My Biology teacher (or rather teachers... a married couple teachs our class, they each take turns on quarters..) has a strange tendency of making us pray for the first ten minutes of class, and then blaming it on us when we don't have enough time to finish our labs . -.- Eh, my other teachers are all pretty good, and my grades are fine in biology, so it's not too bad... just a ton of work. Well, there is my Morality teacher, who's so boring that I pretty much sleep every day in that class... I'm in the front row, and I'm the only one who ever seems to sleep, but it's practically impossible for me to even keep my eyes open when one combines second period and a boring lecture on the Church's views on who-knows-what -.- .

I only do it for school, but thats because its easier then carrying around a suitcase full of assignments all the time. Ya, I've always got mine in my pocket :-w . So much data... in such a tiny little place o_O! I've always got at least two pencils and pens as well, my wallet I bought in Mexico a few years ago, iPod shuffle (I prefer these way more... I don't need 10,000 songs, just a couple dozen, and with this I can have them in an even smaller package :P ), and of course, a bag of Skittles. Always got to have a bag of Skittles in my cargos, in case of an emergency.

Well, death is pretty much inevitable, so I don't really see how that goes along with fate. So fate is the fact that we have a beginning and end? That's more like common sense than fate :| . You used an example of being able to see how you died, right? Say, you learn that you're destined to die fighting in some war in the future? If you kill yourself right on the spot, that destiny that you're told is wrong. I'm saying that that destiny can't be correct (or maybe it was your destiny, until you knew about it and thus reacted to it), since it comes to be known in the physical world- if the future is known, it can be changed. We can never know what our fate is for it to be our true fate. Which is why I used it as an example to counter hobbit's ludicrous point that because we don't have immortality we can't have free will. It was sarcasm.

From our perspective, it is completely up to us. But through the continued series of cause-and-effect from the "beginning to the end" (whatever they are) one of omniscient nature could easily predict anything that will happen at any given moment, not just the beginning and ending. You could kill yourself right on the spot. Bam, "fate"'s wrong. If you were shown the circumstances for your death, there are a myriad of ways that you could avoid it...

Make sure not to have some cliche or stupid name, like something with "dragon" in it. Oh, and make sure the name isn't egotistical. Nothing worse than having a name like "I owned you" or "Master sniper" when you lose a Team Elimination game of GRAW 3-50.

Of course fate exists. No one who has any contact with us or our universe knows what our, or anyone's, fate is, but it exists. If we knew what was fated, it would no longer be fate, as we would then react in a different way then if we didn't know our fate, and thus change our fate.

But objects fall at the same speed when there isn't gravity involved... a feather and a brick dropped on the moon hit the ground at the same speed... Dude, they fall at the same speed when there is gravity involved too :P .

My theory: Since the present is already beyond the past in our dimension, when we travel back in time we go to another dimension, so any affects on the past wouldn't be paradoxical :wink: . The wheel would probably get bigger :-w . It could take a while for us to fully understand the Big Bang >_<. What falls faster, a smaller object or a bigger object? :wink:

It's not that it was biased, it's just that the wording was confusing on the "fourth dimension" article. They start off by calling the fourth dimension time in accordance with special and general relativity, and then they go on to describe it as a spacial dimension. Read it yourself, I can't make heads or tails of whether the article agrees with me or not #-o .

Wiki just confused me more -.- . I couldn't tell if they were agreeing with me or not.

I thought that time wasn't a dimension, physicists just use it like it is one in their explanations to make it easier to understand. Basically, we think of time as another dimension when we try to understand things like General Relativity, but it really isn't a dimension on it's own. Though, I just vaguely remember hearing that somewhere, so if anyone could provide evidence for or against that I'd be grateful :-w .
