Abortion
I hope you're talking about the days when the wife had no say-so about her marriage. But still, I don't get your point. How would you feel if you had a sister and she was raped by a creepy 40-year-old pervert? I didn't really come out as clearly as I wanted to. I meant that I don't see why rape is so bad IF it's for children and not pleasure. If that person wants a child, they can go to a sperm bank. You cannot claim that it is for raising the population, the world is already over-populated. Go talk to a rape victim, and ask them if they think that those cases would be acceptable.

I'd actually say that the best way to learn alt strumming is to play Easy/Medium songs and ONLY alt strumming. Then move to harder songs. I also need to mention that I only alt strum on gallops and faster note sequences.

Xbox 360 Live Voicechat
First of all, I'd suggest reading the manual for NCAA 2009 to see if you need to press a button to talk. Next I'd make sure the mic is plugged in, that the mic is un-muted (Should be switched to the right), and that the volume of the headset is turned to full (Rotate the control for that anti-clockwise as far as possible). If that still does not work, go to the Xbox guide, Personal settings, then Voice and Chat. Check that the options are turned on to play voice through the headset, everyone is unmuted, and that your mic is not muted. Finally, if all the previous options are exhausted, go to the Dashboard, go to the System blade, select Family Settings, and make sure that you are allowed to communicate on Xbox Live. Also, are you able to hear others, whether through the speakers of your T.V. or the headset?

Gravity
Actually a black hole is typically a collapsed star, and has no dimensions, but incredible mass, giving it massive density. The gravity is so intense that the escape velocity (The speed you need to reach to escape the pull of gravity) is greater than the speed of light. However, gravity's force weakens over distance, so you get what is called an event horizon. The event horizon is basically a shell around the black hole. On the outer side, the escape velocity is less than the speed of light. Pass through the event horizon and light cannot escape. The event horizon is what actually gives the black hole it's name, since no light is able to escape, so no light comes out. Of course, we will probably never be able to approach the even horizon, because we can't reach any speed close to the speed of light. And the closer you go to a black hole, the greater the chance you will be ripped apart atom-by-atom in a process called spaghetification.

the $100 laptop
You need to give education and make good, stable governments in the areas you want to help. A good, smart government will be able to get the economy back up again, get those people jobs - which they can do because of education - and place a country in a good state. As much money as Bill Gates has donated to charity (I think on the order of $4 billion), I suspect most of that has gone to waste. Slapping a problem with money has little or no positive effect.

What is your view on wealth?
coughparishiltoncough Seriously though, I think that most spoiled kids would know how to make it on their on, because their parents probably taught them the ends of their business. I also have a feeling that if your son or daughter is doing badly, and you are insanely rich and own a company, that you would give them a job at the lower end of your company. You have to realize something, and I'll let my friend's dad explain, "Parents work their [wagon] of so that you don't have to." I think it's true. If you had kids, would you not want them to have a life better than what you have now? No matter how good your life has been, I think the answer is yes.

As far as I know, there are theories, but nothing has been proven. If String Theory manages to pull through, we'll probably get an answer, but until then I think we're in the dark.

Nintendo, A Console For Children.
In lieu of a flamewar, I think I've fed you enough. I'll just go with 4chan's rules of the internet - I'm sure you are quite familiar with them - and quite before I "epically fail". Just a last comment though. I may be a 360 fanboy, I may not. I just don't like it when you go around thinking Nintendo is a God that can do what they want because of their past. That is the reason for the Nixon quote. Nintendo has always been the best video game console/handheld company, but I think they belong more in the handheld market now. Also, they need to develop some original games. Mario, Zelda and Metroid are fun and all, but they can get old. Pokemon too.

Did you know?
That's because of China's population. I don't mean to take things by statistics, but many, many children in China take extra schoolings to get into universities. That just proves how high the competition is because of China's large population. And there will be more English-speaking Chinese because of numbers, you have to give us a ratio to prove there will be more.

