  1. Flag running in Bandos is asking for it from an ancient, but barrows is better? I flag run in Karil's, because I'm not stupid. If you're there to fight, you don't care how often you die anyway, so why NOT have the extra strength bonus? The only time dying matters is if you're running the flag, and only an idiot would flag run in melee armor period.
  2. Sounds productive. You sit there and let yourself be killed by mobs instead of actually doing anything to help your team win. If you were moving around trying to actually do something, you'd be surprised how often it fits to just grab more bandaids and stay on the move so you never get a mob on you.
  3. I do flag runs, protect the flag holder or hold the flag, or chase down their flag holder. What do YOU do, hang around their spawn room with no bandaids wearing no armor?
  4. Oh, you can damage them alright. I once forgot what I was doing and put on my Guthan's while fighting a dust devil instead of going in to the crypt rats. I hit after that, but... they hit more.
  5. Lol wut? Have you ever seen anyone with 70 defense try to tank aviansies? It's not pretty.
  6. Dark Beasts- don't range them. They have very high ranged defense- I tried. Melee is a much less painful way to get through this task. If you insist upon trying ranged (I doubt this will happen more than one task), I would say void just because void is plain BETTER than Armadyl, period. Dust Devils (no helm so I'm guessing arma)- You are correct, sir. Unless there are safespots in the chaos tunnels and you want to do something dangerous. Not sure if there are safespots there though. Everything else- Void! I owned a set of Armadyl for a while before I got void, and void is RIDICULOUSLY superior.
  7. Your saying you never die, and 1 extra max hit is going to kill the flag holder? I don't know about you, but at level 132 I still die quite a bit in barrows. Yup, I'm saying that at 99 defense I die EXTREMELY rarely. When I do die I'm invariably in Karil's because there's a mage on me. I honestly don't remember the last time I've been killed by ranged and melee alone.
  8. Out of those listed, nothing even comes slightly close to comparing with Runecrafting. At level 44, you can make a pretty good living on nature runes.
  9. Train slayer with a black mask, and use super attack and strength potions.
  10. I think you may be better off with Vannaka in the future, though I'm not sure how much he changed with the Smoking Kills update.
  11. Add more than 1k. It says 100k to make it easier to see how much it is, much easier than 100562 or whatever you have. If you make it up to the next round thousand, it will say 101k, and so forth. When you get to 10 million the same thing happens with an M. To see exactly how much you have, examine the stack and it will give you the precise amount.
  12. He has a ZGS, are you insane?
  13. *shrug* I don't exactly die a lot in Castle Wars wearing Bandos. My main problem is not being able to kill the guy running away with our flag fast enough, so defense is meaningless compared to offensive bonuses.
  14. You should upgrade to barrows before you think about Bandos or Armadyl. Verac skirt, Guthan/Verac body (Guthan has higher def, Verac has prayer), and Karils top and bottom. After that, you have a tossup- Bandos would sacrifice prayer and a little defense for strength and no repair cost, while Armadyl would sacrifice some offensive stats (it has negative melee attack) for defense and no repair cost. Personally I would go for Bandos first.
  15. Yup. Your magic defense level is the average between your defense and magic levels, so somebody with 90 defense and 10 magic would have an effective defense level of 50 against magic attacks.
  16. Just off the top of my head- nechryael. Great exp, drop a fair amount of snapdragon seeds, rune boots, rune full helms; with guthans or a bunyip + sgs you can camp forever; they definitely don't cost any more than dust devils. Plus they have a solid 33%+ droprate of crimsons, which is way better than the 20% I seem to get from dust devils. You've also got waterfiends at higher levels, which drop EXTREMELY well, are not really that much harder to kill than other monsters when you're well-equipped, have an EXTREMELY high crimson droprate, and are easy to get back to from banking. Once you've been there it feels kind of silly to camp dust devils.
  17. Um... last I checked, glories were worth significantly less than dragonstones.
  18. Make sure you damage everything you can- if you do 1 hp of damage to a spiritual ranger before it kills the werewolf it's fighting, and then 20 kc later it gets mauled by a gorak, you get the kill.
  19. That's gambling 10 cactus spines against a whole yew seed AND a day's worth of yew tree exp. A poor gamble in my opinion. Just pay him. As for the compost issue- don't use it if you only check every 20-24 hours like me. Your trees will be done in that time frame, period. If you want to be checking them ASAP and getting the most exp per day possible (and wasting a lot of time potentially finding trees which haven't grown yet and needing to check back later), then supercompost will probably shave an hour off your growth time occasionally.
  20. it could also be in his first kill, its just about luck : Well gee, if that's the case why not just go kill the level 13 minotaurs in the stronghold of security? You could get a d spear every single kill, make a tidy 5mil+ per hour. I got one once on a slayer assignment, so it's definitely a possibility. It's all about luck : But seriously, dust devils aren't worth camping. Keep on slaying right past them and enjoy it when you get them as a task- they are nice exp and okay charms. The d chain drop isn't worth taking into consideration though- if you expect one you've got a 99.9999% chance of being disappointed and having wasted your time.
  21. 10 fish, 5 flax. If you want seeds, sell the fish and flax and buy the seeds you want- you'll get way more seeds (and only seeds you want) that way than if you had set them to farming.
  22. You can use any bow except a dark bow to light a log, after doing the proper barbarian training (guide)
  23. Unfinished broad bolts (from slayer master, or cheaper from the GE) + feathers.
  24. If you want to range them, Taverly is your best bet. For meleeing, if Taverly is too crowded, you should try high level wilderness. Tons of hellhounds, and revenents are a joke if you run with protect ranged on and then log out and switch worlds. The mage bank is right there. Only downside is that very rarely you'll have to log for 5 minutes waiting for a teleblock.
  25. Guardians are 141, soldiers are something like 90, and the queen is 333. All different monsters.
