  1. Let me repeat this, even though others have said it, because I think it is so important: Left-click attack monsters higher level than me. As for others... - Increase the size of the obstacles in the Ape Atoll agility course (seriously, once I never have to go back there I'll be happy) - Ability to turn "Do-x" off if I want to - Untradeable pots able to be stored in familiars - An option for my familiar to always attack the monster I'm attacking (because I really need another thing to have to pay attention to while slaying) - Spec bar always visible (not a big problem for me thanks to multiple mouse buttons, but it can still be annoying) - Make the prayer icon by the mini-map only affect the prayers on the quick-pray menu (for example, if I'm using piety and rapid heal, clicking on the icon turns off both, even if only Piety is selected as a quick-prayer) - Keep my weapon on the same attack style whenever I switch to it, even if the weapon I switched from doesn't have that attack style. All I can think of right now.
  2. Well, I'll have to see how the quest itself goes. At first, I didn't want them to eliminate an old quest, but now that I've read the blog I understand and mostly agree with them. I just wonder what precedent this sets for removal of future quests.
  3. How does this method work? I'm asking because I'm going to train there soon. If you can just link me to a post about it that would be fine. Take out your pouches and a large stack of fire runes to pay the banking fee, then fill up the rest of your bank completely. Then, every time you bank, hit the deposit-all button, which will bank everything in your inventory except the fire runes and pouches -- that way, you don't have to bank every stack of runes individually, saving time.
  4. I have to agree about the untradeable rewards -- there's no game imbalance if you have more than one of them, and having to reorder things around them gets a bit annoying. Even weirder -- I used to have two ectophials. When talking to the ghost who gives them out, I clicked out of the conversation and she gave me another. I had two in my inventory, put them both in my bank, and later one of them disappeared. That is really bizarre to me -- why give us two of something then just take it away? I don't want unlimited space because then the fast ZMI tactic is moot -- organization is somewhat of a concern of mine, but I know where everything is.
  5. As far as I know, no one knows what it is for sure. Just craft ~100 or so ess and note how many nature runes you get -- that'll give you a good estimate.
  6. If you're wrong, maybe it's Zaros GWD boss? Zaros wasn't involved directly in the God Wars -- his demise and Zamorak's rise to power is what caused the God Wars in the first place. (Sorry, the whole Zaros GWD thing is a huge pet peeve of mine.)
  7. The only improvement that I can think of with your stats would be stewing for overloads, but that might not be necessary. Fire Cape will make your kills slightly faster, but if you have any of the Ardougne capes, the stab and prayer bonuses could be useful. Armadyl is probably useless unless ranging -- there's just too much negative attack bonus.
  8. Well, I've been back on RuneScape after somewhat of a hiatus. I lost interest in the game over the summer for various reasons, and I've decided that I want to come back to the game for a while. I bought membership about a week ago and I've been doing a little bit of playing since -- not too much, but some. It's odd -- I took a hiatus over the summer and I'm coming back to it now that I'm back in school, but I believe that I can keep a good balance of things, having gotten good at time management. I know this isn't much to say, but I figured that I'd breathe a little life into this neglected blog.
  9. A cannon allows some tasks to go insanely fast (I did a 235 dagannoth task in about 15 minutes yesterday) -- it does cost, but it's definitely worth it. For a task like Dagannoths, you'll use 4-5k per hour (but each task will last maybe 1/4th that), while for something like black demons it's more like 2-3k an hour. Now, on paper, that sounds like a lot, but when you consider how much faster tasks go, meaning you can spend more time on better profiting tasks or making money, it's easily worth it. Also, you probably want to get your ranged level up to par with your other combat stats, and that'd help. Also, I would recommend getting higher summoning. 89 for geyser titan is what I recommend, though getting higher is definitely worth it. As soon as you get enough charms, I would get to 89 -- I get MUCH more use out of a geyser titan than out of a unicorn. After that, level to 95 when you have the charms, then 96, then 99. Those are longer term goals, but I would say get 89 as soon as possible. A Geyser Titan helps out a lot on multi-combat tasks, and it gives ranged xp, which I think you'd probably want. Do you use piety? If not, I recommend using it for almost all tasks (the only ones that I wouldn't use it on are enemies with low defence such as dust devils and fire giants) because of the same reason as the cannon -- it costs a lot, but saves a lot of time.
  10. Do Legacy of Seergaze and take bloodveld off your block list. The mutated bloodvelds near the blood altar are amazing xp. Also, take black demons off -- killing them with protect from melee, piety, and a cannon is very fast. Set a cannon in the middle of the Black Demon room in Taverly dungeon and lure them near. Also, definitely read Zarfot's "Mega Salyer Guide 5" in the RSOF. There is a ton of information about slayer there. Those are the main things I can think of off-hand.

