  1. Earthquake in San Francisco, 1989. EDIT: Checked Wiki like some others... ya, that was on there (it was a 7.1), along with a c**pload of other stuff o_O.
  2. OMG! Everyone, stop debating, this world issue has been solved because this guy's omniscient! Let's listen! First of all, Al Gore is just using that issue for his own gain. He's the most sanctimonious, sob politician of his time, and if he even believed half the c**p that came out of his mouth, he'd at least change his lifestyle somewhat. No one knows for sure what is the primary cause of global warming. If we did, this wouldn't be a hot button issue. How cute, again, he thinks he's omniscient. See above^. Let's see your evidence for why Global Warming is caused primarily by humans, besides "I saw an Inconvenient Truth! OMGZORZ!"
  3. In that case, unless the teenager was a [developmentally delayed], I'd put the teenager's opinion at a level superior to the younger kid's opinion. It's just a difference in age, life experience, knowledge, etc., that creates a gap in the validity of opinions. Of course, if two people are fairly close in age (<3 years or so, more for adults), it's much more difficult to compare opinions based on age. When the gap is wide it's very easy to see that the older voice will be more valuable, but as the gap between ages gets smaller the actual knowledge of the person gains value in comparisons.
  4. If you were referring to the "older, more experienced people" comment, I wasn't referring to myself or teenagers. I was referring to adults. In fact, I'd say that I'm in the "kids" category currently, as my life experience is minimal as well. So, thank you for the: " ", I appreciated it.
  5. Do you value the surgeons opinion in a medical case, or a hobo's? Now, would you say their opinions are equal? Or would you say that the opinion of the surgeon is superior? Oh, and in case you were wondering, this is not a matter of which being is superior, but which person's opinion is superior/more valuable. Kids' opinions are of little value when compared to those of older, more experienced people (in matters not pertaining to the kids themselves, of course, i.e. a study on what kids like for a marketing company). Get used to it.
  6. "It's not worth it, log out NOW!" ... "No, not tomorrow, NOW you moron! "
  7. Wow, you guys have great arguments. Hitler's attendent: "Dude, you just killed 6 million Jews! What the hell!?" Hitler: "Hey, at least I didn't do something even worse!" (mind you, this is pointed at a very small groups of posters on this thread, so if you think it's directed at you you're probably wrong).
  8. GOD I feel exactly the same way. I hate how I'm for some reason "supposed" to keep with any and all sports, when I absolutely hate being a spectator for pretty much all of them.
  9. Generally speaking, with age comes wisdom. Oh, and he definitely didn't miss the point... he hit your argument right on the head. By the way, go look up the definition of discrimination. Then think about how ludicrous it sounds for you to try and "stop any and all discrimination" :-$ .
  10. GRAW 2 #-o . That and Bleach :-w .
  11. 1. wikipedia is written by everday people. I can edit it if I see fit. 2. apparently you missed something here... Thank god this bothered somebody else. Now I dont have to put my head in the oven. It bothered the hell out of me, but you guys pretty much covered it :P . Anyways, to outline everything wrong with that post: 1) He thought I was fixing a spelling error, rather, I was emphasizing a word. 2) He fixed my "spelling error" by spelling the word the exact same way I did. 3) And... ya, it's wikipedia. Wikipedia. #-o I don't mean to be insulting lifemage, I just want you to understand that you interpreted my post a little off :P . I was merely saying that it was "synthetic diamond", not real diamond, in response to his post.
  12. I'm pretty sure that you did, but that doesn't mean you didn't make a grammar mistake. You said which is not correct grammar. You should have said Remember, right is an adjective, at least the way you are using it, and correctly is an adverb. :P Right can be an adverb  .
  13. Your right, we would all get battered by deloria. :ohnoes: Haha you're so funny. Go back to crying in your room and cutting your wrists like you normally do  Maybe my post did come across as egotistical but I'm willing to admit I do have a pretty big ego. Maybe most of you don't know the dangers of knocking someone out then having them bash their head of the pavement as they fall. If you don't, you should probably look into it.. It's a decent bit of info to have.. I guess I'm not holy enough to not think "better him than me".
  14. It seems with most other languages (especially the language I'm learning, Latin) have a well built structure with minimal exceptions and concrete rules for tense, mood, number, etc. English... it's like it pretends to have rules, when all it really is is a pile of exceptions and a heap of linking verbs :-k .
  15. I'm asked that occasionally.. I'm really tan so I suppose that's why. Yes, I do tan but most of my tan is from being outside. I'm red right now from working outside all day. But tanning feels great, especially on a cold day I've got a slight soccer tan... but it's always just around the knees and on the upper side of the forearms >_<. Literally, one half of my arm is intensly tan, and the other half is as pale as snow. Well, 1/4th of my arms are tan anyways. Upper arm doesn't get a tan, thanks to the fact that I wear a jersey :-k .
  16. What happened to the old days of the Dragon Longsword? I mean, look at the thing! It's by far the best looking weapon in the game.
  17. Oh meh God :o! If you're Japanese, can you do karate?
  18. Kids, don't try this at home.
  19. It's a direct quote so if wikipedia spelled it "synthetic" it's synthetic. Congratulations on making a total fool out of yourself in just 1 sentence. You pretty much maked my day actually, so thanks for that. Maked isn't a word either  :-s Why did you add "either"?
  20. Ah, smell the irony. :| :shame: No need to cut people down for your ego's sake.
  21. I can type my passwords in about a tenth of a second nowadays, but my typing speed in general hasn't improved all that much :| .
  22. No, you're thinking of the Philosopher's Stone :shame: .
  23. Del, it would've been nice if had worded that a little differently :| . I know you didn't mean it to come across as too egotistical (I think...), but that probably came out as one of the most egotistical posts I've seen >_<.
  24. Something like that! :D  and it costs how much?! "Synthetic" .
