  1. According to certain people, it is either simple, or apparently copies the plot of Star Wars. I fail to see this, but I'm sure that N0M has some insight into why he considers this book so bad. This is one sweet start of the week for me. First I rediscover my favourite song, I learn about this, I remember one awesome science project I did, find out just how funny the Bungie.net podcasts are, and TU2 is coming for Halo 3 tomorrow. I have way too much to be excited about. Also, first football game Thursday.
  2. Social Code Rise Against Streetlight Manifesto Catch 22 Children of Bodom Pantera Sublime Atmosphere The Flatliners NoFX No way I can order these. Social Code has my absolute favourite song, Beautiful. I cannot get enough of this song, and am just absolutely stoked that I found it after trying to find it again after a few years.

Geez, you're like the SaidinWoT of Rock Band Drums. I'm one of those few Rock Banders (I also play drums mostly, because I have Guitar Hero 2&3 for Guitar), and I'd say I'm decent. As in, I can pass Hard drums if I tried hard enough. Anyways, I'm loving how the Career mode was set up for Rock Band. Much less linear than Guitar Hero, which is just, here is a set of songs, play them to unlock the next five. This is, you need x number of stars and fans to unlock this venue, which has some new songs, but you might still be playing old ones. Bsaically, you aren't bored of the old songs, but neither are you swamped with new ones. The progression is nice for me. And you can do World Tour Solo, along withthe Challenges. The setlist ain't too shabby either. By that, I mean I love the setlist.
  4. If you don't care abour an extra $40+tax, get the Pro console. Saying you can upgrade later is stupid, you end up wasting about $50 that way. The only difference between the Premium and Pro Consoles is 40GB greater harddrive space for Pro. This is only $40 more, and right now there are two harddrives that are sold seperately from the Xbox, a 20GB and a 120GB. That 20GB one is $99.99, and the 120GB is $209.99.
  5. Title Update 2 is Live in less than 24 hours, anyone else excited? I WANT MY ACHIEVEMENTS.
  6. That just proves my point even further, GH:IV will just be a RB2 copy.
  7. No internet for only two days and you go crazy  I just find it funny because I sometimes go a week or two without internet, because I got up to my cottage, where there is no internet.
  8. What Emu are you talking about, Project64?
  9. No need to apologize, just show up for next weekend (Except for MC, forgot you said you won't play H3). Yeah, and Frag, I was thinking of delaying it by an hour, but decided to try 9 p.m. GMT.
  10. I'm experiencing the exact same speed for loading a page, the low/mid 0.2s range, with a few jumps to 0.5s We'll see if this speed is constant, because at times I've had a load time of 5s before. If it makes things better for others, then I guess it's worth it. EDIT: Actually, it looks like my load time is cut in half. While it is barely noticeable, according to the information at the bottom, my load time has been cut down by .1s, to 0.1-0.09s.
  11. RB2's tracklist is definitely better. It has what looks to be about 10-17 of the same songs. Here are the songs I consider good from RB2: [hide=26 Songs]1. Let There Be Rock - AC/DC 2. Tool - "Vicarious"[/hide] Underlined songs are already available on Rock Band 2, on disc or through DLC. Really, if I were to be getting GH:IV, I'd just be getting a substitute for Rock Band, but with 16 songs I'm actually interested in. I really think that the Guitar Hero franchise needs to either really rethink what they're doing, or just go and let the series die. Seriously, GH:IV only has one thing going for it right now, and that's making your own song, but from what I saw in the trial of it at E3 or something, they could have implemented it a lot better (Choose a sound for the guitar, use whammy to set the tone of each note, just pressing down on the note makes it set. Notes click in to the closest beat that you set). I could be wrong though, but to me it just looks overly-complicated.
  12. It ended up falling apart about an hour after we started, can't really remember when you left though. I'm kind of disappointed that some people didn't show up, mainly because I thought everyone but rushrock was going to make, which would've been awesome. Oh well, was still fun.
  13. Good, because I just got Rock Band 2, and I'll be playing that, except for tomorrow of course. Another thing I want to do is have a sticking/no scope war. An empty Foundry is perfect for it, and it's lots of fun.
  14. Depends on the competition.

