I'd say superstring theory does a better job of it than the Christian God, but that's just me :-w . The problem with believing in God just because it makes the universe easier to understand is the fact that you're relying on the belief that your God is real, and the belief that everything in the Bible is absolute truth, which (if I must say) most likely isn't true. Believing that your God has the answers, just like every other theistic religion with the exact same viewpoint, isn't really looking for answers; you're just accepting a random one blindly (blindly, being that all god's are given properties to fit the need of explaining the universe, without regard for why these properties are chosen), just to ease your pain of not really knowing what the universe, and the time before and after death, are really like. My phrasing of it would be "taking the easy way out". On a side-note: just wondering, were you using "you" in the general sense, or "you" directed at me? I think it's the former, just want to make sure :P .

That's a fairly general statement... can you back it up? Hehe, "study" may be a stretch for some people (which I believe is your point), but atheism stems from the rejection of religion and man-made gods. To reject something, you must understand what it is first. If one does not understand the god(s) they are rejecting, they are not truly the atheist they seem to think they are.

I'm agnostic, and I bet I know a hell of a lot more about the Bible and Christianity than you do. For the love of God, stop the pointless generalizing and stereotyping :| . Plenty of us agnostics (and athiests), if not most of us, grew up with at least a decent Christian background (me, I've got 8 years of Christian schools to back that up), and we later make the decision to diverge from Christianity (or whatever religion we're affilitated with), for whatever reason. Athiests and agnostics become what they are from the study of religion and religious beliefs, not for the lack of it.

o_O Where are you, Harvard? When the Writing section was added. It's just... way too subjective to be useful. Most schools still go by the 1600 scale when they look at scores, but they still look at the Writing score; they just don't put too much weight on it.

I said naturally man-made, and by that, I mean; dug up, then created into useable metals by MAN I believe in aliens, not UFO's The core of every last frikking planet is completely molten metal. The universe is abundant with metal. Basically, I don't get your logic. Who says that aliens couldn't use metal from their own planet? Heck, who says they have to use metal for their ships (though that is the most likely type of element/alloy/mixture to be used for spaceships from a human perspective)?

I got a 2120. [Haha, just noticed Azn's post :o, hopefully I improve on the second go around o_O.] I didn't study all that much, but I did take two classes. The first one didn't help much, but the second one shot my writing score up 120 points, 'cause I learned all the little tricks the SAT uses in the "what's wrong about this sentence?" sections, and I had a great writing teacher that year for English (got a 10 on the SAT essay, though I got a 6 [lowest twenty-five percentile] on the ACT essay :XD: ). Surprisingly, I got a 193 on the PSATs (my dad thinks I had a bad day, I dunno), but I went up 200 point from there, very much thanks to my boost in my writing score (CR and Math didn't change much more than 30 points). Your call, but don't stress about it or anything. Take a class if you're got the time and money, but I wouldn't do too much more than that than more recreational reading and making sure to pay attention in math class :wink: . Oh, and alansson, you can never run out of things to study for the SAT, but it's pretty hard to increase your score in each section more than 20 points no matter how hard you study :| .

No no, Ice Barraging with a group of people you've never met in your life, and getting called a noob as you kill 40 kids at a time. Now that's fun. Got boring after a while, but the 94 Magic thing kept me in the game for the last few months :) . That, and DK's, but obviously, like everything, it gets boring after a while #-o . Everyone likes everything in the beginning. Heck, I actually loved skilling for my first few months of playing. Different parts of the game slowly get boring at different rates for everyone (decently fast for myself), and thus everyone has different periods of time before they decide to quit, but it happens to everyone eventually :| .

Nah, I've just been looking at Ivy's (saw Yale, Princeton, Harvard, seeing Cornell today,.... God I hated Harvard in every way >_<), but I might look that one up :P .

Okay, I've been touring colleges, looking around the northeast. I've stayed at many different hotels this week, in many different areas. At each city/town I checked the newspaper (for, you know, the news). On the front cover of every diferent newspaper I read, every first story, every day of this week, was about the Harry Potter internet leaks. What. The. Hell. o_O.

O_O O_O Dude, I got like a 10% on that :lol: . Yes, I reak at that kind of stuff, I know >_<. Ya, mine was pretty much like that as well :lol: . Got a 25% male side as well. Oddly enough, I got a 10 out of 10 on the eyes test, and I thought I sucked at reading people :-k . Pretty weird when I saw that statement saying "people generally score higher on this than they expect to", which is exactly what happened o_O. That test isn't exactly perfect or anything though. Much of the comparison data was pretty vague, especially on stuff like the eyes section, where men and women score exactly the same, or the money part, where the difference between men and women is extremely minimal, and the only major differences occur between cultures, not genders. Doesn't exactly seem like a good idea either to go and say "You good at math, you man. You good at remembering junk, you woman". Dunno, just didn't like the vibe of the test- like it tried to look official, but it wasn't anywhere close :| . So ya, don't read too much into it.
