I personally bailed on my masks a few months ago and bought a BGS with the money. Then I went to God Wars with it and made all my money back. So obviously I'm biased, but I would make that choice again.

Yes. Even after you get 90 ranged it's still the best ranged armor for anything where you can safespot.

You can't take a familiar into the whirlpool. Anyway, my two cents- steel dragons are way too slow if you're looking for charms. If you feel like testing your luck for a visage and the charms are a bonus, fine, but you're going to be disappointed if you're there for quick charms. They drop mostly green, which are crap.

It's not as long as you use it at the appropriate time. Just make sure you know when it's time to swap it out for a barrows plate. There are still plenty of things you'll fight where getting hurt just simply isn't an issue. Of course, eventually you'll be able to afford Bandos, and THEN your torso will be useless. But you'll probably get plenty of use out of it by them.

Might as well use ROW if you don't have a berserker ring. If you have a torso, I'd wear that on tasks where you just aren't likely to take a lot of damage (Greaters, dust devils, ect). If you can comfortably afford it, I'd sell Torag's legs and buy Verac's skirt- same def with a nifty prayer bonus.

Slayer rings work this way (I believe both people need to have learned it- at the very least the one making the rings needs to), not sure about the helmet.

Nah, it's not too bad. You're well away from any dragons when you fight them, and only one can attack you at a time.

If you think healer is the easiest role, you're doing it wrong.

If I were you, I'd put the portal chamber that's way across the house on the top floor to the east of the skill hall, so that you can actually reach it from the entrance.

It's impossible to fight them in the chaos tunnels for any length of time. You've got to fight the ones in the whirlpool dungeon (mithril dragon dungeon). There are plenty of guides on them if you need more information.

The top is the rarest by all accounts. Took me forEVER to get the top. Like, long enough that if I had been chopping wood for that time, I would have made more exp than I save using lumberjack to 99 lol.

Bronze knives are a way to get 99 ranged without spending very much at all, and without having to worry about picking up drops or any of that. It's pretty inefficient, and I doubt many people have actually gone through with it after they started to realize how long it takes to use 32k knives.

Well, I'm only prepared to give advice to people who plan to keep on playing. I'm not really used to telling people the best way to get one melee stat and then quit. But if you want me to pretend you didn't say anything... Train slayer, and don't just train strength. It's going to take SO LONG to get 99 str while keeping your other stats, particularly attack, so low. Easiest to stay relatively balanced.

Guthan's skirt has significantly lower defense than Torag's legs. The plate is the same though. Verac's skirt is best overall- same melee def as Torag's and a hefty prayer bonus. It's lacking a little bit of ranged def, but that hardly matters.

If you're training to 99 strength just so you can quit, you may want to rethink your approach to the game :?

What are you looking for? If you want a good set effect for normal fighting, Guthan's is great. If you want a good set effect for pvp, Verac's is the best. If you want defense, torag/dharock/guthan plate with Verac's skirt is the best. If you just want to play with one, Dharok's is kind of fun for the high hits.
