  1. And money is something humans made up to keep track of how many things a person owns. It happens to correlate well with time, which one can use to accumulate more things. Anyway, to the OP: your list is horribly malformed. Actually try TRAINING some of these "easy" skills before you go around telling me how slayer is midway up the list... rofl.
  2. I got 3 addy bars and a rune sword. On an entirely different note, if you're killing these guys, MAKE AN EXTRA SAPPHIRE LANTERN and leave it in your bank. I lagged and promptly caught double 25s from 2 demons, which finished me off before my unicorn healed me. Then a maze took me away RIGHT after I died. I got to Lumbridge as quickly as I could, and then was like "oh, crap, I don't have another sapphire lantern." My grave collapsed while I was in the GE and I gave up -.- At least I got 10mil from the quest, so I'm still ahead even after replacing my Verac and Karil parts.
  3. I don't really care about combat reqs (I don't ever expect to find a quest fight hard again now that I'm maxed), but I'm kind of disappointed with the skill reqs. I was really hoping for something like a 90 skill req. Again, the only thing holding me back from this quest was the fact that I had been putting off a couple new quests for a while. I haven't trained to do a quest for years.
  4. No offense, but you expect to do be able to do every new quest, even the super hard ones, when you don't even have everything above 70? I was hoping for 90+ requirements.
  5. My broav seems to be broken... it just leads me to a locked door. Tried from all angles. Anyone have any advice? :( Edit: never mind. I feel dumb.
  6. They're uncommon, but certainly not rare. If you kill 100 or so you should see at least 1 page, probably more like 3 or 4. I think it's possible to get the same page twice, so collecting them all won't stop the drops.
  7. So... you were killing one or two waterfiends a trip using a rune warhammer and an iron minotaur in the CHAOS TUNNELS? You must have the patience of a GOD. I have a feeling a LOT of your RS life would be a LOT simpler if you took a couple minutes to read guides on things like this. This is just RIDICULOUSLY bad.
  8. It translates to the GE refusing to update the prices. This can be because none are being sold, or because they've hit a price floor and aren't allowed any lower, or a ceiling and not allowed any higher. I suspect that bronze knives have hit a floor.

Well actually you can still get the 5 pray/10 hp heal by hitting 0. My friend explained it to me, you can hit a 0, and you can hit a 0.5 or something but it won't round up. So it still has a chance of healing you if you hit that 0.5 Truth. The way I think it works is every time you swing, the game goes "did he miss?" using a formula that takes into account attack and weapon accuracy and whatnot. Then, if that comes up "no," it calculates damage based on slash bonus and strength level and bonus and all that. However, it's possible to roll a hit rather than a miss, and then get such terrible numbers on the strength part that it's still a 0. The SGS still takes it as a hit, but no damage is dealt.
  10. Generally speaking? Well, I guess if it's absolutely imperative that you waste a ton of time while woodcutting, magics are your best bet.
  11. Huh. That's what I get for going off of old market knowledge. Never mind.
  12. Then don't buy anything. The market's going down, no good items are going to be rising any time soon.
  13. I'm better at flashing with a whip than a godsword because I learned with a whip. I don't know what the 2 square jump is, but it sounds like saving two squares of running between monsters. Lol, I'll take my chances. Picking up drops and drinking potions is not a complicated task, and I tend to do just fine. It does not significantly slow me down, I 100% guarantee it's better than using the 10% str prayer, and it's so much cheaper than using constant piety that I wouldn't even consider using the prayer potions.
  14. Fantastic- I reported that a while ago. Bolts that good should not be so easy to use.
  15. Hey, did they fix the bug where people under 55 slayer could use them? Do you get a message when you try to equip them?
  16. You have to copy and paste the image code into your signature field. Should look something like [img=www.something.com/something.jpg]
  17. I must say that one of the first places I tried out my void was a black dragon task, and I was AMAZED how much better it went than when I had used Armadyl there. I do admit that I hate ranging irons and especially steels in either armor though. Too many 0s when I could be meleeing (so I melee). Lol other way around with me =/ Hmm... when was the last time you tried it? I was 94 ranged and used ranged pot when I found it worked well on black dragons. It probably gets better as your ranged level gets higher, because the extra damage and accuracy get more significant (10% of 100 is more significant than 10% of 10, so if it's a choice between adding 5 and adding 10% it depends on the number).

