  1. I personally think the points would be much better spent on super compost potions. Those things are almost impossible to buy despite how cheap they are and make 60 super composts.
  2. Not pictures, all videos. It makes it almost impossible to understand the guide without them.
  3. Bone c'bow nerfed? Sure. Ineffective? Certainly not. The bone c'bow is the lowest costing ranged weapon in the entire game. At 3-4GPs each, you're hitting around 14s and 15s at your current level. The low cost of the bolts lets you ignore dropped bolts when you're using a safe spot, something you'd be less inclined to do with more expensive bolts. For a pure damage per cost comparison, bone c'bow is most likely one of the top choices out there for ranged. Only the rune c'bow + broad combo seems to be a clear cut better choice. As for actual experience per hour, the bone c'bow is mediocre.
  4. I have yet to understand why people don't seem to look up old threads. There must be dozens, maybe even baker's dozens, of threads like these. Anyway, buy all essences you need and either: Get some air RC gloves from FoG, and then simply craft airs. You get 5 airs, which translates to 65 gp per essence and enough to cover the 44 gp cost of essence. Or Once your RCing is at 52 or higher, get some earth RC gloves from FoG, and then simply RC earths. 3 earths per essence at 52 gives you 48 gp, which covers the 44 gp cost of essence. This is faster xp and probably one of the best ways until lvl 77.
  5. I thought it would have made more sense if they all went from your base level. Potions boost based on base levels, prayers give you invisible boosts from base levels, and the slayer helm does the same. This requires some testing :-k
  6. There's no reason to keep your magic at one if you're planning on being a pure. Magic levels do not affect your cb level nearly as much as melee skills.
  7. Well not everyone has the few million for that many chins  What do you know, steels are only a tiny bit more. Guess that's my new ranged training wep
  8. By training attack separately, you are able to reap the higher levels of accuracy sooner. Likewise with the less damage you'll take with high defence levels. Training on controlled will act as a jack of all trades, but does offer some strength xp.
  9. Or I could just simply buy the darts. I suppose iron darts it is.
  10. I think the little street price tags attached the awards should be removed. Although you stated at the beginning of the guide that everyone has to calculate profits for themselves, the street prices can be a little misleading.
  11. You're saying double xp is a waste? I'm pretty sure anyone trying to level up mining would appreciate that considering one SC game pretty much guarantees at least 1 pick if you do it right.
  12. I think it would be much more efficient if you were to simply mine a full inventory at once and bank it all until you have the desired amounts and then start SHing away at a bank.
  13. Hmm, it always seems my questions only ever manage to get one opinion after like 30 views  Perhaps I will get bronze knives, but I want to know how often they in comparison to iron darts. I had a few from doing the Varrock museum and they worked wonders at PC.
  14. Two of the fastest weapons in the game, darts and knives, seem to be good training weapons. However, I've noticed that even iron knives break ridiculously quick (That's taking into account that you throw them so fast). Bronze knives are sitting at 14 GP, irons at 36, and iron darts are, strangely enough, cheaper than bronze ones at 25 GP. Which one these is the best option for overall damage and cost?
  15. Has muggi thought of updating this guide with stuff like cbows and other new updates?
  16. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=565509 Don't people look stuff up anymore?
  17. The long road from 40-60? Just wait until you get to the life searching expedition to level 99  Anyway, your rune scim is a decent training weapon. Just make sure you've got appropriate equipment to accompany it. As for monsters, giants in the Edgeville dungeon aren't bad with their medium HP and low defence, and the bones are decent prayer xp/cash. For straight out powertraining, flesh crawlers are up there.
  18. I've heard that using it on slayer also isn't a bad option either considering it's one the only minigames to offer it. I'm not sure whether or not playing SW would be faster than actually slaying though.
  19. Well I could perhaps apply this to certain skills and certain drops then. The dragon bones I'm pretty deadset on keeping, but I could sell back those hides and sell any monks and sharks I'd pull in.
  20. Hmm...well there are definitely money making methods whereby I make items that I don't necessarily need. Like I said, adding pineapples to pizzas or making game necklaces both make a profit, but the key thing here is that I have to sell them through the GE to make any profit. I don't have any share in the pizzas themselves, I just process them. If I were to use MTK, I would undoubtedly max out fishing and put a few on some other area. I'm most likely not going to able to use up all the food they produce, and I'll probably be able to get my hands on better options anyway. Those remaining workers would just be chugging away getting me ridiculously cheap resources. I don't see what benefit there is to taking the materials from production skills and then selling them, only to rebuy just as many later on when I decide and train the skill. Similarly, what point is there in selling those d bones now if I have to buy them back later on? It seems quite counter-intuitive from my standpoint. I can sort of see ballr's and paw's logic in that if I sell my materials now, I could get higher skills and then make that money back later, but I can only see it working in certain scenarios.
  21. Seems like the general consensus is barrows and perhaps zamorak mages. You were particularly helpful transcript, thanks. Guess I should do quests like the Myreque ones. To perhaps focus the suggestions more, my stats: 70 Atk/Def/Mage 73 Range/Str 75 HP 52 RC 66 WC (I personally dislike this skill) 56 Crafting 37 Fletching (Also don't like this one) 42 Slay 59 Pray (Chivalry, Soon you will be mine!) 73 Fishing/Cook Monks? I need food for myself when I go slaying or boss hunting
  22. I'm at 41 agility and the springs only lasted 9.5 minutes for me. I was wearing about 30Kg though.
  23. Into my second month of P2P ( : ), I've raised a good number of skills to half-decent levels, done dozen or so quests, and bought and earned some awesome P2P gear. However, there's still a lot that I'd like to buy: Guthans, Veracs, Ahrims, an abyssal whip, Zamorak pages, a cannon (Heard this helps with slayer tasks), a dragon axe, and slayer mask. Most people will agree that these items are pretty useful, but come a fairly hefty price tag. On top of all that, I need some money to raise less profitable skills such as construction and prayer. The biggest problem is that I can't seem to find a good monster with consistent drops that aren't involved in my skilling or an efficient money making method. Dragons you say? I'd keep the bones and the hides for prayer and crafting. Thieve from farmers? Any seeds like snapdragons or ranarrs would be grown by myself for the XP and herbs. My two current methods of making money are buying pizzas as the warriors guild, adding anchovies or pineapples, and reselling or buying gold bars and sapphires, making them into necklaces and then enchanting them. I particularly like these methods because they give me a relatively steady rate of income, but more importantly raise my skills. So after all that, this is essentially another "I NEED MONEY" thread #-o
  24. There was actually a guide labeled something like "Fury: 14.5k, fish , some patience? Oh my!" and basically outlined the long and arduous process of getting a fury through only raising cats. After death runes were traded in, they were taken and traded in elsewhere for some tokens of some sort (Tokkul?), and then those tokens were traded in for the fury. Anyway, if you're training a skill like FMing, WCing, mining, crafting, or something similar, then raising a cat isn't a bad idea since you're not constantly worrying about something else. Just bring a fish or two and you'll be able to keep your cat fed.
