as asking someone out.

Really? I guess it might be hard, but I see a lot more politics in the Daily Show than the Colbert Report, and even though I see a lot there, it's mainly in the form of comedy. The Colbert Report is really more comedy than politics. I tend to like the Daily Show's jokes more, too. Jon Stewart's humor is addicting. Also, I've noticed that a lot of Colbert Report episodes can be hilarious at points, and slightly boring during others. If I watch the Daily Show, I'm usually guaranteed a laugh and a good time, and the Colbert Report, at times, can be more of a gamble. Don't get me wrong, though. I love both shows. Colbert definitely can be better than the Daily Show at times, but like you said, at others it will be boring. The Daily Show however, while not quite as funny, will be interesting the entire time because Jon Stewart doesn't try to just inject humour into the interviews, he also makes sure that there is a real political discussion. At times on the Colbert Report, Stephen is just acting like the class clown, trying to make a witty remark for everything the person he is interviewing says.

Since it's free, I'll probably check it out. Hopefully will end up with the same username I always have (aquariusman).
  7. Streetlight Manifesto - Forty Days I love being able to name a song just by hearing any part of it :
  8. Very likely something to do with Streetlight Manifesto, like: Mr. Gepetto The Big Sleep Moderate Rock Colour-Coded Quotes Failing, Flailing Or, 'Bigfoot'. Maybe even Post Junkie :-$
  9. I'd say the only advantage of driving and owning a manual is no one will borrow your car.
  10. A has already been said, the game is awesome for about an hour. Then it just starts to get boring and repetitive. Also, I'd say it doesn't really get hard at any point, unless of course you try to always kill enemies a different way other than using counter-attacks and throwing knives.
  11. Instant jealously right there. Of the two concerts they have had in Toronto, one was 19+, and the other I was out of town for a hockey tournament. The line-up for this year is horrible, I hate how they're letting in all of the 'scene' bands. Also, HOW THE HELL IS 3OH!3 ON THE LINE-UP. At least all the other bands could make an excuse for being on the Tour. What else is annoying is that venues still aren't posted, I wouldn't imagine it'd be that hard to get them out.
  12. I will generally read any kind of book. Or at least start reading. Fantasy, mystery, science fiction, teen fiction, non-fiction; all of them genres I have enjoyed. I generally like a more humorous tone to the books I read, whether it be sadistic or light, I do not care. Most of the books I read do however tend to be in the Fantasy genre. The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan is among my favourites, although after being recommended A Song of Fire and Ice by N0M a few weeks/months ago, I am loving A Game of Thrones. Another of my favourites is Catch Twenty-Two, a wonderfully sadistic book about a WWII bomber pilot. I think it is really hard to define what makes a book worthwhile to read, but I'll try. For me, so long as a book is able to absorb me in its universe, teach me something, make me think differently, or just have some impact on me in general, I will say it is worth the time to read. If I walk away from a book the exact same as when I picked it up, something is not right. Now, I read for many reasons. School, self-interest, boredom, or to fuel a self-interest. School is self-explanatory, as is boredom, but I think I need to differentiate between self interest, and fueling a self-interest. What I mean by self-interest is that I read just because I love reading. Fueling a self-interest generally applies to non-fiction for myself. I am deeply interested in the sciences, so I tend to read more than a few books and articles on chemistry, physics, and computers.
  13. ^ Yeah, sometimes I end up doing that, but it kills all of your accuracy at anything closer than point-blank (Where a knife is much more effective). Unless your lucky, a relaxed, but still fast, burst will kill 'em faster than going for a speed record. Also, I now love the M4.
  14. Just a simple question, but did the game ever save that first time before re-downloading the DLC? That could have overwritten all of the game data that described your items.
  15. Me? Well I'm a full-on maxed-out player. You know, the Zezima of real life. I must say I'm proud of the achievement, you wouldn't believe how many hours I've spent no-lifing life just to get to where I am today. So much sleep lost, so many other things I could have done IRRL (In Real Real Life). Either way it doesn't matter, it has been worth it. I'm the second to reach this awesome milestone in the life community, and it fills me with joy to share it with you. Also, I am recruiting members for my newly-founded rugby clan. the requirements are as follows: Minimum of 100 Combat level, we need real men who are willing to stuck up for their teammates. Attack level of 40 Strength level of 80 Defense level of 70 Health level of 50 Ranged Level of 60, 80 if you are applying for a full back position. Agility level of 70. If you wish to apply, please contact me in real life. Just thought I'd get the word out there, happy lifing!
