  1. I've always wanted to get around 10-14 people together and see if this one map I made is any good for CTF. Or just play a CTF game in general. I rarely play anything other than Infection when I play custom games, because that's what everyone wants.
  2. Actually women are physically weaker than men (Read my earlier post), but I think we are emotionally stronger. I definitely think we can win arguments better :D Again we're bringing equality up. Equality has nothing to do with hurting each other, it's to do with a persons rights in society, such as the right to vote, the right get get equal pay, etc. Do you realize that in the UK women on average get paid less for doing exactly the same job as the men? The trouble is the real issues regarding equality men haven't a clue about as it doesn't effect them. I do know a lot of men have problems with having a female boss, and that's something they just gotta get over. Back on topic now, is it wrong for a man to hit a woman? Now lets clear things up, people have stated No, not if she's coming at you with a knife or we're in a war situation (We do have female soldiers you know). But I don't think the original poster was referring to these situations, you get a lot of drunken violence in the evenings in clubs and pubs, and NO it's not ok to hit ANYONE, regardless if it's a girl or a guy. There is something nobody has mentioned yet that happened to my friend. Domestic violence. Her husband was using physical and emotional tactics to hurt her and keep her in check. She went from being a very out going, happy bubbly girl to a complete introvert. If she ever spoke up he would beat up on her, he kept calling her fat when in fact she was very skinny reducing her self esteem to nothing. it took her 2 years to admit to anyone this was going on and to get out of the relationship. Please don't say "She could have walked away anytime" because it's not like that. This is wrong, It's a classic case where a man could use his strength over a woman. I know it happens the other way around and that too is totally unacceptable, but it's more common that men are more violent, admit it, it's in your hormones! Talking of hormones, I brushed on that subject earlier. We don't realize how much they play in our everyday life! Men are fueled by Testosterone (Androgens), these are responsible for amongst other things, muscle mass, Libido and aggression. Men get a constant stream of these all the time, so you're used to it and can usually control yourselves. Women on the other hand do have testosterone produced in the body but only a fraction of that of men, if we didn't have any testosterone we would have no libido at all! But generally the estrogen keeps the testosterone in check, except for that annoying part in the month where estrogen levels drop causing an imbalance and our emotional levels go crazy. And no it's not just because we're a moody bunch, we simply can't help it :P. The other thing is, we get more horny when we drink alcohol, and that's because alcohol has a sort of dampening effect on our estrogen levels allowing testosterone to do it's stuff, that plus the general effect of alcohol is a crazy combination. Lets face it, you guys are better at dealing with testosterone than we are, and women are drinking to excess much more which may account for the rise in violent girls in pubs we're seeing these days.[/hide] I agree with your reasoning on testosterone and alcohol, but you also contradicted yourself there. You say that you consider women emotionally stronger, yet you turn around and say that your emotions go out of whack when you drink alcohol/that certain time of the month? To me that makes no sense. I don't think that you can claim that those are physical factors that lead to the shift in emotions, because in the end, it's still a much more dramatic shift than what men experience. I think that I need to change my previous post a bit. I hit guys more often, and a woman/girl very little. Why? I'd say it's because of society's impact on me. I don't want to be viewed as something negative, so I won't do things that get negative views attributed to me. Also, I'm not real good friends with many girls/woman, so I don't find myself in a situation where I would hit one (As in a friendly punch. The best way to describe it would be brotherly). Still, I think my previous statement stands. I will hit a male or female, and in the exact same situation, I would try to achieve the same effect. If it's intimidation, I may only threaten a female where I would punch a male, but I think they would achieve the same effect, so they are equal in my view.
  3. Wow, that is several counts of intent to kill. It's not your principals fault, it's the law enforcement. Your principal should have had no sway in that matter. Just bringing in a gun is one thing, there's no guarantee that it will be used, but the fact that this occurred after he was caught with a hit list means that if he wasn't caught, there likely would have been a shooting. Either that, or the kid was going to threaten the people on the list. Either way there should have been some sort of punishment more than getting transferred. You get transferred for something like getting in a fist fight. I would have complained/protested (Not protest as in picketline protest) against the decision, you probably could have changed it.
  4. I'm friends with that kid. We have on hell of a time in class, talking about how we would go about our murderous rampage if we were to be overcome by a terminal illness, building a rocket launcher (He actually did build one, but his parents won't let him build the rocket), and just random stuff. Oh, and he (Or more the internet) taught himself calculus. Nobody really cares that he's weird, he's pretty damn funny. I might consider myself that kid too, but I can't be sure. I'll let others do that.

The problems also could have just been from horrible lag since my good computer's graphic card ended up being incompatible with the game. So I ended up with the bad version, and I refused to play with graphics set to lowest settings because then the game looked absolutely horrible. But still, I just don't like FPS on a computer, I'm too used to a console.
  6. It's hilarious since I was on the same carousel a few weeks ago Only difference is that I pissed off the person in charge of the ride by trying to ride it backwards
  7. Dude, what part of Toronto? I'm in Scarborough. I just like referring to Canada as the Great North. Xbox Live in one of the territories? You make me laugh. Dude, you're so close to me then. Sweet.

Ouch, I remember when i just barely pulled it off with like 0.1 seconds left lol Nice. I have actually discovered that Halo for PC sucks. I [illegally] downloaded it and couldn't stand the campaign or multiplayer. You... PIRATE! (Pssst, I did the same lolz) I actually would have been willing to buy it had it been good, there were issues with multiplayer for me that I think I can attribute to it being an illegal copy.

