  1. Locked... While funorb is a Jagex created site, it is not Runescape and as such any discussion about it should be in the offtopic section of our forums rather than the "Runescape, General Discussion" section. The fact that you saw it on the front page of Runescape does not make it runescape related. Feel free to recreate your topic in Offtopic. ~Turtlefemm--Tip.it forum moderator

  3. Wow, that is a really nice painting! =D> And the sig is very cool! Great style!
  4. What a nice sig.. I think I like v1, v2 and v3 best, mostly because the color on the face doesn't seem so pale and washed out as in the others. I also like your blending style and find the first three versions a bit more dramatic in color tone, so I prefer them, although that is simply a matter of personal taste, they all look very good.
  5. I have not had any dragons at all assigned to me since the update, but my last (as far back as I remember lol) tasks in order are: 197 waterfiends :wall: 172 abyssal demons 180 aberrant spectres :anxious: 170 waterfiends (cancelled) 145 abyssal demons 132 warped terrorbirds (cancelled) 182 dark beasts 145 dark beasts
  6. : It is really nice to see that so many people actually like helping others. I agree with those who say sometimes it depends on their moods, but on those days when I really don't feel like helping with something that might take too much time, I try to at least be very positive and friendly with a player. They usually are pretty understanding when I tell them no, I can't help then. I do not weigh and judge who deserves to get help from me. I have discovered many nice players buried under a thin outer layer of "plz plz plz" Many of them are simply mimicking what they see others do, and are very young. We are getting younger and younger players and rather than become upset by it, I try to adjust how I deal with them, but always in a positive way. (There are times, of course, that a player is just.. abusive and nasty when I don't feel like taking him across the world and walking him through a quest--those times I generally teleport out, or put him on ignore after politely telling him that acting badly is really not going to get him anywhere at all with me.) I have already said in many places that the trade changes made me sad, because they forced me to change some of the ways that I help folks. But I have adjusted and really there are many things to do that are helpful... My latest small helps have been when my slayer tasks take me to the greater demons and I use brimhaven dungeon. I fight off dogs for other people. Dogs never attack me anymore, and it only takes a short time to clear out a room so that others can get some greaters too. Sharing.. all that.. rather than being selfish... I like that... I'm so glad many of you seem to truly like helping others... ~Turtle

  10. You find yourself flying through the air into a ring of fire where you land on your rear end on top of a button... pressing it... *presses a giant square button*
  11. Yes, it applies to private chat as well. The only private chat option is the quickchat.
  12. Hmm, yes I can see how a quickchat world might be nice for when you simply want quiet, and rather than turn public chat off and have people following you around saying who knows what, you can just do your things in silence for a while without fear of people screaming all over (whether you see it or not) that you're a bad autoing fool or whatever.. It is really just a little strange to me though to be walking around a world that is so silent. I would rather chance some unpleasant interactions on a world where people can talk freely than spend much time on a quick chat world.
  13. :D I missed all of you guys! Tif was a ghost town without everyone! It is so good to have it back online for our community! *Dances around the room like a fool* ~Turtlefemm [hide=]   Just because I love the new hide button![/hide]

  17. I don't have a problem with randoms generally... EXCEPT for the ones who interrupt combat in a highly dangerous situation where it is impossible to fulfill their request at all, because a monster (dragon for example) is continuing to fight the player. I have been whacked on the head by the Sandwich lady while trying my hardest to deal with her and a steel dragon at the same time... There is no logic in having that kind of random in a place where auto-ing is a highly unlikely occurence. I was not thrilled to have to make the trek back to the brimhaven dungeon and pay another fee to get in, because I was physically unable to respond to the Sandwich lady and her demands. I'm not too thrilled when I get Dr. Jeckyl in there either, but at least I can fight him and get back to the dragons... I have no choice but to be hit with stale breadsticks when that rotten lady grabs me. Other than those situations... I find randoms a pretty positive diversion.. They keep me on my toes sometimes... I wasn't thrilled when I died to Ricky Turpentine at a furnace, but that was my own fault for being half asleep with my head in the oven...
  18. Very nice article, Stormrage... I agree that there is always a place for clans in Runescape, regardless of updates and changes that rock the foundations of how people think of what a "clan" is. It is human nature to cluster into groups for whatever purposes they have in mind and Runescape definitely has a lot of things going on that people want to group up for. :) Thank you to everyone who has read my own article here and left your opinions. For those of you who expressed concern, I am still very much a loyal player of the game. And, while my "letter" did focus on the heartbreak I felt at the drastic trade update Jagex made, material giving has never been my entire method of helping others in the game. It was simply one of the most joyful experiences that I've had.. Sort of like instant gratification, filling a need to make others feel good right then.. In the moment... And.. thank you Sunli.. for pointing out that I'm female..
  19. :) I have blessed several gravestones. I will always do so if I have enough prayer points at the time. It is a basic human kindness as far as I am concerned. The last one I blessed was in high wild where I had been running as fast as my pixel legs could take me round and round the agility course. I saw a player just as he went down barely within view on my screen, so I left the arena and did a full blessing on his grave, then returned to my agility. I gained him 59 minutes... and while I missed his return, he did manage to make it back, because the grave was gone after about 15 minutes. On the flip side of that.. I do not expect people to repair/bless my own grave. I can certainly hope that someone would do so for me, but I don't see it as some kind of given right that I should be angry or indignant about if nobody is interested in helping me. I bought a better gravestone in order to give myself that few minutes breathing room to get back. So.. no I don't think a player should feel obligated to bless or repair a gravestone simply because it appears, but I would like to think that people generally are good natured and would do it if they possibly could... And without some kind of monetary reward as their incentive.
