Sure, I know where all the terminals are. Do you know how long you have to wait? Because I'm not taking you through it twice...... How long I have to wait? I have to read through the terminal until it ends with a FRAGMENT ENDS or something like that. I'd love some help on this tonight, so meet me on XBL if you're interested. Guides - Full of pure win. http://uk.cheats.ign.com/ob2/068/734/734817.html But I'm doing it after ive got the 30 cog tags .. Prob be tomorrow depending on if I'm doing gears insane. I'm surprised that you don't already have all 30 COG tags. I also wish my Gears disc wasn't scratched, I will always complain about that until Gears 2 comes out.

What keeps you coming back?
A certain group of people around here is defnitely the reason for it. I was drawn to Off-Topic because I never liked General Discussion, and when Bugs and Suggestions got old, I decided to check out some of the forums I usually had not interest in. So I found Off-Topic, and have loved it evver since. Now I have branched out to some sub-forums, like VG&C (Most posts has changed from Bugs & Suggestions to VG&C).

Crappiest NON-COMPUTER Game you've ever played?
I would like to see why people consider the Halo series to be so bad. I mean, if hundreds of thousands of people play it daily, they have to be doing something right. The worst game I have actually played to judge... I know people will kill me for this, but I have to say Golden Eye. For the time it was made, it was awesome. Awesome enough that me and my brother played it constantly. It was the second most played game for me and my brother, next to Super Smash Bros. (The best out of the series tbh). However, I can't say it is good compared to games nowadays. It could be the control scheme, or the aiming (I either can't remember how to aim and walk at the same time, or you can't do it), but most of all I'd say it's the graphics. Now, this is one of those games that I wish would be remade in the truest sense, just given a face lift and maybe a control fix. You also have to remember, this is of the games I've played. From my memory, I've loved every game I have played (How the hell could you not beat Superman 64, me and my brother did it easily), that being said, I stay away from movie games, except when I know they have turned out well (Spiderman for Xbox was amazing, one of my favourites). I played the first and last of the LOTR triology games, the ones that had the books' names. Despite the clear simplicity of the Return of the King's gameplay, it was still fun. I mean, you get to play as Gandalf and Gimli. Two favourite characters for the series (Bandwagon [garden tool]!). Worst game I haven't played, no clue actually. Probably Eragon. A game about a movie about a book that copies the storyline of Star Wars. Definitely original. I mean, the movie didn't even manage to get parts of the book right.

Gears of War 2
You can. Good, that'll make it be a lot easier, plus Horde will make it much easier. I'm sure there's a level where all you do is mow down enemies with a Gatling.

WoW Gamer Has 36 Accounts, Raids by Himself...
I think he would be smart and level atleast 8-12 at a time. If he can manage 11 computers, I'm sure he can manage "just" 2-4.

You have to wait until after the beeping and red encrypted text. Then once you get something you can read again, you should be done. For safe measure I scroll down to the bottom of each page (Press 'A', also including the initial text you get at the start of each Terminal). Remember, there's also that Terminal on Halo that I never really thought counted as one until I helped out my friend and found out otherwise.

Gears of War 2
Dammit, they kept online achievements in. Also, 100,000 kills is a bit much... I'm hoping you can get in campaign.

the playstation 4, super wii and xbox 720
[hide=] This is mainly because of the tons and tons of people with PS2s, and Sony still making PS2 games. Considering that Sony is a huge company that does way more than consoles, I seriously doubt this. Also, Sony was on top for a long time, they just made the mistake of a 400-500 dollar console. Screw blu-ray, and then they would have had a 200 dollar console that sells like wrapping paper in December. PS> Calling someone an idiot for trying to post something productive? Come on guys, you're being a little harsh. His statement wasn't the smartest thing I've seen, but still, give the guy a break. [/hide] Wasn't the whole point of PS3 a Blu-ray player? I mean, it has some pretty hefty specs, but blu-ray is what allows it to use that. I mean, without that it's just a souped-up 360 that wouldn't be able to reach it's potential. Hell, I don't think it will reach it's potential even with the blu-ray. Want to know what makes a PS3 better than a 360? Blue-ray. 360 games are limited to a 20gb disc space, I think it might even be less than that. Blue-ray discs can store up to 80gb of data. A four-disc set for the 360 is a regular disc for the PS3.

I'm actually expecting it to be about a week from when I ship it out. I know not to get my hopes up, but the place it's getting shipped to is actually fairly close.

WoW Gamer Has 36 Accounts, Raids by Himself...
I dear hope he has a life outside of WoW. Really though, there's a reason MMO's are so addicting. They're usually decent games, but you get the social interaction along with the game. That's kind of the point of them. Doing this, not treating it as a MMO, is truly no-lifing it. Atleast most common no-lifers have a life inside the game. Yes though, that set-up is amazing, and I would love to know how much that cost him. Especially since it looks like he haas four WoW games running off of some laptops, wouldn't that require a damn good laptop? I mean, I don't think most laptops can even run WoW properly on lowest settings, let alone four. At least this guy can say he's crazy good at management...

Yep, M$ will do anything to avoid paying for your Xbox repairs, even though half the time they don't repair it and just send in a new one. Which is much better than a repair.

