  1. Yes, it makes it go a lot faster, and I think that it's worth it. Use a cannon, proselyte, z spear (not sure what works best if you don't have super antifires), pray protect/deflect melee and piety/turmoil. Go to Zanaris, set up your cannon, and let it rip, luring the dragons next to the cannon so it hits them as often as possible. I can get a full inventory plus war tortoise full of bones and hides in ~10 minutes. It'll take multiple trips, but it's decently profitable.
  2. All burners are the same. And it's spelled Gilded Altar (no "u" in gilded) -- sorry, but spelling mistakes drive me crazy.
  3. I would think it would be faster as filling up the coal bag probably takes less time to fill it than it takes to superheat more ores. If filling it up takes less 2/3 the time as superheating a full inventory of runite and coal, then it saves time.
  4. All of them? In that case, when did they change that?
  5. I think it's ~23 hours. If you're waiting longer and he tells you to come back tomorrow, I don't know what to tell you.
  6. At your levels, it's possible that a leaf-bladed sword is better than a whip. The dragons are weak to stab, but I'm not sure how big the difference is and when exactly a whip becomes better than the leaf-bladed sword. It's definitely worth trying, though.
  7. Yes, though when I'm thinking through things without playing the game directly, I use the old system. I'm completely used to seeing it, though. It took me about 15 minutes of playing after the update to get used to seeing it and it's easily ingrained now.
  8. I agree with the above -- definitely use fast sc, just read all their rules beforehand. They have some very strict rules (there is an exact procedure for every single game) and you have to follow them, so read and reread until you get all the rules. It's a little confusing, but I think the average game is ~12 minutes or so, making it worth it.
  9. I was part of that club until just recently. Just got 99 Constitution at 95 Slayer. I have about 1.4 million constitution experience before I'm out of the club. I like thinking that I have pretty balanced stats (except for dungeoneering, but I just need the amount of time that I'll have free during the summer to get it up), and I've never really thought that I needed to go after a skillcape specifically.
  10. Okay, it seems that the charms are the main factor that slows me down there. Is it worth picking them up? Lava titan pouches aren't as good for xp as geyser titan pouches, but maybe spending less money is worth it. Also, what about my question about claws?
  11. http://forum.tip.it/topic/254632-daily-activities/ That guide has most of them.
  12. Like most people, it all depends for me. I break up tasks into different "categories" in my mind, so my approach really varies with the task, though there is the occasional bit of overlap. Money tasks -- I don't really power through these, I go for the amounts of money that you can make on them, which slows down xp but there's a ton of money to be made there Examples: All dragons, aberrant spectres Powertraining tasks -- I go all out on the offensive -- prayer, cannon, combat familiar if I can Examples: Dagannoths, Suqahs, black demons I don't strictly follow that all the time, but I tend to follow it pretty closely. I piety just about everything, so I'm further towards the powertraining end of the spectrum.
  13. Well, slayer is now my highest non-combat stat (and only lags behind my melees, constitution, and ranged). It's not a stretch to say that it's my favorite skill in the game. (Got it on an iron dragons task, I love super antifires, they let me absolutely destroy pretty much all dragons, and I've had several dragon assignments in the last couple days) School just ended, and tomorrow will be fun with moving out and going back home, but that's the way things work. I'll have a lot of time to play, but I won't be no-lifing it -- just playing more than I do right now.
  14. What's the fastest way to kill TzHaar for tasks? I kill the 149s and 133s (I think those are the levels) using d claws, spec restores, and a geyser titan, but it still feels slow sometimes. Should I ignore the obsidian charms, or is the money that they save by not having to buy and use water talismans worth it? Also, I just got dragon claws recently and something is bothering me about the spec. Often, I'll use the spec on a monster and only two hit splats will appear, usually 0-7 or something similar. I read the entry on the spec on RSwiki, but I'm still not sure what exactly is going on. Is it supposed to just show the two splats when it "misses"?
  15. At tormented demons, the only reason you'd use a combat familiar is for the steel titan's Steel of Legends special move, which just tears them apart as long as they're not praying range when you use it. The reason that combat familiars suck so much, to you, is that you're 73 summoning, and the really good combat familiars start at 89 summoning.
  16. Reading the OP, it doesn't sound like it should be the 4 hour limit, as it sounds like he bought it from another player, not on the GE. @i_D_r -- The 4 hour rule is from when you start buying. Say that you try to buy 25k essence, and you get ~1k right away, but the offer takes a total of 3.5 hours to finish. If you were to put it back in the GE to sell, it'd sell 4 hours from the first buy, which is only 30 minutes from when the offer was completed, making it seem like you got past the 4 hour rule.
  17. Katagon Spear and 125 Katagon arrows. I have not gotten a single better drop -- then again, I'm only level 17 dungeoneering.
  18. Go through every single floor that you can, reset, go through every floor again, reset, repeat.
  19. Here are a couple (haven't had time for more than two dungeons so far today): Do you mind the images or should I format the data next time?
  20. As a nitpick, gargoyles are 75 slayer, not 70. I agree that Slayer is a good source of charms -- I've rarely hunted for charms outside of slayer and I have ~92 summoning banked with 90 slayer (bonus xp weekend from 74-89, summoning came out when I was already ~80 slayer)
  21. Well, the discussion in another thread is making me think that my theory about divine/elysian eventually going up is wrong. I'm fine with that -- I'd much rather they go down in value than up. I'm just not sure why corp is weak specifically to spears.
  22. Zaros(no flaming lol). But seriously Zaros wants revenge I'd imagine, so why not him? Because he disappeared before the God Wars started, so he wasn't involved in them. The dungeon is a remnant of the God Wars, in which Zaros' armies were almost completely annihilated, with only some of his followers, mostly the Mahjarrat, surviving. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for Zaros to get involved in things, but that just doesn't fit with the current lore at all.
  23. I've thought about this before, but here's what hangs me up on it: where do we go from what's already in GWD? The four biggest players in the God Wars are already there with their most trusted generals/commanders fighting for them. K'ril is reputed to be able to level entire cities without being spotted, Kree'arra is the most powerful of the Aviansie race, General Graardor and Commander Zilyana are the leaders of their respective armies. Lorewise, where can they go from here? Can you really go up from there?
  24. No, because apparently all non spear damage is halved by 2. I know that whip damage is, but I never heard this about non-spear damage until the skill was released. I thought that it was stab damage that wasn't reduced.
