Took me a while to get over the fact that something I believed to be an inescapable and fundamental truth -that we don't have free will- was probably wrong. Other than that, I don't think I've had any major changes of opinion.

Don't worry, you'll get over it. I had a period when I was just completely depressed and self-hating for no reason last year (and a little in the years before that), but I've grown out of it. It's just something that happens sometimes when you're a teenager :| .

Practice sketching. Make it your goal to be a great at drawing by the end of the summer. That's one of my goals, and it's given me enough drive never to be bored :P . Me, I'm practicing how to draw manga. I look up tutorials online, and practice drawing different body positions. Often, I pick up one of my Bleach or Fullmetal manga volumes and sight draw a page to get a feel for the panels and styles. I figure out what I need to work on the most (currently, hands... damn they're hard to draw..) and I create a priority list. Though, if you don't want to learn how to draw, I'm probably boring you : :-w . That won't work :| .

Why? We can all agree he was a terrible human being, and his actions were in no way justified, but he saved Germany and raised it out of the rubble. If he had been content with what he had instead of expanding too far (that, and if he had avoided attacking US ships with U-boats), he might have made Germany one of today's top world powers. Probably not though, oh well :-w .

High IQs Laik? No, I wouldnt say so. More like it's a great group of well-informed people. You don't really see IQ directly come into play on a forum all that much :P . I'll admit that it wouldn't surprise me if the average IQ here was above normal, but these numbers are just hilarious :lol: .

Watching my brother's martial arts class, I learned how to get out of a ground-level headlock, get my opponent pinned on the ground under my legs, and snap his arm in two, all in one swift continuous move. Unfortunately, so did my brother.

A scorpion would freak me out, but everything else on that list probably wouldn't really get to me :thumbsup: (maybe the obvious small jump, but just a typical jolt of surprise). I can speak in front of a class, or a group of maybe even 50-70, but once the audience breaks 100 I'm screwed >_<. So public speaking, kind of. Roller coasters, especially the hills, scare the hell out of me though. I'll take a rollar coaster spiraling downwards at 300 mph over a straight drop on a coaster any day. I like my stomach where it belongs, not up my throat. Though surprisingly, I can take falls on log flumes :-k . I just can't stand the roller coaster falls. What, is it one of those "scare-the-hell-out-of-you-screaming-monstrous-face" flashes? Those are all over the internet. Sad thing is, once you've seen enough of them, even if you don't see the surprise coming it isn't all that scary. It's just the same thing over and over :| .

Yes, I get what you're saying I suppose. But that's why I said "with limits"- if you just give people the power to control as large an object they want with as much force as they want, well, that's bordering on asking for the power of omnipotence. Yawn. Here's a hypothetical conversation between you and another poster: Shorty: "Hey, I can control water! I can make ice shards!" Half the other posters: "Cool! I can control water too! And lava! Eh, most men, including those on this thread, are fine around women. I'm betting that most of the people on this thread (including me) just aren't as outgoing and daring when it comes to approaching women. On a totally random side-note inquiry, how "crushy" (or whatever made-up adjective form you want to use) were you towards your crushes though? I've had I believe one crush in my life, and I couldn't talk to her at all. Knew her in middle school. Back then me, my best friend Tommy, and her were the fastest kids in a grade of 1,000. We'd constantly race each other, especially on field day, but even when we were on level ground (figuratively, of course) I still wasn't able to communicate with her at all :XD: .

I don't get it, what's so great about telekinesis (if you have a limit to what you can lift)? What, you guys just hate having to get up to get the remote so much that that's the superpower you'd pick o_O? Flying would be cool (to an extent), and invisibility would be fun as hell. Neither require any superhero crud. But telekinesis? I just don't get it. (that, and reading minds just doesn't sound appealing. Things meant unsaid should stay unsaid).

Such as your water example. When you control the water in the manner you describes, you are actually using two powers, three if you want to make steam. The first power is the ability to psychicly control water molecules. The second is to disperse heat energy away from the water, to create ice. So, your "water vs. fire" scenario depends not on your ability to control the water, but a completely different thing- whether you can disperse heat energy from around the water faster than your pyrokenises using opponent can gather and/or generate it. Maybe at a distance from your opponent you could, but if your opponent is on fire I highly doubt ice shards would be able to get to him o_O.

You hate it because you thanked them for something trivial and simple- congratulating you on a number in a computer game. The phrase "no problem" is used when something is a problem or a burden, but is done in the hopes of aiding another. The phrase is used to set the mind of the helped person at ease, so as not to feel as if they're being bothersome by asking for or just receiving unrequested aid. Basically, just saying "Nice X level" doesn't give one the right to say "no problem", because it is already self-evident that it isn't a problem. Ya, I hate it too. It's like they want a medal for congratulating you or something.