Halo Discussion thread
Oh shi- RRoD :( Holy crap M$ customer support sucks. Second time I've called them, second time the person has made me want to kill them. It also seemed like the person was trying to shift the blame for the RRoD onto me, by asking, after everything had been done and the repair order made, if I had my Xbox hooked up to a surge protector, and whether I leave my Xbox plugged in the entire time. Now I just have to wait for my repair order to be processed and I get the shipping instructions e-mailed to me. What makes me angrier though is the fact that I have several friends who have gotten the RRoD. They all had boxes mailed to them so they could send their 360 in. Me? I get e-mailed shipping instructions, and something to do with getting free shipping. Now I have to find the right size box, pack it with foam, and then send it to them. I'm considering sending it in several boxes, one inside another, just to piss them off. The only problem is that my 360 is at risk here. When all is said and done, I'm hoping that my 360 is replaced. If they don't give me back a new one, I have a feeling there is still a risk of the RRoD. The real [bleep] is that I'm out an Xbox for 3-4 weeks.

Anti Drug Commercials
I am just an interested. If anything, I would assume it's going up. And if those facts are true, I doubt that the cause is ads. Most likely it's because the drugs were made illegal. On top of that, I cannot believe that alcohol use is going down. Not when I can probably name two or three parties a week that would have massive amounts of underage drinking.

A sociology-vocab question.
I think that this is a very common thing. To put it in pretty much the same terms as you did, you think someone is your best friend, in fact you are utterly convinced that the relationship is mutual in that regards. Then through some sort of incident you find you that they really couldn't care what happened to you. andufus, may I ask exactly how much you see said person and hang out with him/her? I mean, if you are around this person a lot, I can see why they would think so, if not, then I'm going to be assuming that this person doesn't have very many friends if someone they don't see often would be considered their best friend.

Happiness
I can wholeheartedly agree with you on this. That was simply amazing, and pretty much unified any thoughts I have about the subject of happiness. I would just like to add one thing, you make yourself happy, because no one else can do that for you. Not your loved one, not you friend, not your teacher, not your boss, happiness is all about yourself. A loved one isn't someone who makes you happy, it's someone whose happiness further amplifies your own. Also, you have a degree/study something to do with psychology, don't you? Biggest tip off is Either way, amazing post. And dsavi, thanks for recommending this should be read ;)

Mechscape - the new Jagex game
Me too...My brain is telling me the Heroes logo thing but that's not exactly right. I can see the similarities... But I still think it's something else. Either that or I've seen the Mechscape logo before, but just didn't care.

Good to see them get a win to start the season. At least that's one positive that I can point out...

What's the most important lesson you have ever learnt?
Never rely on some else to make you happy, only you can do that; love isn't about finding someone else that can make you happy, it's about finding someone you can be happy with. That has been my view on things since this past summer, and I've been happy since.

I know that first gen nanos can be modded, I know someone who has one that is modded. And trust me, if the internet cares enough, it can be done.

Tokyo Game Show 2008
God, Bungie better have the best game comeing out then. I even have to choose between Halo Wars or Halo 3: Recon. Maybe I have to save my money closer to that day. Halo 3 will be dead longggggggg before then. Why do you keep praying/preaching the demise of Halo? I mean, I know you don't like the game, but just leave it be, you act as if every game that is released on the 360 will be better.

Recommend an artist/band to the poster above you
I know your tastes, and apparently they don't coincide with mine. Closest thing I will recommend is Ministry, although I'm fairly sure you already know about them, I think this because of your dictionary of metal. If you have heard of Ministry, something that is pretty much just punk, The Arrogant Sons of [Guns]. I'm kind of looking for something to try out my brother's new Bose earbuds, to see if they are worth the $130. Basically, songs with high bit rates and lots of variance. Heavy bass, but also higher notes. This is musical taste aside, I'm looking for pure sound quality. EDIT: If you feel up for it, I'll also take some punk or ska recommendations.

Halo Discussion thread
I was going to post "Get on. Now." But I forgot my brother's using the TV that the Xbox is hooked up to. In other news: I'm hoping that this is a full-fledged campaign, and that campaign is the focus, especially since they might as well be porting the matchmaking system from Halo 3. Yeah, there's new maps for it, yeah, everything is from the ground-up, but it's built using Halo 3's engine, or I would assume this means that it is going to be an easier project. I do like the idea of a more tactical Halo 3 though. Might as well just be a large expansion tbh. Oh, and while I am definitely looking forward to Gears and Fable 2, I don't think the two will kill Halo. As far as I can tell, Gears 2 is just Gears 1, but with a meat shield and maybe three or four new weapons. Then Fable 2 is a completely different genre. If other RPG's, Gears and CoD4 weren't able to stop Halo 3 from becoming so big, I don't think just another two on top of the pile will. You also have to remember, I am anxiously awaiting these games, Fable and Gears 2 look awesome. However, when it comes to purely social play, Halo 3 still looks more appealing. I don't want to be playing an MMO-esque RPG when I can be playing an FPS with so many different ways of playing.

Starting to Smoke
Wait, you're asking whether cigarettes are bad for your health? I find it hard to believe that someone, especially someone your age, doesn't know the health risks of smoking. I don't think I need to quote anything, smoking has been strongly linked to lung cancer and other diseases of the lungs. Also, I don't think it actually relieves stress. If you need a stress relief, find a sport/hobby that involves a lot of physical involvement. It might just be me, but having to focus my energy on a sport always relieves my stress. Also, I would stay away from competitive sports, there's a possibility they will just cause more stress.
