[/hide] The thing that ticks me off about the BR is how the spread is random. I wouldn't care if the bullets went in the exact same wide spread, but sometimes you'll get 3 bullets going dead straight, other times having them go in a very wide spread. The BR is near-perfect on LAN, but once you hit online and bullets start dropping, that's when it gets bad. If you want to test it, play a game of MLG, go into theatre, and watch the bullet counter on the BR. If it goes from, say, 24 then flickers back to 25, that means a bullet in the spread was lost over the internet and was refunded back to you. I find that a random spread would make it more interesting, more realistic. I always thought that would fit well with MLG. I can understand your anger about the refunded bullet. It's like doing something amazing that would put points up on the board for your team, but then the referee turns around and says, "Sorry, I blinked, could you do that again?" I also said that I should play MLG more, I have never really noticed any problems with the BR.

I agree, but the DS has more games The reason I'm not even considering it is because I have played a friends, and probably the only game I actually like is PataPon, or whatever it's called. Other than that, I don't like anything about it.

Apparently my friend's parents got him one at a mall (I guess I should mention that in the Wiki entry, the mall is called "Asian"). Although he did get an R4+2GB microSD for $180. I'm just planning on buying the games on the chance that I can't get a flash cart.

Games added, but I was under the impression that in order to get the homebrew games on you DS, you needed something like a microSD card. I was thinking that regular would be better, especially for me since Lite is 2/3 the size (Big hands : ) EDIT: Answer came form Nadril's NDS thread. I liked it the first weekend it came out. I just happened to be at a friend's for his birthday, so there were a few other people. It was absolutely awesome to play with your 2/3 other teammates sitting right beside you. Now I just find it boring and at times useless, probably because I hate the hammer.

Things I Have Decided On I will get a DS Lite if I can get a flash cart that works. I will get either a CycloDS Evolution. I will likely buy the flash cart through eBay, because it is the only thing that I really trust. I might buy one or two games, probably won't. How many games is the series at now, 12? (Red, Blue, Yellow; Gold, Silver, Crystal; Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald; LG, FR [Was there a Blue?]; Diamond, Pearl, Platinum. That's actually 14-15) If that isn't milking the series, I don't know what is. Anyways, I stopped playing the games after G/S/C because I didn't want to continue on and I just became uninterested. Now, since I'm pretty sure anything past R/S/E is DS, I can't get back in, because I don't really feel like buying a DS just for Pokemon (Although I can think of a few games, I don't think I would actually play it all that much). This thread HAS made me consider trying to make some teams with just the first two generations of the series. Also, what exactly is chaining? Actually, after seeing that the DS is only $130, the idea intrigues me. I think I will be making a thread for myself.

