  1. About that...does the titan only do damage at distance when range prayer is down/up clsoe when melee is down? I used to take tbirds to restore run energy on the way down before the agility update, and I don't remember them ever hitting through prayer(then again they're tbirds). I don't know from experience -- all I know of it is a youtube video I saw of it. (Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f5H-QYQKUs )
  2. I use adblock plus, so I don't get any ads here. Also, I got the same problem with the pointer earlier today using WMP. This forum and that program are the only things that I've ever noticed this little glitch with. (It took me a bit to respond because I pretty much forgot that I'd started this thread)
  3. Does the dough buy at all? I dont mind them being on buy while im killing blue dragons/Farming runs. The dough (from what I remember) buys just fine, the dishes just take forever to buy.
  4. To kill TDs at maximum speed (using a steel titan), I think that SGS is almost required, since you're not getting the healing of a unicorn.
  5. Pie dishes buy so slowly that it's ridiculous. I think it took me a week to buy 1k pie dishes in the GE, so unless you have a few extra offers in GE that you don't mind not using for a while, don't make those.
  6. And in my post I said "Any sane person NOT WEARING BANDOS" will use Verac's skirt/proselyte plate.
  7. Not really. I am quite sane, yet I don't use SW cape, or V skirt all the time when I'm praying. Last abby demon task, I turmoiled the whole task, and used 10 p pots for 180 abby demons. Also, I was slightly AFK at times, and I only have +9 prayer. Increased speed is worth the extra 1-2 p pots I used. What were you using instead of the skirt/soul wars cape?
  8. I see some huge flaws in the math you present here. Look over these -- I saw the same mistakes in the claws and the Bandos calculations. First, you say that each spec gives 15 prayer points and 300 hp, meaning 180 prayer points and 1200 hp per hour. The mistake there should be obvious. Then, you say that the SGS saves 15k in potions and 5k in food, for a total of 30k saved per hour. You say later that it saves 20k per hour. Make up your mind which numbers you want to try and use. Again, obvious mistake is obvious. The next flaw I see is that Bandos will not give a player +2 prayer -- any sane person who's not using Bandos and is using Turmoil will use at least Verac's Skirt, probably along with Proselyte Plate, so you'll LOSE a prayer bonus by using Bandos, making it more expensive. I'm not even going to work out the numbers on that -- you do it again and see what you come up with. EDIT: Also, you refer to Bandos as "claws" at least twice -- could you make it more obvious you didn't do much more than copy and paste with slight changes to the formulas?
  9. There's also the possibiliy of using superglass make, which profits, but it's more a mix of crafting and magic xp than just magic xp. I also like superheating gold while mining concentrated gold, but that's another multitasking way to raise magic. None of these can match the pure speed of plank make, but they are alternatives to consider.
  10. From what I have read, a steel titan is better. The speed increase seems to be worth it, though this is all from hearsay and not from personal experience. As for the worlds, someone else will have to tell you -- I haven't been to the dungeon in forever outside of spiritual mages tasks.
  11. But if you use Darklight's spec, it will lower their defence by 10%.
  12. I was talking about for someone WITHOUT soul split. The problem with using food is that it takes up inventory spaces. For example, if you want to kill abyssal demons with piety, a task of 200 takes ~3 super sets and 13 prayer potions using an SGS. Without one, you either need to bring a beast of burden so you can carry food and potentially drops, or use a bunyip, which doesn't allow you the extra room to actually carry drops until you've gone through a few potions. With Soul Split, yes, the whole thing becomes a moot point, but if you don't have it, getting all the healing you need can be difficult. I can survive many tasks using just an SGS, no healing familiar or food needed. I will admit that I don't have any personal experience using claws, but it seems that it would be difficult to have all the healing you need for any given task without soul split.
  13. If you have 92 prayer, then I can see your argument. Otherwise, without the ability of Soul Split, you're going to either rely on food, healing familiars, or protection prayers without an SGS, which depending on what you're killing can be difficult.
  14. Possibly bad luck -- I had a run recently that ended within 5 seconds of me entering the room. I haven't tried since then. Sometimes, you just have horrible luck. Though, if you weren't using piety and super defence potions, there's the problem.
  15. I loved it -- the minigame part (seriously, they should make some sort of minigame out of the management) was fun, even though I've only played it once, and I loved being able to summon squirrel minions. Squirrels are some of my favorite animals, so I really enjoyed that part.
  16. you don't need piety for that room. food + super restores work fine. Well, I learned something new today. Still, I would think that it would definitely be an advantage to have piety (and definitely not just for that part of this quest -- it's the most useful prayer until the high 90s for curses).
  17. You need 70 prayer to use piety in order to get to the fight -- one of the rooms will kill you if you don't have piety activated. Now, as for the fight itself, I would say that you could do it -- the most likely method that you'd succeed with is using ruby bolts (e), but that is risky (you're taking more damage than Nomad dishes out already, which is just crazy) and dependent on luck -- however, that's probably your best bet. If you were to try melee, you'd probably need a Zamorakian Spear, as Nomad is weak to stab attacks. As for specific strategies, look through the Player-Made Guides forum to find some -- there are several written about taking on Nomad, so take some of the information from there and see what you can do.
  18. Any barrows platebody, Verac's skirt, Karil's top and bottom, Zamorakian Spear, soul wars cape/fire cape. Buying a fury right now would be a little difficult, so it might be best to buy a glory and use it until it comes to some equilibrium price. Also, if you're willing to pay for faster slayer xp, then use proselyte plate with Verac's skirt and piety most of your tasks. EDIT: Can't believe that I forgot this, but buy a cannon and thousands of cannonballs. They will speed up your xp so much that it's ridiculous -- Dagannoth tasks take about 15 minutes while still getting ~20k slayer xp, to name just one example.
  19. Unless you're slaying on task, I would believe. I don't think that Verac's defence breaking effect is better than the +15% of the slayer helm. I'm of the opinion that the saradomin sword is the overrated item -- Zamorakian Spear is just barely worse for crush attacks, but at the same time it is a great stab weapon, giving you (almost) the best of both worlds.
  20. While the information is interesting, Morionic, he's looking for 75-80 cooking, making almost all of those out of reach. I didn't think of wines, though. Those pretty well could be faster, I just don't know enough about them to have recommended them.
  21. Probably making admiral pies using the pie bake spell or cooking monkfish -- my guess would go to the pies, however.
  22. Yes, oddly enough. I have never been able to recreate this with any other site or program. EDIT: I just remembered -- I did have this problem once before with Windows Media Player, but I think I only had it once with that program, while I have it all the time here.
  23. I'm using a mouse -- the cursor keeps jumping around whether I use the mouse or the stylus, however. If it matters, I'm using Firefox on Windows Vista. I'm not sure if it happens in other browsers, but I don't want to switch away from using Firefox.
  24. Whenever I'm on these forums, I have a weird problem with the pointer. It continuously jumps around the screen, mainly to places on the right side, about halfway down from the top of the screen. I have a HP Touchsmart laptop and whenever it jumps to the side, it shows the cursor that appears when I use the stylus. I have never had this problem with any other site, and it still happens even when I have this forum open but a different window on top of it. Does anyone have a clue what this could be?