  12. I'm downloading it right now and if I have the chance, I might play it a bit later today to see what I think. Was this developed by Jagex or just published by them?
  13. I am P2P -- that's what coming back from the hiatus meant. As for the skill, I want to train it, I was just looking for good ways to without having to use a team (it's been forever since I've done things in the game in teams, and I hate working with other people unless I have to). So, if I understand what others are saying, for now I should do c6 small or medium floors until I get up to level 50 or so, then start rushing lower floors so I can get to the higher xp floors sooner. Does that sound good? Also, when I get a second bind, should I bind a platebody or leatherbody? I've read that some people do the second for solo to give you a little more flexibility with defence, but I'm not sure.
  14. Zamorak mages, definitely. Also, if you use Zamorak brews, they restore a small amount of prayer each dose that you take. Another thing that most people don't know. I would still bring the same number of prayer potions to the task, however.
  15. Super sets are one of those things that you should always use on slayer tasks. Interestingly enough, if you can get some Zamorak Brews, use those in place of Super Attacks -- they give a slightly higher attack boost (1 or 2 points) which most people don't know about -- the loss in hp and defence is meaningless since you're praying.
  16. It's probably worth it to piety everything in slayer -- however, for some assignments (like spiritual mages), I go with superhuman strength since I don't feel like piety is needed (you hit a lot on spiritual mages as it is -- how much more accuracy do you need?) and piety is a large money drain. So it is worth it, I just prefer not to use it as I don't feel it's necessary.
  17. Well, assuming about 45 minutes for the task, 70 prayer, 20 prayer bonus, no holy wrench... 22.5 prayer potion doses for protect from magic. If you decide to use Superhuman strength (10% prayer), that would be another 11.25 doses. 45 would cover you for piety for the entire task. So, to answer the question, 6 with just protect from magic, 9 with protect from magic and superhuman strength, 17 for protect from magic and piety. Of course, I would take a few extra potions just in case -- you don't want to risk running out of prayer. As for a familiar, it can be helpful, but ultimately isn't all that necessary. Combat familiars die surprisingly quickly to the mages and the mages die too fast for the familiar to do all that much damage. EDIT: I just noticed that I used the wrong prayer bonus (you'd have 22, not 20), but the difference is only about 6.7%, so it's not that large. The numbers I posted above are slight overestimates, which is a good thing here.
  18. So, what I'm thinking I'll do is go and find all the resource dungeons that I can, play Tears of Guthix, then continue raiding. So, the best method for going through the floors (once I reach level 50 or so) would be about the first 40% C1, the next 40% C6 small, and the last 20% C6 medium? Even for solo? I haven't tried any medium dungeons solo, but some say that they're a little too large to be efficient when playing solo.
  19. I've come back from a hiatus and I'm looking at training up dungeoneering. I prefer doing things solo, so don't tell me to get a team -- I want to do as much as I can solo. I'm only 24 dungeoneering at the moment, so I have a few questions about a few things. 1) Should I go and unlock the resource dungeons as soon as I can for the xp? 2) Should I do the first floors (say, first 50%) complexity 1 then switch to complexity 6 for the rest? Or should I stick to complexity 6 on all floors for now? At what level does rushing through the lower floors become worth it? 3) Are medium dungeons worth doing solo or should I stick with small? Like I said, I plan on sticking to solo for now, so I'd prefer answers that directly deal with soloing. Telling me to go with a team is useless as I want to play solo.
  20. Teleport to Ape Atoll, go down the stairs to the area with the gorillas and the nearby altar, find and climb down a trapdoor, and there are some zombie monkeys. Simply take off your greegree, pray protect melee, and click on a prayer potion every couple minutes for good melee xp without paying much attention.
  21. what would the point of the headband be? to boost your gem bolts? To translate: the headband isn't needed for the extra LP from the EEE special.
  22. Well, I find cutting ivy relaxing, as well as mining gold in the LRC. Alchemy, like suggested above, works as well. You can AFK combat training by bringing prayer gear and fighting zombie monkeys under the area where Ape Atoll teleport takes you -- you just have to click on a prayer potion every so often. There are a lot more ways, but none are coming to mind off the top of my head.
  23. I am seething at what should have been the third perfect game this season. With one out left, Armando Galarraga of the Detroit Tigers (my home team, but bias has no effect here) gets a ground ball on Jason Donald, runs to cover first base as Cabrera throws the ball to him. Donald is ruled safe, even though replays show that he was out by about a step. Jim Joyce, the umpire, admits that he made the wrong call. Everyone knows the wrong call was made, but no one can do a damn thing about it. Am I the only person who sees this debacle ending with MLB instituting more use of replay (which I'm not sure what I think of)?
  24. Not to mention that you can only use herbcall every 60 seconds.
  25. Herblore -- it's really expensive, so I'm saving as much as I can by using as many genie lamps as I can on it.
