uhh.. my reputation.. when i was about 13 or 14 i was the black sheep in class, because i got drunk fairly often. i even heard some people were telling i'd take heroine... later in another school i was known for knowing everything and being smartest kid in class, for being easygoing and for being the only one getting along fine with everybody in the class. i heard though, that some people in other classes believed me to hate girls! wierd indeed. also i was known for hanging with the infamous people who smoked pot all day long. oh and people also thought i'd be clam as a lamb, peaceful and the like. later after an ugly incident (after i quitted school) one part of the people i know thought of me as the biggest creep alive. i was mobbed badly and those people made no effort to hide, that they wished me to suicide. then when i got schizophrenia i was just known as an absolute freak today i'm probably the most contoversial person people who know me know. most won't contact me anymore. i feel that i freak them out. some call me jesus and if i would start to walk over water, most wouldn't be surprised. then again, if i'd commit suicide nobody would be surprised as well. somehow it's clear, that i'm different. everybody who meets me notices that in someway, but it'd be hard to say, what exactly it is. that's what people think of me. it's always much easier to recognize, what others think, then what i think (at least for me).

yah i read it. just tought the sticky is about my own pages. sorry if i am mistaken

if you like pvp or gvg, then give this game a try. it's very cool when it comes to combat, but offers not much else. the really good part is, that it is completely free, since the company that made it (wolfpack studios) disbanded. for some reason the servers are still maintained though. i payed it for a while, but came back to runescape. guess i'm not that much into combat. if you play it, i'd recommend the server "brailla". it's newest and most populated. leveling is pretty easy. you can get to lvl 75 (wich is max) in two days, if you get powerlvled by somebody with an adequate macro and don't get pked too often =P other then that, you really need a guild for mine fights and banes (where you attack the cities of other guilds). be warned though: it takes a little to get into and your first toon most likely is crap. there are that many build options, that you'll most likely gimp it. here's the link to download and such: http://www.shadowbane.com/us/ it says "free trial" and "buy now" but you can't even buy it anymore. just download the trial. it's the complete game and you can make as many accounts as you want here. you just need to sign up at ubi, once per account. here's the link to the main page, where you can read about the game: http://chronicle.ubi.com/

actually i think the relpy is rather weak. it's waay too long and your specific question is answered very fuzzy. Also the response is written as if they'd love nothing more then to answer your question, although the last line suggests, that they'd prefer if players would use the knowledge base rather then sending in queries. i really think, you shouldn't send in non vital questions (or some that aren't very burning for that matter). thanking them for their fast response is nice, but takes time for them to read and reply to aswell. once i worked at a customer support. of course i was nice and all to the callers and of course i didn't mind their questions, but i would have prefered to just sit there and read my book. so of course i tried to answer as quickly as possible.

OMFG!!! what kind of people are you?! NEVER EVER report him! For his own good? No! NO! and NO! it's like backstabbing someone. if you don't think it's right, what he is doing, then tell him your feelings about the situation. i would quit a relationship with anybody, who'd report me to any authorities for any reason immediately. just explain in detail, why you think what he is doing is wrong. if you can't convince him, then what he is doing is probably his way. (i'm talking in general here, you can apply this to much more, then only on rs) If he filthy rich, then a couple hundred bucks maybe really don't matter to him. maybe you are just jealous about the things he got in rs. if that is the reason you want to report him, then don't. hm.. slowly i understand the point. well anyway. i'd say it'd still be backstabbing, because the only reason you know he is rl item trading is because you know him in rl. in the end you got me a bit unsure. i just know, that if i'd report him it wouldn't do anything good for my conscience oh yah and: amen

Physics shares the same basis with Mathematics, so physics can be proved through the use of mathematics. Things like Chemistry, Biology and Geology are derived from physics, hence they can also be proved through mathematics (as they share the same basis with physics; which is shared with mathematics). no. physical theories can't be proven as i tried to explain. for example if you want to prove, that the earth is a globe, you first have to prove, that there is an earth. how can you prove, that there is an earth? it's impossible (if you want to argue that, then prove me, that there is a planet earth, or prove me the existance of anything less abstract then something). you just can state, that you can see it and touch it and the like, but how can you prove, that your senses are telling the truth? only thing you can prove, is that you are. (at least that's what descartes thought. in my opinion his idea has some loopholes, because he stated: i think, therefor i am, but how can you be sure, that there is such thing as "i". therefor i'd say, the only thing we can take for granted is, that there is something. (after all even if our perceptions are wrong, then there is something: wrong perceptions.) everything else are just believes. can't be proven. that's why i said science is based on believes. the only way to break the reasoning regress (that i can think of) is by taking the only fact we have (something is) and build it up from there, accepting that you have to take some things for granted (therfor to believe in them) for science to work. the reason why mathematics is above that, is because mathematics doesn't measure anything. everything in mathematics is clearly defined. mathematics doesn't exist outside of our heads. there is no such thing as a perfect circle. btw thanks death for explaination of quantum physics. guess now i finally understand schr̮̦̉̉dingers cat. (the pie example is good)
-
so before the measurement you not even don't know it's properties, instead it has no properties at all and only if it is measured it becomes determined? if right then cool! considering that being, isness (don't know the proper name for this ontological term in english) is pure indeterminism. gives me something to think about. as far as i know, the only theories that are proven are mathematical theories. all others can't be proven, because you'd always need to use your senses to do so. you can't prove that youre senses are telling the truth. (might seem like that's only splitting hairs, but it's all important in epistemology.) that means to establish any sientific prove at all, you first have to BELIEVE, that your senses are telling the truth. wich in turn means, that sience is based on believe.