  16. Well, finally starting to play CoD4 regularly now, and by far my favourite weapon is either any sniper other than the R700, or G3+Dot. Question about S&D, UAV Jammer or Stopping Power? I still haven't been able to decide. Currently two set-ups I usually use are: Red Dot G3 Frag x3 :| Stopping Power Last Stand And Drag. Claymore Stopping Power Iron Lungs Don't end up putting too much use to the Sniper now, since I finally got back my G3 with Red Dot (I mostly play at a friend's house).
  17. I can't remember :? Most memorable dream however was raptors surrounding my elementary school. That's about it, I just remember viewing it from a camera-like view, and the raptors were wandering around aimlessly. I think there may have been someone barricaded inside though. This was when I was around 8 years old. Concerning memory and things happening at night, one I rolled off the top bunk, falling on my neck. Or at least, I know I fell off, just I don't remember falling off or getting back up. It's weird. Either way I woke up the next morning, unable to move my neck. Waited in the emergency room for 2 hours, then just gave up and went back home. Or my mom gave up. When I was... I have no clue maybe 10. Either way, I think I relate all of my back and neck problems to that incident. Neck gets messed up, which will carry down to your back. Way off-topic, but the board is called that after-all.
  18. I call driver's seat for any vehicle at the start of every match. Seriously, me and my friends have a great time, I drive, they get me the Assisted driving medals or whatever they're called. I get a great time, a win, and my friends get kills. Everybody win (Except the losers). Oh, and Avalanche is possibly the best map on Halo 3. There's just something about it I love. Probably the fact that it is awesome for any objective game, and I do love objective games. mumm_ra, how much do you play Halo now? I'm seeing you online quite a bit, or at least whenever I am (Rarely) online.
  19. **Aimed at the thread and American public in general** As long as people keep praising him for being I will keep telling them to smarten the hell up and realize that him being black/white/whatever has nothing to do with his performance as a president. Stop lifting him onto a pedestal just because he is something that he couldn't choose. Lift him onto a pedestal if he actually does something worthy of said pedestal. Question his place of birth all you want; until he is proven to have not been born on American soil, let him do his job. Y'know, the thing he was elected to do.
  20. Earnest The Chicken is what did me in. Damn levers, but definitely my favourite quest, since I did manage to do it on my first account. Was just to lazy to try again after that account got hacked. I generally stuck to Bugs and Suggestions, couldn't care much for General Discussion. Then very slowing moved down the list of boards. Staying around mainly because I have nothing better to do, but also because I generally enjoy the community, especially if I stick to OT and other boards like it. Is it sad that I may have read up to 65% of all the guides, when I the total time I was a member totaled 3 months? That's what happened to me when I was playing. Would be reading the forums only to switch windows and realize I had been playing.
  21. ProTip: Avoid Zumiez and West-49. Go for local skate stores that sell decks more than clothes, because that's what West-49 and Zumiez have become, just clothing stores, with a few decks for sale in the back. Both of 'em are trying to sell a lifestyle, not actual skate gear.
  22. lol, I was thinking of asking you for help in campaign. I still haven't done the first half of the game in legendary since I joined you guys halfway through. I'd be happy to go through the whole thing again (but not atm cuz no live on my lt leaf) Sounds good, just ask me when you get Live back.
  23. Super B*tch (Live) by Authority Zero
  24. I like it, rant about your favourite games without actually feeling like you're bashing them  Like you said about Mass Effect, online co-op, along with a good control scheme for the vehicle, less monotonous exploring of planets, and maybe balance the game more effectively. Right now my assault rifle cannot overheat, with incendiary rounds :| Halo 3: 90-degree snap option in Forge Matchmaking for online co-op campaign. I might be one of the few that enjoy playing campaign, but it's hard to find people to play with. Look to get some better Double XP weekends. Living Dead is just horrible, whenever I've played I never had any fun. Matchmaking for custom games. I think it'd be awesome to look through a list of all the 'open' custom games. 'Open' meaning that the creator has selected this setting; it is never set by default and is different from the current Open/Friends Only/Closed option. Fable 2: Again, like you said, a map. Difficulty settings maybe? (Or is there already one :anxious: ) Fix the house-trophy exploit, or at least have some consequence for removing the trophies. ACTUALLY DIE. I DON'T CARE ABOUT A SCAR. Make fat easier to lose aside from eating celery.
  25. Don't worry, it's going to be underwater basket-weaving for sure.