I guess that was some good flamebait he posted. Remember, if you argue with the trolls, even if you're right, they win. My favourite games are Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, Mass Effect, and the fifth will probably be filled in by Banjo-Tooie: Nuts & Bolts or Fable 2. Guitar Hero 2 easily has the best set list out of all the music games. Also, it is much more realistic in terms of how accurate you have to be when playing notes, especially Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs. Guitar Hero 3 has a more lenient timing code, so it's more relaxing to play for me. The songs are okay, but they are challenging without being frustratingly so, as is the case with Guitar Hero 2 (I don't like having to play Hard, I prefer to be playing Expert). Also, I find Guitar Hero 3's achievements to be better goals for me, because at least I have online for the co-op achievements. Halo 3 I love in general. The campaign is great for me, even better on co-op. The online, while matchmaking is much better on CoD4, it's the custom games and various mini-games that have spawned off of forge that I love. The Theater lobby is pretty for letting you watch videos of other games, and then File Share just makes custom games all the better. I admit, there are several things that could be fixed, I think that the Hammers are one of them, but I still love it. Also, campaign might as well have infinite challenge. Only 2 players have completed the Campaign on Legendary with all of the Skulls activated. I'm currently doing Legendary Solo (Because I originally did it in co-op) and hope to slowly add more Skulls. That will give me literally days of straight gameplay if I hope to eventually beat Legendary with all Skulls active. Many people will complain that the Halo 3 community is just a bunch of whining 10 year-old kids, but you have to realize that isn't the community. You aren't part of the community just because you play the game. You actually have to contribute to the game to be counted as part of it. Even if you just post on the Bungie.net forums constructively, you are still contributing. Most of the major contributors are very mature and generate awesome content. If you want proof, just check out ForgeHub, the best maps of this half year have been decided. I have never heard of the BR being "broken", only that it was nerfed since Halo 2. I don't see how the spread is bad in anyway. It's not like you can expect any burst-shot weapon to hit the exact same spot with all three bullets. I guess I'll have to play MLG more to see for myself. Now on to Mass Effect. I loved the storyline, I don't know of anything similar, and the number of choices you had was amazing, even if most of them led to the same result. Then the achievements give you a reason to play through the entire game multiple times, so if you're obsessed with achievements, it makes the game worthwhile. My only complaint is the side-stories. The worlds that you can explore are in no way unique, most of them just various types of terrain that you have to search to get a few side-stories finished. I actually don't mind the vehicle movement, to me it's the physics that needs to be fixed. I just loved Fable and Banjo-Tooie, so I hope that they live up to my expectations. If either of them live up to it, or atleast make a decent game, they will probably be put as 5th and 6th just out of nostalgia.

Amazing, isn't it? And I wear a headset when I play, but I don't necessarily talk. I will talk if there's stuff that my teammates need to know (i.e. x player is at y spot with z weapon) and the only reason I wear it is if my teammates do the same - they actually tell me what's going on over where they are/were. What's wrong with child-friendly games? It's not like the games put out by Nintendo are completely straight forward (As in, they tell you exactly what to do, no skill is needed to do it). The only reason I have a 360 is because I know quite a few people who have one along with Xbox Live, so buying it has been worth my money, despite the fact that I rarely use it nowadays. I wouldn't mind getting a Wii either, I would buy it just for Mario, Zelda and Samus. Because it was the cheapest of the 3 consoles, I now know why. Co-op sounds awesome. Especially since all the other players are just purple orbs floating around until you join/invite them. The dog feature seems to have been focused on too much, it really shouldn't be a large part of the game at all. This is Pet Shop 2, this is Fable 2. I also don't like the idea of guns, unless they mean really simple, single shot, black powder, take a minute to reload guns. That would be fine, since you'd be sacrificing speed for lethality, just like the crossbow but actually worth the trade-off (Crossbow was just too slow to make up for its extra power). Also, the idea of 1-button magic intrigues me - How is it going to be used? Will there truly only be one button involved, or will the spell have to be chosen, and the one button is just a shortcut. I quite liked Fable's magic system. It was melee where I found faults, such as being much too vulnerable when being surrounding by enemies, or even just facing an enemy 1-on-1. Never once did I use blocking in the game, save for the combat tutorial. And switching to magic was much too fast in my opinion. Should have been like ranged and melee, where you have to put away your weapon (Maybe need a staff for offensive spells?). Despite all this I am eagerly looking forward to Fable 2, alongside Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Those two games should keep me busy for a few months I also have $400+ dollars that I'm trying to hold onto for the holiday/Fall release of games. Gears of War 2, Fallout, BK:N&B, Fable 2, GHIV, Rockband 2, Halo Wars, Portal Still Alive, and maybe even Final Fantasy XIII. The games I buy from that selection will probably equate to $300