Vienna: the inner city: the parliament: the oldest church in the city (over 1200 years old. it even smells very, very old in there): the university i study on from the outside: and the inside: this stairway leads to the most famous nightclub in vienna, the flex (used to be underground, but recently it got pretty commercial. home of the electronci music scene): [/img]

hey, thanks again! i got myself about 3 to 4 songs of those bands (in the small list) and browsed through. some stuff sounds decent, but considering my current mood it will probably take some weeks to absorb all those new impressions. it's whatever i pick up, i dive deep into it. so it's an important decision what to pick up at all.

thanks for all the replys! (each of you) hm.. what's the difference between university and collage? oh and in germany both the marks 5&6 are negative, right? so what's the difference, other then 5 is bad and 6 is worse? (i'll edit those questions into the original post)

in austria (where i live) abortion isn't legal. it just isn't penaltized. this compromise seemed to be made, to make a point. i'd say it is killing... it's just if i was a woman (or a girl for that matter) i'd want to have the right to kill something, that's growing INSIDE of ME!
-
i thought there wasn't anything left to discuss after this statement.. to those who say "adaption instead of abortion": it's one thing to abort an undeveloped fetus in the state, in the time, where you hardly notice it (well "hardly" the system goes crazy. i was told it's like being on drugs, but in the early state it's not like you feel the baby kicking around and stuff like that). it's another thing, to carry the child 9 month in you and finnally give birth to it, wich is a unique experience (from the most wonderful thing that happend in your life to traumatizing) and then just give it away. i think once you gave birth, you should rather keep the child. i beleive that the child will know on a subconscieous level, that it was given away.

could someone explain the american and english school systems to me (others are appreciated to)? there is often talk about 7th grade and the like, but nobody ever explained those things to me troughoutly. EDIT: what's the difference between university and collage? in germany the marks 5&6 are both negative, right? what's the big difference between them, if there is one? here's the austrian. (no kangoorus, we speak german. just because it's often mistaken for australia) we enter school at the age of 6. -4 years elementary school then (usually at the age of 10) EITHER -4 years Hauptschule (translates to "mainschool") OR -4 years AHS (general educating higher school) "Unterstufe" (roughly "lower level" better maybe undergrade) these 8 years are mandatory from their (usually at the age of 14) -people from Hauptschule usually take a polytech year, because you aren't allowed to work below the age of 15 and then enter apprenticeship as a mechanic or something -most people from AHS take 4 years of AHS "Oberstufe" (probably translates like upper grade) after those 4 years you do a big final examination called the Matura. -alternatively you can do 5 years of a wide variety of BHS (~profession educating higher school) regardless if you come from Hauptschule or AHS (although AHS is much harder so it's easier if you come from there) there are BHS for electronics, chemistry, construction, hotel management, ... the 5 year BHS also ends with a Matura -there also is a 4 year option for BHS wich doesn't end with Matura the marks you can get range from 1 to 5, where 5 is negative. if you got a 5 in the end of the year in any subject, you have to repeat THE WHOLE year (well newly you can advance with one 5 under certain circumstances, but never with two 5s.) generally spoken if you got one or two 4s you are average. only 1s is about impossible. in AHS grades are called 1 to 8. so if you are 15, go to an AHS and never repeated a class you are probably in the 5th or 6th grade. if you are at a BHS at the same age, you are in the 1st or 2nd grade BHS. the subjects in AHS are the same for everybody: German, English and Math are the main subjects. either from 3rd or from 5th you have to take another language probably Latin or French, but Italian and Spanish are also common. Besides that the subjects are: geography, biology, musical education (suprisingly enough you don't learn to play instruments here), "artistic" (in lack of a better word) education (you draw and paint and stuff), pyhsical education, physics (grade 2 to 8), chemistry (grades 4,7&8), uhm "~craft" education (grades 1&2), history (grade 2 to 8), informatics (grade 5), psychology/philosophy (grade 8) and religion (all grades, but it's mandatory, if you aren't on a katholic private school), some people also have geometric drawing not sure why or where though. on BHS the subjects are very individual. you still got most of the above stuff, but to a much lesser degree. after school, or after you turned 18 (wichever comes later) you need either to do 8 month military service (our army is pathetic. we have a dozend 30 year old interceptors. recently the purchase of new ones was a HUGE issue. it seems we'll buy 18 Eurofighters, planned were 24, 18 is a compromise, because everybody called bloody murder on wasting that much money on something as unneccessary. the producer even grants us priority, because they are afraid we'll cancle the order...) or you can alternatively do a whole year social services (like in an old peoples home or working with handicapped people), if you are male. if you want higher education, the most common means is one of the universities. they used to be free of charge, but since we got that new government it's about 800̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì per year, if your parents earn somewhat decent. it caused a big uproar (still is). since if you're parents don't earn too much you now get financial support from the government i think it's pretty okay (to have or not to have 200̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì a month :D ) that's about it. hope some of you find it interesting and looking forward to know about your systems.