Ack, I just reported that one as a duplicate thread because this one had a reply #-o 1. They drop, on average, one noted addy bar per kill (they come in groups of 4). That adds up. 2. Plenty of guides outlining this. 3. If you use prayer. 4. Yeah, don't bother without 70 ranged. 5. Look up a guide, THEN ask questions.

  20. I'll agree to disagree on the rest- we're throwing the same points back and forth and never are going to make any headway. I don't have anything new to say because you haven't convinced me anything I've said is wrong, and I'm sure it's the same for you. This part, though- I flash piety pretty well. Been doing it over a year, and can do it accurately while reading/watching videos (which I always do while slaying- got seasons 1-4 of House off my friend recently, that's a lot of slayer :P). It doesn't slow down anything, and it costs a LOT less. Like, enough less that I would have to make a lot MORE than 800k or whatever you said to make it worth turning it on full time. It's the perfect balance between cost and exp rate. I don't use any prayer potion at all because I always take an SGS on tasks with me. I would take this up with Zarfot in a second if I was on speaking terms, but unfortunately I'll just have to sit here and know he's wrong.
  21. I can tell you for sure that slash and ranged work pretty well on them, and magic does not.
  22. Fair enough, but if he wants to spend money on the best melee armor in the game and use it for Castle Wars, I don't see anything wrong with that. It's useful everywhere. If you hardly ever get hit, then 25% less hits doesn't mean much. Add to that the fact that there are other major factors in how hard you're hit than just armor (like, oh, DEFENSE LEVEL), and the difference is almost negligible after a certain point. The smaller a number is, the smaller a given percent of that number is, so if you're getting hit all the time Barrows over Bandos makes a big difference. If not... not so much. Plus, Bandos has more ranged defense if I recall correctly. Ranged tends to be a bigger problem for me than melee. Again, who cares about dying? If you're flag running, you're in Karil's/Armadyl anyway. Yeah. Statistics- learn them. Not a whole ton of difference in the short term between 1/500 and 1/1000- they're both just really unlikely. Obviously I'm not powertraining melee- 99 in everything. To all of your prayer in proselyte is better for slayer garbage- I flash piety AND wear Bandos, which is better than any of your methods. As for boss hunting, Sara GWD works pretty well in Bandos, since almost all of the damage you take is ranged from Bree and, as mentioned earlier, Bandos has a huge ranged defense bonus. Plus, with a unicorn and SGS, it's not like my team tends to outlast me in terms of supplies, so offense is much more important than defense there. Same deal with Zamorak and Bandos, come to think of it. Obviously it doesn't work well at Armadyl, but that's because you're ranging.
  23. Ok. Barrows is 17m (3350%) cheaper, with 46 (25%) extra slash defence. 25% greater defence is significant, 4% greater strength is not. 17.6m is significant, 526k is not. Consider that you are usually under attack by more then one person, but never fighting more then one, and that 25% is multiplied by anywhere from 2 to 8. Watching bandos plummet farther is significant, paying 75-150k to repair barrows once every 67 games is not. Assuming that I, as a regular slayer and monster hunter, already own a set of Bandos and barrows (not an uncommon situation), the cheaper choice is to take out my Bandos. 25% extra defense isn't going to cut down too much on the 5% of attempted hits that don't do 0 damage on me. Losing HP just shouldn't be a huge concern at level 130+, and armor bonus becomes meaningless after a certain point.
  24. The difference between barrows and bandos defense-wise isn't huge either. It's still essentially everybody under 90 attack hitting 0s. Plus, I don't have to repair my Bandos. Neither choice is drastically better than the other, so choose the one that doesn't cost money.
  25. Not unless the extra kills or points help push your team from losing/tying to tying/winning, in which case it gets your whole team more points. Kind of messed up, huh? I thought they figured out with Pest Control that letting people screw around instead of helping and still get the same rewards was a bad idea.