Haha, just don't send it in too much... My friend (Jackis25 on my friends list) has to pay even though he has his warranty... He sent it in about 1 time every month since he got it brand new :lol: . Once every month? Did he do that because it kept on breaking, or because he was paranoid... because that is just a waste of time for both sides. First of all it can take weeks before you get your 360 sent back, and you will also just piss off Microsoft. I have only called Xbox support, which was when I was told by an EB Games rep. that my laser was scratching my discs. The sales rep said that the problem was "common" and from what she told me, the laser was out of place, because I moved my Xbox. It kind of made sense, but made me wonder why a console, which should be expected to be moved, would have a part that could be displaced so easily. So I called, not really intending to send my 360 in unless the person there actually knew about the problem (Warranty is up, so unless I get RROD'd, I'm paying $99, no matter if there is a problem or not). Basically, the person avoided my question about whether the problem is common, and kept on trying to get me to use the disc replacement program, despite the fact that I told her several times I already bought/used the warranty I had through EB games to replace them. I really hate MS support, and how Microsoft is doing what Apple does and makes us pay a premium on the 360 products just because they refuse to let others produce them (I'm sure that a 20gb external hard drive does not cost $120, thank you very much, let us use REAL hard drives!). Anyone else wondering whether Apple will ever get into the console market? Oh, and I would appreciate if someone would like to play Legendary campaign with me. I don't need the achievements (1000/1000 \ ) but I love playing campaign with someone else.

I'd rather my tax money go to starving African children than a massive ceremony. While as a socialist I appreciate your concern for global poverty, your argument is sadly based on total naivety. Even with the issue of dictators and regimes aside, simply giving aid to Africa doesn't work - in fact it actually makes things worse. We flood their economy with 'freebies', but all this does is out-compete the few in Africa who were providing those commodities in the first place, putting them out of business, meaning the poverty just hits harder next year. We give them more aid, and the vicious cycle continues. One example is agriculture. We have too much food in this country, so he give literally mountains of food to the Africans in aid. This floods their economy with food, putting their farmers out of business. Because they've less farmers, they have less food and the starvation worsens. If you genuinely want to help Africans, buy products under projects such as the FairTrade scheme, or a charity which actually gives Africans the capability to lift themselves out of poverty. Examples would be groups which build fresh-water wells inside villages, charities which teach villagers how to farm their own produce and provide the seeds to allow them to grow their own food. Groups which construct basic schools to educate children and provide opportunity later on in life. Apart from sending out a principle, this would do nothing to lift Africans out of poverty, sadly. The global economic system we live in simply would not allow such a solution. Wish my friend was online so I could get the link to a report that shows foreign aid in the form of money has at best no impact. Money isn't what gives a country a successful economy, good government does. Look at the United States. They were one of the richest countries in the world, but George W. Bush has brought them into the biggest financial deficit in their history, after a hefty surplus. They had all that money and built-up infrastructure, yet the US still has a huge financial crisis. Charities and foreign governments needs to insert better government policies to make a Third-world country prosper. Pouring foreign aid into countries makes them dependent on that same aid which was meant to help. I do think that the money could be better spent elsewhere though, instead of the Olympics. Although, the Olympics today are pretty much just a sign of wealth. How about improving infrastructure in your home country instead of wasting it on an event that will likely be forgotten in a year. Make your country more independent from imports, improve public services, create more public services, invest that money in foreign countries (I think it's Norway that invests almost entirely in foreign operations, turns out they are doing pretty damn good), do something that puts good use to the money. Oh, and charity work should be up to civilians, not the government.

I have tried to remain quiet about this topic for a while, and it looks like I finally have enough motivation to post, after reading Serephurus' post. There are two sides to this war, Anonymous and the CoS. I choose neither, because both seem to be spewing out equal amounts of propoganda. After two of my friends, who are friends through the forum, got into this, I did a little research. After reading, mainly through Anonymous sources, I essentially couldn't take the bullcrap any longer and decided to take a neutral aggresive role in this. Basically, both sides can eat [Cabbage] and die. Now, after I had thought about the Anon/CoS war, I pretty much cut myself off from anything that kept me on the Internet. I deleted&blocked anyone on MSN who I knew through Tip.it. I stayed away from Tip.It. Turns outs just getting rid of the friends is what did it for me. I was able to forget about the crap surrounding Scientology. I never thought about it until I decided to read Serephurus' post, and it basically summarized all of the crap for me. It isn't your fault though, Serephurus, I knew very well that opening this thread would probably result in this post. There are five sides to every two-sided war. There are those two sides fighting against eachother. Then on each side there is a group of people who disagree with the war, will refuse to fight, but they are still allied with that side. Then there's me. I choose neither side, and accept none. The war could create WWIII for all I cared, we need the population loss anyways. Just don't use propoganda on me. If Scientology is so bad, the UN would know about it. Other countries would know about. Some would expose it. Just remember that your primary source for all of this information might as well be 4chan.

