Ack, this is giving me a headache #-o . I suppose I overstated (or at least appeared to) my statement that everyone seeks attention, or needs it, in game. Most of what we all do is very subconscious (in the same way that people who aren't racists can still have racist subconscious thoughts), so I will admit that you guys aren't the stereotypical "attention seekers". So, I suppose I concede that you guys don't outright "seek attention", but I know everyone here likes the feeling, and I'll leave it at that before I spend 2 hours of my day on one topic #-o . As a side-note: When I said "No" for my response, I was just kind of laughing at your statement that people never seek attention in the game. As players are human beings, that's a fairly risible statement, as no matter how holy and mature someone is, at one point or another in the game they will do an action based on a primary drive for attention (or at least secondary). That's all. It's just that you said "never" instead of "almost never". Eh, oh well. I'm done.

Before I start my long responses (damn slow computer...), I'd like to commend this man: He admits that he does it a little. He doesn't do it much, and most it is is most likely subconscious, but he admits the truth that he, like everyone else, needs attention. Thank you for being one of the few. Now, for the pain... You may desire attention more subconsciously than conciously, and I'm sure you're a great person at all, but don't tell me you've never had times when you just loved the feeling of being better than someone else in this game. Don't tell me you've never done something for the feeling of being a great player. As I said, humans, by their nature, desire attention. I'm sure you're all great people you don't usually consciously desire attention, but we all do at some point or another. Whether we play for fun, or to be competitive, we all have our times where we really just want and love to have attention and recognition in the game. You really need to understand that there are players out there with vastly different life experiences from your own. Ya'll who keep saying you never seek attention are full of crap. No other way to put it. Humans, by our very nature, desire attention. Runescape players almost always have a heightened need to seek attention over the general population, through getting high levels, getting cool items, etcetera. Honestly, why do you wear that skill cape around in times where it's completely worthless to be using it? You wear the cape because you want people to know you have a 99, you wear it for the feeling of being one of the best. Don't deny it, 'cause whether it's subconcious or concious thought, you, I, everyone wants attention. Me, I'm a perfect example of what you all probably are but don't want to admit: though an honest and helpful player, I have more than my share of attention seeking needs in the game. As an example, before I left the game, I always loved to play Castle Wars, being the big game-saving Barrager on the team. Games got boring and repetitive after a while, but the feeling I got from my teamates shocked faces when I pulled out the Ice Cubes of Genocide gave me a great feeling, one that kept me in the game for a great while longer. Months in fact, of burning excess runes and playing solely to be the star of the small-sided Castle Wars game. I loved being the center of attention, and so do you, so stop denying it and move on.

No, I am an agnostic for the sole purpose of being open-minded. I believe it is possible that there is a god of some kind (or multiple), but I'm not so close-minded that I actually think I know the Truth. Most atheists admit to at least partially allowing that there could be an existence of some form of god as well, for none of us (NONE OF US, neither you nor I) know anything at all about the supernatural. You are right in saying that it is close-minded to believe with all your heart that there can't be a god (though man-made gods can be logically disproved), but that's being just as close-minded as assuming that there has to be a god.