the metric system rocks what is wrong with you people?

oh not sure what's 7th class though. how old are you usually in 7th grade? if you use metric in science class, then every american, who goes to highschool, is able to use it when it matters. in day to day use it simply doesn't matter anyway. -
so not true. the boyfriend of my sister is persian so i learned pretty much about iran in the last couple of years. Iran was ruled by a pro-west dictator about 20 years ago. In that time religion had much less power. eventually the corrupt Shah was overtthrown in 1979 by the religious leaders of the country. since then Iran is a republic. as an important sidenote, Persians are shiiten, whereas all other moslems are shintoits. (don't ask, what's the differenc, because i don't know.) Iran has a different culture then say the iraq. shintos are mainly Arabs, whereas shiits are Persian. well anyway.. when the shiintos gained power, naturally things changed. probably the most famous is the veil. before that women didn't need to wear one, and it wasn't accepted easily, especially by intelectual women and students. from 1997 till 2005 the president of iran came form the liberal reformer party, but he was unable to set himself through against the since the end of the shah regim strong religious fundamentalists. because of that the current president was elected in a close vote. he (as you know) is known as a religious hardliner, but he was mainly voted (in an election with an noteable low vote turnout) because he addressed the problems of the common people like unemployement and povertry. that's about what i know. bottom line is, that i wouldn't say, that the majority of persian support religious extremists. so back to the actual topic. i believe, that behind americas numerous military activities lies a strong economical motivation. the enormous weapons industry isn't particular uninfluental and every war adds to their budget. there are no shinto's in Iran (well maybe about 3), there maybe a few sunis. I will edit out the part about the majority and say simply strong etreemist support. gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh :wall: whatever lol 1.50$ per gallon? over here it's 'bout 1.10̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì per liter, but they are complaining as well. i say, do it as i do: just don't have a car =) :D (yah i know, it's eays to say that, when you live in a city.) i wouldn't agree on that per se.i feel sometimes it might be worth saving a single person at great expense (although not on all costs) secondly i'm not sure if i'd call stem cells millions the same way then full grown people. then again (and i don't know more about that discussion, then i just googled for http://stemcells.nih.gov/info/basics) using those embryonic stem cells doesn't feel right. that's at least my first impression. adult stem cells seem fair game to me.

Well you don't know that it didn't have anything to do with his nationality, things are taught in different ways in other countries. As well as the fact english probably wasn't his first language. Perhaps your parents should pack you off to Turkey to see how you get along there... well a) i'm sure english wasn't his first language, neither is mine. B) mathematics are probably the same in (gosh.. how is the country on asia minor called?) c) the other turk in the class didn't have that sever problems he really wasn't a great thinker. you should have seen it. it was hilarious. the whole class laughed, wich made the teacher mad (probably the only positive thing you could say about him. it really made him angry, when people laughed about somebody elses failures.) usually he would get mad, when somebody made errors, but in the case of ÃÆÃââââ‰â¬Åmar you could see, that he knew it wasn't laziness.

how can you do calculations like gas pressure or idk kinetic energy in the imperial system? must be pretty complicated. i mean you do that in school all the time. E=(mv^2)/2 [(pound ft^2)/s^2]=([pound]*[ft^2/s^2])/2 ft per second? hm.. would work as well, guess the problem would just be the conversion between say miles and feet. how many feet has a mile? is there something like ft^3? thinking about it, you could do all calculations also in the imperial system. just with the mentioned handicap. EDIT: the again using floating kommas you could basically nullifiy that handicap. temperature is of course a concern, since the kelvin scale is obviously superior to Fahrenheit, but since Kelvin are based on celsius, i guess you could come up with something similar for fahrenheit. how much ̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâðF are 0K? -

don't know too much about all those tech stuff, but i had a passive bass and now i have an active. never want to have a passive again. just buy some recharchable 9V accus and a decent loading device. although of course batteries usually have more juice then accus.