I don't that re-downloading or buying any version of Halo:CE for PC would be worth my time/money. Since my brother took the computer that the pirated copy would work on, I don't think there is anyway for me to play, short of getting a different graphics card. Compatibility issues suck.
  16. While I'll be wrapping you two up and selling to the paying customers. No real play list of games, aside from swords. I am thinking of making a map for swords. Just something very simple, a double-stacked wall measuring 4 boxes long x 4 boxes wide. Spawns set at the midpoints of walls and the corners. Maybe even a centroid spawn point for the fun of it. That's if we want to have an arena-style map. If not, I just say Snowbound or The Pit. Maybe even Guardian.
  17. We are intelligent. However, we get our intelligence through electrical signals passing through our brains. Those neurons/chemical reactions that produce the electrical signals are therefore the source of our intelligence. Does this not mean that these cells themselves are intelligent? Also, the molecules that make up those cells must therefore be intelligent, or have some form of computational ability, because it's not like you can create intelligence. If I go back through this logic, then every bit of matter is intelligent. I think this makes sense, and that the only reason things act the way they do consistently is because they are instinctively accustomed to the idea. Really though, a virus knows to seek out a specific type of cell, to attack and manipulate that cell's genes, thus propagating the virus. A regular old cell knows to keep out certain substances. It knows when it needs water, when it has too much, and when it needs to do something. So that happens because of it's genes. It still knows how to do something, when to do it, and when not to do it. I really just find this idea fascinating. Another thing I find fascinating is light. Why can one object appear white, but the exact same object appear black. Why are there more than 2 colours, black and white. Why are there not more colours than we have. Is it possible to have more colours. Is the light really coloured, or is it just that our eyes are able to decipher the different wavelengths of light. Idea: Objects in reality have no colour, just a tendency to absorb and reflect certain wavelengths. It is our eyes that assign certain colours to each wavelength. I have a very good feeling that, except for black/white, we all do see different colours. Nothing serious as if colours were reversed, but still a slight variation. Makes perfect sense to me, after all, every other part of us is different than the person next to us, why not what we see?
  18. Any reason you don't want to get billed next month? And I guess that brings down the count of who can play down to 8. I think that is actually the perfect number for any Halo 3 game. Enough for Team Slayer, Infection, Objective games, a full BTB team, fills up Mutli-team and still good for FFA. Although I would prefer more TIF members either way.
  19. The poll for is for second Game Night on Friday, which will be hosted by limpbizkit, not for replacing the current one. And thanks to Lionheart_0 for getting the poll to work. EDIT: And now the title ended up wrong, so more re-trying. RE-EDIT: Finally up and running properly. More thanks to Lionheart. mrpez, are you even planning on attending?
  20. Shadowfax still has the best nickname - Mr. Leaf, given to him by my friend. Oh, and the poll is bugged, please don't vote at the moment, it may just make it harder for the moderator trying to work things out. Sorry fraggature, but seeing as you're the only Aussie I know of that will be coming, you luck out on the time.
  21. Yet I've bought 36k willow logs by accident...

Probably scratches very often, the 360 is meant to be left at a 45 degree angle, only vertical or horizontal, preferably horizontal. And MLB, I consider you a troll in this thread now for asking why you even own a 360. Besides, I'm sure that if my PS3 tipped over, I would be pissed off no matter what, there's still potential for damage. I would never own a PS3 simply because I hate the controller. It is way to sensitive, small, and the position of the left thumb stick and d-pad is horrible to me. I can deal with a heavier controller, it's not like I can't lift 500 grams. Now, to actually help you out, you will need to either buy a new game, or use Microsoft's Disc Replacement program, which costs you around $20 to replace your disc. You mail in 90+% of the disc, and they mail you a brand new one back. Fortunately for me, EB Games is awesome and replaces my stuff if I had bought a $3 warranty when I bought it. Already saved me a couple hundred dollars due to my Guitar Hero guitars breaking, along with having scratched 2 discs beyond playability (Same scratches as yours).
  23. Of course I do not mean to be playing the same thing the whole night. We'll just have a main event that will actually be planned for, and once we get bored, switch it up. Also, I myself and utterly tired of Infection games. Maybe one or two, but only if they are original (Hehe, originality and the internet, I kid myself). And if we do get anymore than 6 people, there is no way I'm passing up the chance to play some custom game Slayer or Objective game types. Also, rather than have one person stay party leader to entire night, the party leader position will be juggled around. It is mandatory that Party options stay at "Invite Only". If you are asked to give up party leader by Me or more than half of the party, please do so. If you do not, then you will not be included in the next Game Night, and possibly further Game Nights.

1 - http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/live/xbox360/goodasgold.htm or http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/live/xbox360/xbox360subscriptionplan.htm 2 - Subscription (And Ethernet cable if you need one to connect from your Xbox to modem.) 3 - http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/live/ I would recomend finding something here, but I do not believe if you get XBL for the 360 that it works on Original Xbox. But, if you had Xbox Live for Original Xbox, then in would work for 360. You misinterpret his post. He asks if there is any special gateway that he needs to buy (Not an ethernet cable or Membership) in order to play. No, all you need is an internet connection. The membership cost varies depending on how long a membership you buy at a time. Generally, a One-month membership is $10/month, and if you buy a full year, it costs only $60, which averages out to $5/month. You can buy a membership online (Through a computer or your xbox) with a credit card, or go to a gaming store and buy a membership card, which gives you a code that you then enter into your xbox to redeem a membership.
