  1. might as well get a full chaotic set like me :)
  2. cbow >> staff for safe pvp, lol. staff is pretty useless, you can barely feel the 5% difference
  3. based on those DPS calculations, it seems like rapier can only be a maximum of 6% better than battleaxe. i don't think that's enough to justify basically losing 50 slash, all crush, etc. baxe + hood + plate / laws / tank-gatherer for keying, with quickswitching ring 2h + hood + plate / laws / gatherer for keying, without quickswitching ring baxe + hood + plate / laws / tank for keying, without quickswitching ring baxe + hood + plate / surgebox / zerker-blazer for DPS using magic and melee 2h + hood + plate / laws / zerker for melee-only DPS 2h + hood + hex / sagg / zerker-desperado for DPS using range and melee, with quickswitching ring spear + hood + hex / sagg / desperado for DPS using range and melee, without quickswitching ring
  4. Crossbow is very very good.
  5. I think you misunderstood the point of the table. you're right - they assume 100% accuracy - and that's the point. the main point of the table is to show the best possible performance of each weapon. the actual DPS will be much lower. the point in showing max DPS is that it gives you a sense of how much DPS you're losing to gain accuracy. for example, the table tells us that rapier beats baxe by roughly 4/68 = 6% raw DPS. Therefore, for baxe to be better than rapier, it must be 1/(1-0.06) = 1.064 times as accurate as rapier.
  6. are you sure your weapon speeds are correct? max hit with non hex range is 188, so 225 with T10 desperado, 7 speed that should be about equal to the DPS of a primal 2H. considering a primal 2h is about 4 speed 460 ish max with tier 10 berserker. are you assuming shortbow or longbow btw? maybe that's it, because I know both of us use almost exactly the same DPS equation. hex hits about double on tier 11 forgotten mages, and has better accuracy, so it has over 2x the DPS of a primal 2h on tier 11 forgotten mages. I thought bows were 6 speed? guess not So hex max is like 450?
  7. Yeah, surge, wave, or whatever ambiguous attack name jagex put on it
  8. *Hex maxes are estimates. *SPEAR IS WRONG. I forgot that it doesn't use zerker. DPS is about 60, max 360. Things to note: -- Max magic DPS at least as high as max melee DPS -- Max range DPS with Hex may or may not be the highest DPS -- Normal range DPS is the lowest among all of the options considered
  9. Anyone know what it is? Same as augury? Same as eagle eye?
  10. L2DG CLAN CHAT: Info Here
  11. Im making an account for the cc right now. Do yall wanna get started today at 5PM EST? (Btw to my perm team: I can't DG today with you guys. maybe you could incorporate some floors with the CC?)
  12. Here's how I imagine ranks working out, in order of power: Admins -- Write guides -- Board maintenance -- CC maintenance (All have access to the CC account) Approvers -- DG req (maybe 100+ but I dont have 100 yet LOL) -- Do approval runs -- CC maintenance (Have rights to kicking) Ranked -- DG req (90+?) -- Must get approved -- Have access to CC -- Have access to forums Unranked -- Have access to CC -- Have access to forums Strangers/Randoms -- Do not have access to CC -- Do not have access to all of forums
  13. I think changing weekly is more reasonable. And no, the req will stay 80+. Training people below that will be WAY too much of a hassle.
  14. Who would be interested in ranks for this cc? If so, please post DG levels
  15. Most 80-90s are not very good. lol. I would consider lowering it to 70+ DG, but that is almost getting too nooby. Official world is needed because it's a lot easier to start and find a dungeon if everyone is already on the same world & don't need to hop. The reason behind alternating worlds is because noobs eventually find the pro worlds (infection of w148 and 138). Also allows for easy kicking for people not on the world. The clan will probably eventually be advertised on RSOF etc., but at first will recruit mostly tip it users. I find that DG cc's get spread by word of mouth very quickly.
  16. So I am thinking of making a dungeoneering clan (with a focus on teaching people how to DG well, instead of being totally "pro".) with the following setup: -- 80+ DG required -- Official world changes daily. world will be posted on a website -- This website will feature dungeoneering guides and videos -- CC will be public/open, but people will get kicked if they are not on the right world. This ensures that only people who get to the cc through the website DG with us. -- Expected floor time of 30-40 minutes/large Comments/questions before I get started?
  17. Why 3:3 in particular, and not 5:5? Time to find team Also, diminishing returns: dungeons scale in difficulty with more people, but the 4th and 5th people are not necessarily as useful.
  18. yeah my guide is very outdated.been to lazy to edit though I should
  19. I believe thats what they call "having fun". Its a radical concept, not worth looking into, keep skipping content. k ur cool. have a cookie evidently, intentionally doing things as inefficiently as possible (which is what F1 5:5 larges are) is your idea of fun. ALSO apparently c1s are not part of "real content". woo woo i don't get it tho - all of your fun activities (read: being a derp) can also be done on F40+ 5:5 larges! so not only should we slow ourselves down, but let's slow ourselves down for no purpose at all! either youre desperate to fight astea webgirl as a real boss, or maybe youre just a govelltroll.
  20. Crossbow > Maul > Rigour > Spirit Cape (optional) > Staff > CLS > CKS > FKS > EEKS > Augury
  21. kb is notoriously untrustworthy but if you're right it soaks an avg of about 10 percent for 500 max, 5 percent for a 300 max formula for average reuction is max-200/max times 0.14 if so the shields are collectively better than ely for trbriding in pvp cks would be about as good as ely against range fks would be better than arc and arguably better than ely while maging eels would be better than ely against mage could we get someone to test this jagged fails communication 3 times. mod and kb disagree yet again
  22. Faster dungeons are more enjoyable. Why is this even a discussion?
  23. i mean if the fks is a byproduct of you training dg, then yeah it's "cheaper". but looking at it only from the shield perspective, fks has a higher opportunity cost (if u have bad teams)
  24. time opportunity of money