  10. I can't remember the exact name of the drug I used to take, I think it was (Apo) Minocycline or something, but it was in the same family as tetracycline. Had to take on an empty stomach also. The reason I'm not taking it is because 2 weeks after I have started taking it, I get what's called Serum Sickness. Symptoms? Hives. Lots and lots of Hives. Oh god that had to be the worst week of my life. I slathered my back with some pink lotion - which actually helped quite a bit initially - and at one time I couldn't sleep it was so bad. I got lucky it was winter, when I was outside the cold numbed my back and I barely noticed the hives. I decided to stay in side anyways. I never want to experience that again. Oh, and whoever linked to that "zit popping guide", I think that is nothing more than a way to lure you into buying their product. Popping a zit WILL do damage, no matter what you do, there's a reason it's no recommended by medical professionals. Also, that would be good if you had, say 2 pimples on your face. Other than that it would just be too tedious. Worst place for a pimple (To me)? Hairline. No reason, I just hate that I always have them there. Also, for some reason I think it would be cool if all of my acne simultaneously popped. I don't know why either, I kind of like the feeling, either that or it's just my habit of acne-picking.
  11. I like reading, might drop by every once in a while, but role-playing doesn't appeal to me.
  12. He can't understand why Nu Metal is appealing to some just like I can't understand how Metal along the lines of Cattle Decapitation is appealing to some people. I mean, that band is just garbage. Sorry, but if I can't understand a word that comes out of your mouth than please just shut up. Talking excessively about gore and the like does not make you cool either, it makes you psychologically unstable. I'll be waiting for the murder spree.

  16. I sir, challenge you to a duel the day you get your Xbox back. I'm actually serious, and do you know the trick to being able to swing your sword faster? It's not that BXB glitch though.

Halo:CE - Best Storyline of any game I've ever played. I gotta borrow my friend's disc soon. Or at least manage to finish the final level with him :XD: Seriously, we've been off by a couple of seconds a few times...
  18. I hurd u sea mudkipz. Was Ben just too lazy to make the thread himself?
  19. I think it would be possible to do, and just because they're releasing it as a console game doesn't mean that it's the only way you can play it. I'm sure that if they made a multiplayer console RS, it would share online with computer users. The only difference would be the control scheme. Actually, if it was to be based in the PS3's internet browser, it technically wouldn't be a console game, just playable on the PS3. The control scheme would probably end up similar to WoW's, with movement control by the left control stick, mouse the right, right-click would be right trigger, and so on. I think it could be figured out fairly easily.
  20. Actually, it was outright mentioned in the book. Unless you think a princess can also be a guy.
  21. People have things to do, Falador Libraries to see, and some have school starting. All will take time away from here I know, I still don't like it.
  22. I'll start off with, are you from Canada/Ontario, because I have a 40 hr volunteer requirement to get my diploma too. Really, though I used to go just because my parents made me. I wouldn't mind going right now, one because, like you, I do enjoy choir music, and another reason because I really don't know that much about the religion and if I'm going to get into a scientific/religious debate, I really need to know about the religion that will be brought up the most. Also, The Life of Pi pretty much planted an idea in me that I only just recognized. Religion isn't about understanding the universe, it's main purpose is to give people hope and keep them together, or as the book describes it love. So, while you can claim that religion has done so many wrongs in this world, that isn't religion, that is the followers of religion. I am proudly agnostic and confident that I will never truly understand the universe. If I am given the choice to understand it, I will turn that knowledge down because life will lose all meaning to me. Just something I thought I should add
  23. Currently, I'm supposed to be using "Dalacin T - Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Solution USP 1%" It's a liquid in a bottle that has an applicator. I dab it on my back, which is where my acne is most prominent. You also have to realize that there are two kinds of acne - surface acne and below the skin. The majority of mine is below the skin, meaning that I will get bumps, and they will only turn red and inflamed if I pick at them. Unfortunately, I have developed that habit because I always need to be doing something, I can't just sit still and watch TV - thus why I have taken to video games and computer so well, my hands are always kept busy typing or playing - so I end up picking at my acne. Anyways, this lotion or whatever you want to call it works great for me when I actually manage to remember to use it for more than a week. My acne all but disappeared for a month or so when I didn't change my daily routine. Now that school will be starting, I will probably get a routine that will not change at all, so I'm expecting my acne to completely disappear. Oh, and any acne treatment you use, you'll be using until your 19-21, so I'd go for something that is the least obtrusive.
  24. Basically, I would treat punching a woman/girl the same way I would treat punching anyone else, based on how much pain I know they can take, and whether they would take that punch as a real punch and not just a playful one. I guess I should mention that I am overall rough. I see women as my equal, so I have no qualms against hitting one. Someone I know and his girlfriend play punch-for-punch, quite funny to see it because she usually wins and it's not like he's scrawny or anything. I personally think that it is a bit sexist to think that hitting a woman/girl is wrong, whereas they can hit a guy all they want and probably get away with it. Damn double-standards. Oh, and I also think that some clarification is needed. Are we talking about hitting someone with intent to injure, or playful? I will hit a woman if I need to get the point across that I'm angry and she is the cause. Not hard, but enough that it will hurt her just enough to get that point across. I apply the same philosophy to a guy. However, I will only resort to that when words do nothing and I am not able to leave. Or if they punch me first, then I see a punch back as completely open.
  25. Must say that I like your writing style. And the whole hyper-active talk in between chapters. Somehow I either managed to skip past the last half of 1.5 or completely forget reading it, because I was about to say that the chapter ended rather abruptly  I'm guessing that the main character is female? Or was that outright mentioned in the book. If not, it could just be the massive amounts of pink and purple I see in your sig and avvy.