Just sit on the porch/deck reading with a cousin or cousin's girlfriend) Listen to certain music through speakers, namely anything but mainstream rock. Turn up the speakers loud enough to hear the music no matter where I am in the house. Aforementioned/suggested activities. Feel truly relaxed, unless I ignore the other person completely. Even then, it's hard to ignore someone when you're sitting in a still boat or in a forest. Randomly break out in song. Watch Family Channel. The minute someone walks in, different channel.

You can your new-fangaled Pokemon. Any version past Gold/Silver/Crystal is just milking the series. Seriously, just take a look at the Pokemon names. Get online for the first two sets and your good. The first 150(1?) were the best. Sand attack, if I manage to use it enough times that the other Pokemon has next to no chance of hitting me, short of swift. Only problem is surviving long enough to get to that point. New idea: Snorlax+Leftovers; Moves Rest, Sand Attack, Nightmare/Snore and Double Attack. Use Double Attack to start off, then Sand Attack until you are near dead or Sand Attack has no effect. Then use Rest to heal/fall asleep, Nightmare/Snore, repeat if Sand Attack has no effect. That is the first time I considered strategy in Pokemon. Wow. Also the first time in a few years I thought about Pokemon.

Seems like a good idea, but I don't think it is absolutely needed. How about being able to put custom counters on there, like showing your current attack or defence level, so you can know when you need to re-pot. By my guess there is enough room for 7 counters in total. At the moment, there are 3, 4 for members. Hitpoints, Prayer, Energy, then Summoning for Members. Maybe even be able to show how much money you have in your inventory, the total available points of healing from food in your inventory, making a custom skill goal (Could be a separate update that is integrated later) and it's percentage is tracked. All of these are tiny conveniences, yet I still don't think they add up to something that would make the energy by Jagex worth the result.

No. EDIT: I guess I am obligated to tell you why. There is no need for horses. We already have a ton of ways to get around, mainly teleports, and horses would be a waste of programming when Jagex's time could be spent on more valuable things, like quality quests or patching up the graphical mistakes from RSHD. I still have my hair poking through my mime mask. Oh, and your suggestion was just "Make a quest, give us horses", not "This is an idea for a quest with all requirements, basic plot, the structure for the horse-travelling system, and any levels needed to use the travelling system".

I never use my not Live account anymore, though I wish I could transfer it's gamerscore to my new acc. Agreed, I racked up a good 500 points from COD3 before I got Live. Now I can't stand the game after playing COD4 and Halo 3.

And Bull Pen isn't all that fun to me. The on time I played it, the most fun I had was exploiting a mistake of whoever made the map, in that they left on of the boxes set to not start on the map. If I had grenades or someone else with me, I was able to get outside. Kind of funny listening to all of the people yelling at me to get back down.

Foreign aid is useless (Would give source but I don't feel like getting it from my friend, who I had to do a debate with on the topic) A world-wide child-limit of 2 should be enacted upon the entire world. Another world war would be quite beneficial to the entire world. The industrial revolution was possibly the worst event to happen in human history. Sometimes letting a serial killer or two pass by intentionally wouldn't be so bad. Sometimes I consider the career path of serial killer. I have probably considered/planned the death of everyone I know. Insanity would be welcomed - Get out of jail free cards are hard to come by. Law is the poison of society, without it we would be much better off. Cavemen were the pinnacle of human evolution. Basically, I would not be surprised to find myself murdering someone. I would elaborate, but the filter evades would take me too long.