Nintendo, A Console For Children.
Exploding at me for asking you what you consider to be the top of the video game industry is definitely the way to destroy me. Actually, it mortified me more than destroyed me. I'll be picking bits of you out of my hair for the next few weeks. Now, to make like Lenin and pick apart your argument. God forbid you actually give some basis for your argument (Oh what a hypocrite I am) The reference to Nixon was just for impact. Also, it actually made sense and doesn't need to be explained. It looks like you might need an explanation though. Nixon did illegal stuff, then went around and claimed that he is innocent because he's the president of the United States, the top of the Government. You claim Nintendo can do whatever they want, because they are the top of the video games market. Sure they can, but they can't without receiving criticism for it, which is what I think you mean. The Wii is a good idea, but they made poor use of the controls. WiiSports is probably the best example I can think of that makes good use of the controls. However, the motion sensing equipment isn't exactly what it should be for a video game of this generation (Or even last generation, which is what the Wii is due to graphics, my basis of the generations). Several times playing at a friend's house, trying to play golf, the game won't react, react the opposite of what I'm doing, or react to such an extreme, when I'm trying to lightly put a ball into the cup the ball goes flying off the green. A new add-on for the controller was announced at E3, which gives from what I see very good control with the Wiimote. I was expecting this kind of accuracy from the beginning, though. I'll get to the actual consoles later, now on to games. Nintendo systems are known for having a slew of sub-standard, 3rd-party games being released on their consoles. This was the reason for the video game crash, and I know that it wasn't just Nintendo games. However, you wouldn't actually need anything spectacular to get the market out of that rut. There is next to no competition because of the crash, so Nintendo had the opportunity to make it really big. See, now Microsoft comes along and releases it's first console. This console goes up against the two powerhouses (At the time) of the console gaming industry - Nintendo and Sony. Microsoft has absolutely no advantage - aside from it's experience with computer systems - and certainly is not on a level playing field. Two companies with years of console gaming experience, versus a newbie to market. Yet, the Xbox does pretty well. Not only that, but Xbox Live is released, a first for the consoles. Then comes the second generation. Xbox 360 is quick out the gate with a year-earlier release than the Wii and PS3. Now, the Wii has grabbed the top spot of World-wide and U.S. sales, with eh 360 in second, and Playstation in third. I think we can ignore the PS3 from now on. Yes, Wii has sold more consoles, and I wouldn't be surprised if it sold more games. However, Wii isn't aimed at a specific audience, it's aimed at everyone. That means that the quality of the games, for those in the prime "gaming-age", which I consider to be 15-30, is going to go down. From what I've seen, most of us want fairly fast-paced games, good online support, and good graphics. I don't mean to speak for the world here, but from what I've also seen, heard and read, the Xbox 360 rules in those regions. You can't talk to the other person for Wii online, so it's just like you're playing an advanced AI. The games are often going to be calm games, or remakes of Nintendo's big 3, Mario, Zelda and Metroid. While the games are good, they've been milked so thoroughly that I can probably find better on past systems. As far as graphics go, the Wii does no have the capacity to handle the graphics of games such as Final Fantasy, Halo, Gears of War and Call of Duty. The Xbox 360 does. Now, to hardware and firmware/software. I personally say that the 360 dominates the Wii in this again. A standard 360 now has a 60GB hard drive, previously 20GB. A Wii has 512MB of flash memory. 360 wins 39-fold, and 117-fold. A Wii has a single 729 MHz processor. A 360 has THREE 3.2GHz processors. The 360 has 13 times the processing power of the Wii. The Xbox 360 can play games, movies, music, download videos, games, movies and music, download demos, download trailers, play music off of USB-connected devices, and buy original Xbox games. The Wii can play games and buy backwards-compatible games through the Wii Shop Channel. The Xbox 360 has backwards compatibility with over 500 original Xbox games. The Wii is backwards-compatible with all Official Nintendo Gamecube Titles. Xbox 360 is $349.99 at FutureShop.ca Nintendo Wii is $269.99 as FutureShop.ca As far as I'm concerned, the 360 wins. It offers much superior technology and service, for an albeit greater, but better price taking into account the capabilities of each system. The RRoD is, according to Microsoft, fixed on all new consoles. That 3-year warranty has covered RRoD issues up until now. I know I'm downplaying the effect of the RRoD, but I have never had it, so I don't know how bad it is. Now, I would like a reasoning behind those Bush-360 jokes, along with some proofreading on your part. Oh, and a mop to clean up that mess you made earlier. I fail to see any connection between Bush and the 360. the 360 is quite popular world-wide, Bush is definitely not. The 360 managed to pull a profit, Bush created the greatest financial deficit in the United States of America's history. And learn some good jokes. You're just spouting 4chan humour there. All facts I gathered regarding system specs and sales figures have been through Wikipedia.

