Huh? The only thing you'll see on 117 is people going for single floors. They advertise the floor they're starting. Definitely don't do one floor three times to get a level- you'll get no prestige bonus for it, which generally works out to be less than half of what you'd normally be getting. Just reset when you finish all floors and get the levelup the next prestige run. I never tried W117, so I didn't know that those teams are 1 level at a time. I guess I'll try it, to see if it's as bad as people say. To be honest, it's not entirely bad. You will in general not find any extraordinary amazing dg gurus, but on the whole I've found most people to be at least somewhat competent. The "horror" stories are often from people slightly exaggerating a somewhat less than pleasant experience. People tend to talk about the bad or good things that happen to them; you'll seldom find comments like "Oh I dg'd with a random dude and it was a completely average dg experience"

Have you tried digging up different soil spots? What you're doing sounds like it should work.

I "have it" in the sense that I have 40 def, 40 ranged, and beat d'slayer. But I think most people have to realize that defence bonuses do jack all for your survivability. I've always found that prayer gear if your prayer is relatively low or just strength boosting gear is more useful. Protection prayers and actually avoiding your opponents attacks are about all you can really do to stay alive longer in FoG.

Rune darts are what you should be doing on low def monsters. Addy darts if you're looking to be a little more thrifty.

1. Why are they dropping so hard in price? 2. Has their street dropped a lot as well? I'm still seeing offers of 10M+ for the whole set on the RSOF marketplace. 3. Have they become any easier to buy on the GE? Should I just try to buy one now or wait for it to drop some more? By how much?

+1 to Grimy's and Norriie's posts On top of that: A granite/obby shield would be good for anything that requires lots of ranged defence, like aviansies. Consider getting 100 ranks in MA so you can enchant diamond rings. It's basically a warrior, seers, and archer's ring rolled into 1 (minus defence bonuses), and can help with crush/stab options as well. It will take around 10 hours to get though, but diamond rings are dirt cheap to replace and the reward credits are easy to get.

I definitely agree with the dg article. Now with occult and warped floors, no high level P2P player would use F2P. Granted that people who haven't reached that point would then use F2P worlds until then, SA's recommendation of some sort of scaling factor would make much more sense.

Yep. They keep tellying in and leaving based on time, starting on when you first unlock the floor. You could be in the middle of fighting one of them and then they randomly leave. I found the best way was just to wait until they all left, pile the leader, and then GGS/GS out again when they came back in.

alright i read a guide and the explained to me that Complexity 1, Small, and 5:1 (C1s). but what does the 5:1 mean? When you start a floor with more than 1 person, it asks how many people you would like the dungeon to be geared to. 5 is the number of players actually clearing, 1 is the setting. (5:1 = 5 people are doing a dungeon meant for 1 person) This is again going back to the clear low dungeons as quick as possible to get to the good high level floors.

On an F2P world, summoning is never seen. On a P2P, non-PvP world, summoning is always seen. On a P2P, PVP/Bounty world, summoning is seen when you have a pouch in invent.

Not to rub salt in the wounds or anything, but I got my silk hood on the second night spider I've ever seen. It was a duo med c6 on floor 24 or 25 about two days ago. However, from most of the people I've asked they get them in the range of 22-31.

In your belief that by choosing to suck, and hence blaming the game, you are therefore more mature than they are. :rolleyes: It's not even that heck i dont train skills cause i dont want to, i dont train skills that i find dull and boring (AKA Melee, "dung", and farming). why would i waste time on something that i dont enjoy doing? and also, how does that make me in immature one? :wall: Because you're complaining that something is imbalanced when you had full access to the other components of combat and refusing to use them. You aren't getting all this heat because people actually think the triangle is balanced. Far from it. EVERYONE here knows that melee has the advantage. You're just coming off as too stubborn and close-minded to adapt your gameplay style to take advantage of what you already admitted to be the clearly superior cb style. While I can't possibly see how you find training ranged as any more fun than training melee (In F2P, there's about as much difference as there is between training attack and defence to me at least), I can accept the fact that you may not enjoy doing it and thus won't. However, I can't justify why you're complaining about content you chose not to access. I'm sure plenty of people would want turmoil, extremes, MA rings, chaotic weapons, and the ability to kill stuff like TDS, but they might not want to or "enjoy" putting money/time spent on the skill, minigame, or quest. And you know what? That's their own choice.

It might be useful if you wanted to farm long/curved bones from hill giants? Still not a very good use but: Neit Prossy D boots Rune Def Barrows Gloves Whip/Rapier Fire cape/SW Cape/Ardy 3 cape I think you could pull off using piety with it since your offensive ability in P2P is so much greater than in F2P and you would 1 hit most of them. Find the least crowded world/location you can find (which shouldn't be hard in P2P) and kill away. or maybe melee void, but I don't know which prayer you would be able to get away with.

Bots were killing them on most servers I was on. I gave up on the warriors and just went with the caskets. If you're desperate, I think you could just buy some caskets from the GE. Around 7k per.

Yes you get them from caskets and you can only have 1 at the time. About a week with 5 on fish should do the trick.

Assistclan is bigger than effigies cc. Effigies cc is less moderated and they allow payments/bribes, but assistclan is frequented by more people I find.

Remember that the necklace itself grants +11 prayer. I'm thinking medium level zombies in SoS if you have 70+ defence. Rune gaunts, full helm, and rune kite would be a must though. Also bonecrusher is P2P only.

My dg isn't as high as yours, but from what I can gather from most other threads/people's advice: 1. Rushing 1-29. Meds for your last few dungeons. Try to at least duo for those last dungeons. 2. Binds should probably be prom 2h + shadow silk hood, but your spear + plate is still pretty good. There are theories on how to get the SSH the quickest, but I think doing floors 23-30ish over and over again is what I've heard the most. As for the prom 2h, dungsmith cc as already mentioned is good. If you had a friend with at least 90 mining to go dging with you, that would also help spawn some prommy rocks. 3. I think the only real way to get there without a clan is to just get a bunch of friends to go with you. You could also try 117 for a little while and try random dgs and friending people you have good experiences with and once you feel you have a good friendbase, dg exclusively with them.

Having maxed ranged and maxed melee are not mutually exclusive. Once you get melees up, you can still use your ranged :unsure:
