  1. While I applaud you for taking on Slayer with a staker like that, I gotta ask. If your main goal is to stake for cash, why worry about getting to dusties?
  2. Of those options, I'd say make bowstrings, leave the flax picking to say, I dunno, nubs who spend so much time picking flax, yet what seems like most of it posting on a forum. You can easily just do a few clicks, spin a load of flax, and bank, easy, easy, easy money.
  3. Maybe see how much money you can make with the Trolling, err, Trawling Mini Game.
  4. It's a freaking holiday item meant for laughs and something different to wear, what the heck were you expecting, some new awesome easter inspired PKing weapon? Cmon, it's a flipping chicken suit, it's meant to be just as powerful as well, a chicken suit. Good lord.
  5. Depends how committed you are. I'd say roughly 600 an hour is a fair pace for coal mining. It's likely -alot- less though, as I'm baseing it off my mining level, I don't remember how fast 70 was.
  6. I'd say flax or coal. Me personally, I like coal. Costs roughly 95 each, yields 200 each over time. Free gems, keeps me supplied in games, recoils, and dueling rings. The others I usually leave on Maples, since I plan to start getting some fire making exp, and a few tree seeds cant hurt. -edit- I believe, technically, Flax can yield the best return, with overrall herb seeds, and the flax costing roughly 53 each, and selling on forums for 100 each with the herbs.
  7. If karil or ahrim is your tunnel, good luck if one of them and dharok/verac pop up, it's gonna hurt hard and fast. Also, if multiples spawn in the same room, I hope you can get them all safe spotted at the same time, as they're hitting you. No, there are already methods for little/no prayer without this, this is just a stupid risk.
  8. Asking for a solid number like profit, from something as random as drops isn't very sound. Try it a bit, that's the best advice I can see.
  9. Um, try selling some and see? Yes, infact in the fletching area, that is THE market.
  10. Or B), have the needed hunter for it, and simply buy it from a player.
  11. This is the method I been using for quite some time now, only a few tweaks I like. You dont need hardly any mage, at all to kill 4 of the brothers. I personally prefer the Helm of Neit over anything else, doesnt really lower mage, prayer bonus, and good for meleeing Ahrim, I'll get to later. Karil, even potted, I can kill him quicker in mage gear... here, let me post what I wear/bring. I agree with your pattern, except I find doing Ahrim last a tad better, nothing special, just his lowering defence once in awhile may cause Verac to put a tad more hurt on ya, but nothing special. As you see, in that set up, that's more than enough to mage Dharok and Karil, trust me. When doing Verac, Torag, and Guthan, just wear your melee armor. (I'll be replacing Dharok's Legs with Verac's Skirt as soon as I hit one.) Ahrim, I find even with my 96 mage he can still put a hurt on ya. I just like the extra mage def there. Pot up, usually it's a 4 spec ordeal, might take a few whippings, nothing special. I like the Defender, good for getting tunnel kills and, against the melee brothers, honestly, even -15 mage bonus you still rarely, if ever splash, so the more defense the better, debating switching it for a crystal shield soon. I dunno if this may help your guide any, but, I still love this method of doing barrows, and I agree, it works great.
  12. The secret area for all your PK advice needs.
  13. Only Halberds can attack over a space. If you mean "safe spotting" with any spear, including Guthans, than no, it's not long ranged.
  14. Iron knives/MSB at fire giants depending on just how cheap you wanna go. Bronze arrows/Iron knives at caged ogres in Latha's training ground. Faster than fire giants but next to no reward. PC with bronze/iron/steel arrows.
  15. Did you honestly thing getting 99 mining wouldn't be?
  16. Dark gloves give 3 more mage bonus than mystic gloves.
  17. There's no "guide lines" for merching. Heck, even the guides are more examples of how to merch certain things. Look, let's say I merch.... Buckets, no, I don't really, but let's use them as an example. Let's say I'm making millions an hour merching buckets, why? I've managed to find something I can buy from players in amounts and sell for more due to having more. Now, I'm making this killing, and someone asks me, how do I make all this money, do I A) Tell him buckets, show hundreds of people how I make my money, and watch as there are more suppliers to compete with. Competing with suppliers usually decreases the amount each one will sell for, in an attempt to beat them to buyers. B) Not give out my secret and be rich. Look, if you want to Merch, do research. Look around at prices, pick an item, look at the amount of sellers, and ask youself, "could I buy this either really expensive thing and/or buy these from alot of people" and if you can, see if you can then turn around and sell it for more. Larger amounts = larger prices. The best place to learn to merch is simply scrolling through all the sales forums and picking up on small amount/large amount prices and deciding for yourself. -edit- P.S. To save you time, Pages are horrid to merch.
  18. I still say power mining granite. Go in all the desert robes. Inventory 1 Rune pick, 26 waterskins (Wield pick after carpet trip) Get to granite, the three going vertical along the west side of the pit are best. Click first rock, then, click second right. QUICKLY, as you're walking towards the 2nd rock, right click the granite in your inventory, hover over "drop" and as you hit the rock, click drop. You should be one hitting the granite, so you will mine and drop at the same time. Now, you'll have 1 rock, 26 waterskins, simply keep doing this pattern till you run out of waterskins, then, keep going till A) you die, or B) Glory tele to Al Karid, restock on water skins/robes if needed. Lather up, rinse, and repeat till desired Mining level is reached.
  19. The secret to merching is to spend less time asking people what to merch, and more time buying stuff and selling it slightly higher.
  20. Well, I dunno Jagex's stance on messengers, but they seem to not like them.... For KQ, I greatly recommend you go with friends you trust and a messenger works good. We started out screenshotting and showing that run's drop in a screenie, now we trust each other more. By the way, Teamspeak ftw. And I really hope I didn't just suggest breaking a slough of rules.
  21. Doubt it's possible on a level 3 skiller, but I find just full Moonclan to be very ftw.
  22. That's what I was thinking but... I don't find repair costs all that bad, specially if you can afford Guthan's in the first place, seems weird to then skimp out as much as possible on a bit of repair costs... On the other side of that arguement, after buying Guthan, some of us may HAVE to be a tight as that....
  23. Though it may seem a pittance to pay in currency, the taxing upon your mind burning all those logs is more than worth it's fair share of pain.
  24. Why not just wear guth's skirt and top the whole time? Why two sets of body armor?