Nintendo, A Console For Children.
Funny, I remember Nixon saying something similar. What was it,"It's not illegal if you're the president", or something along those lines? Big deal if Nintendo 'fixed' the video game crash. That has nothing to do with the console they put out now. I'm not saying I think it's inferior - I quite enjoy WiiSports at a friend's house - but I think there are a few things it needs to work on, like any console. It also seems to me that you are too much of a Nintendo fanboy to judge other fanboys. What is the top of the games industry, anyways? You have to remember that the Xbox 360 is only Microsoft's second console, it's not like they're going to get it perfect the first couple of tries. Even with that said, the 360, in my opinion, is quite the console for the second generation from Microsoft. Nintendo has pretty average online support from what I've heard, PS3 has okay online, and what I consider to be fairly mediocre exclusive games for the most part, whereas the 360 has probably the best online out of the 3 consoles and games that appeal to my interests, however the hardware malfunctions (Which I have never experienced, despite having a console that is vulnerable to RROD) are probably the biggest downfall of the console. Basically, the 360 fits my life better than any of the other consoles, although I would like to get a Wii for the Mario, Zelda and Metroid games. Also, another bad point I have against the 360 is that it tries to copy Sony and Nintendo at times, several times. Either way, Microsoft has built the superior console for me, with the Wii next in line, followed by the Nintendo 64. I've just never really liked Playstation in any way for gaming.

I think it's the flatness of you province having an effect on your reasoning and thinking. You see nothing but farms for miles; that would drive me insane too. I jest. I still find it weird that you seem like a normal kid who lives in Saskatchewan. I mean, I expect everyone there be to farm boys and whatnot, same with Alberta (That, or you end up like my one friend).

Is God real post your thoughts!
I've chosen to remain agnostic because of the fact that there are so many religions, it's unlikely any of them would be right. The only thing I won't dispute is the existence of beings on a higher level of existence. I am not an atheist because over all the years of our existence, the best answer we have to explain our universe is religion. Logic? If Gods, then logic goes out the window. What cannot be explained by logic is now explained. What can only be explained by incredible improbabilities is now given a tilt in it's favour. There is too much uncertainty in our world to rely on logic to explain things. I don't know if there is any mention of it, but the best scientific argument I can think of against Religion is String Theory, which doesn't even disprove Religion, if anything it will prove Religion through the disparity of proving String Theory. We could be made of multi-dimensional strings, but those could have been created by a God. Oh, Logic also disproves the Big Bang Theory. There was 'nothing' that exploded into something. According to Science, matter cannot be created out of nothing, so that matter had to come from somewhere. But where did that matter come from, and so on. It's like how God is said to have created himself. He can't create himself if he didn't exist, so that is untrue. I see a God as a guiding up the evolutionary path, twisting fates in it's favour. I will never know how everything we know was created, nor do I want to. Knowing would give me nothing I could use practically, and that is the kind of knowledge I want: practical, applicable knowledge.

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Discussion thread
I find tapping trills is just ridiculous. I just move my hand down so I play the trill with my fore- and middle-fingers. Versus my friend who taps them, I win because the transition is just so much faster. It is also physically impossible for me to tap. My arm is so long that elbow strumming is out of the question, and using my forearm is very awkward. The only way I've managed to tap (TTFAF) is I hold green with my right hand and play with my left. It's hared for me since my fingers are often lazy and I don't release fast enough. Being 6'2" has it's drawbacks.
