CLEAN Funny Picture Thread ~new rules, read first post~
Turtlefemm replied to RSBDavid's topic in Off-Topic
At this time, we regret to inform you that the administrators have come to a decision that a funny pictures thread will no longer be allowed. While we realize that some of you are genuinely good about remaining within our forum rules, there are many who simply refuse to keep their images clean and post things that break the rules regularly. We have been very lenient and have given many opportunities for this topic and it has been a constant battle to keep the rulebreaking garbage out of every attempted thread. To those of you who have consistently remained within the rules, we are sorry to take this from you, but those who insisted on posting inappropriate content over and over have caused this action to be taken. Thank you, ~Turtlefemm on behalf of the tip.it moderators and the administrative team. -

Private boards for players from the same country?
Turtlefemm replied to Gamerr's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Private boards for different countries would serve only to separate users from one another, causing unnecessary tension. The idea for possible public forums for different countries is an interesting one, but people would need to realize that even if they have forums to discuss their own country's news, etc. they would still be bound by the English only rule that we have here at Tip.it forums. All users would be allowed access to those forums. If you are interested in the possible creation of a forum which could have subforums added for specific countries, we can certainly discuss among the administrators to see if it is a feasible idea. ~Turtlefemm Tip.it Administrative Team -
Tip.It Times Presents: The Plight of the Safe Spot
Turtlefemm replied to Turtlefemm's topic in General Discussion
Ohh.. I don't suppose you would do a screenie of that? I have avoided taverly dungeon like the plague on my alternate, because I could not find a safe spot after the changes. Granted, I was a little freaked out at like level 79 with around 50 defense, so I ended up fleeing .. in the wrong direction into the spiders but yeah.. If you have a screenie, I'd love to see it. -
Tip.It Times Presents: The Plight of the Safe Spot
Turtlefemm replied to Turtlefemm's topic in General Discussion
I found this article very well written, and safe spots are definitely something that I use on a regular basis with my alternate character, who is mostly a ranger. I have fairly low defense and it is becoming more and more of a challenge as graphics are updated and certain landmarks that worked well for safe ranging and maging disappear. I don't have a lot of problems with folks stealing my monsters when I use safe spots, but then I'm pretty vigilant with the "one" I always range or mage. I'm ready when it respawns and range will hit faster than a melee'er running to try for it anyway. Most folks are pretty respectful of my wishes when they realize that I'm killing the same creature over and over for slayer. I have to say, I find it disappointing in this, and other articles to see people making negative comments about the article itself, rather than discussing the content. All authors who write for the times are taking time out of their own schedules to give you something to read and enjoy, and while nobody is going to like every single one, there is no need to bash an author. ~Turtlefemm -
Hello, All! This week we have a great guest article by Vhellcat on the plight of safe spots in Runescape. Enjoy! >>>The Plight of the Safe Spot<<< ~Turtlefemm

After some thought, we've decided that this topic is fine sitting here where it is. While the topic title is in question format, it is definitely a discussion topic and it does concern Runescape friendship. I really love some of the well thought out responses that I have seen here and the topic has great discussion value. To me a good friend is someone who sticks around when you're at your absolute worst point... The one who is still there when you act like a complete idiot... In RS and in the "real world." ~Turtlefemm tip.it administrative team

As far as not responding goes, all of us have been up to our eyeballs dealing with the serious situation going on with the main site as well as taking care of day to day responsibilities. Please don't take it personally, Killerred. It was not meant as a slight to you. Peter and I were able to take time from all of that to work on the more "cosmetic" type things like skins and the custom profile field yesterday, but it has definitely been a busy week at tip.it! From what I remember (to the post about massive blank space) the space was also there when the profile was on the right side of the screen on the prosilver. The new prosilver styles that came in with phpbb3 are really stinkers compared to the old style. I'm like many people who would prefer something less chunky. I know that Peter also added a horizontal scroll bar last night, because there has been an issue with larger images being cut off in posts even before this change. Hopefully, we will be able to come up with some other skins for folks to choose from and make some adjustments that ease the look.

I like them too. Tells me who moderates what. : Guess I'll have to get my arsenal out and go thwomp somebody. :-w  :boohoo: :P (First time in a while that I used several emotes at one shot like that.......) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull Rather than pulling out arsenals, Mr. Devnull, maybe you could take a look at the thread that skatedog111 posted in this thread and read through the reasoning behind the removal of those moderator names. I really don't want anybody to get "thwomped" over this one... :(

Thanks :) Maybe I'm being anal but capitalizing the options would be nice :ohnoes: :geek:

I've created a custom field for RS Type... I'm already using it :D I gave lots of options too, to cover everyone. Hope you like it! And thank you for this suggestion!
