  1. Lol. Now, if only you were openly gay.... Imagine. Coming out of the closet THAT way, but being embarrased about RS. Hey, you never know :P I'd look twice at a guy wearing a wildy T-shirt ;) Then I'd punch him. I know your mad about the wilde coming back, but that's no reason to be abusive... To above poster: it's exactly what it sounds like. You've never heard of the saying in the closet? Typically refers to gay people hiding being gay, although it's sometimes used, like here, in reference to something people do that they want hidden. Not anything that's like, illegal or criminal or anything. That would usually be a skeleton in the closet.
  2. Alch training is evil. Do not do it. The only time I did a significant amount of alching like, ever (and this is someone with 99 mage talking) is when I tried making money with the mage trainig arena. Which also wasn't the best idea. Tip: at 87 magic, enchanting stuff at the mage training arena is pretty good exp though. Only time I'd alch train would be if I put tape over my wireless mouse so I couldn't move the mouse, and just clicked the crap out of it while I watched TV or something. Even then, I'd go an hour at most. ALCHING IS EVIL!@!@!@ Sorry >_> Never tried string jewlery, but good exp/afkable....sounds good to me.
  3. Because the people that feel like they made the right decision when they voted for Wilde/Free Trade coming back are all busy making topics about how awesome it is. /sarcasm
  4. Nex

Er, I read that, I was, like, hoping for a link or a quick-find code or something. SoI could see the actual thread and not a picture of it.

I'd like a source too, but from the way it talks about other things, it looks fairly credible. Fairly...
  6. It takes you longer than 5 mins to urinate? :ohnoes: Might wanna get that checked. Well I can see possibly #2, but even then, there's the lobby. Lobby lets you afk for an hour. If you can't do THAT in an hour, yes....get that checked  Lol. Yeah.... Anyways, if you need to go #2 every 6 hours, you should get that checked out anyways o_o Yeah, think a warning before the 6 hours auto-log would be good. Still think 6 hours straight of RS is too much imo...even if it includes lobby time, if you hit 6 hours it's about time you do something else >_> Also, even with the 5 minute auto-log, I've gotten hit by it at ivies before. Some skilling it'll still get you.
  7. Liek, this itam isnt useful 2 me, jamflex shud nerf it.
  8. Outta those 3, pretty sure Saradomin sword; I'd personally go with d scim/d def though. Wayyyyyy cheaper and the SS presumably isn't that great. It's a two handed whip that has a strength and crush option really.

No, by that I mean I am in a room with a bunch of monsters in it, and then either my team or myself opens a door, and in the 3-4 seconds I lag out, I get comboed hard. Riiiiiiiiight. The infamous teammate opening a door would do it. Can't think of a good solution for opening the door either....um, would it just maybe be possible to open the door and quickly tele before the lag hits...? Just a thought, although I doubt it'd work, and if it did 9/10 times you probably wouldn't pull it off anyways. Well, it obviously has to have some sort of plan. Determining what rooms have keys, what rooms are/aren't bonus rooms, how the rooms connect would all have to be pre-determined before hand. Just a guess, but maybe it gets loaded upon opening because that's actually how Jagex keeps the rooms hidden from us? Oh, and they're picking on Golvellius because he's a troll. It's no secret.... I mean, it's in his bleedin' signature for crying out loud. Also, you can't possibly know he never died to door lag, and if he hasn't it might be because he lets his teammates do most of the work. Note the use of the word "might"
  10. Um, I think the Obama post turned on my serious, no-nonsense logical mode. Dunno. I also think that the logic course I'm taking has really affected some of my posts here. On the other hand, I actually had to clean up what I was originally going to respond with to the penis thing because it would have been....detrimental. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to Dungeoneering for my cls o.O
  11. Er, we're dealing with the Mahjarrat. You can't possibly expect that. Besides Zaros and Azzandra have some plan for us already. (Azzandra says Zaros wants our character to stay safe.)
  12. Most likely. But if we didn't all have too much time on our hands, why are do we play RS or post on tipit?
  13. Sir_Squab replied to ghjkl's topic in Help and Advice
I haven't heard anything. Tip: if over half the time, you die is due to door lag, I'd recommend NOT going into the door until you see what's in it. Oh, and I'm assuming you know enough to have an emergency gatestone teleport but I'm typing it in anyways because I think it's conceivable that you don't.
  14. Already got one :P Good. Stupid to get a berserker ring before a fury imo.
  15. Maybe Jagex thinks the same way I do - if you've been playing for 6 hours straight, enough is enough already >.<
  16. Fixed that for you. Don't post misinformation please. Its been proven mathematically and experimentally that outside of having a divine at bandos a crapier is better than a cls in all but a few select places. And where the CLS does beat it (wyverns for example) a cmaul would be better still. A cls is like obama, lots of high hopes for it when it first came out, but in the end it drastically fell short of our expectations and was shown to be inferior to the competition. Really? Obama? Really? Dude, there is no reason to bring him into this. People use the stupidest metaphors when....scratch that, people use the stupidest metaphors. Besides, I sincerely doubt that there were many threads talking about how great the chaotic longsword will be when the first person gets it, compared to high hopes for Obama. In fact, I'd bet that many people thought the rapier would be better from the get-go, since in most of RS faster, weaker weapons with less accuracy tend to have higher DPS then stronger, more accurate weapons that are slower. By stronger and more accurate, I simply mean the weapon has a higher str and accuracy bonus. A few notes/observations: - The numbers weigh heavily in my favor. Over a large sample-size, the rapier will win (assuming dragon defenders). - It's really cute that you think you're right despite having no numbers to back your argument up. Just sayin'. - I think it's funny that you placed so much emphasis on dungeoneering level when you were the one with the higher level, but as soon as a real pro comes along (eg: me), suddenly dungeoneering level doesn't matter. - There's a direct correlation between preferred chaotic weapon and penis size. It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing. After we do a few hundred Bandos kills, let's go to K'ril, TDs, DKs, and do a bunch of slayer tasks together. It'll be a lot of fun showing you just how much you fail at both combat and combat advice. tl;dr CLS sucks and you should feel bad for thinking otherwise. And there's no reason to bring Penis size into this. I could just as easily say there's a direct correlation between how secure a man is in his penis size, or better yet himself, and how often he puts down the penis size of others. In fact, there's presumably much, much more proof to the claim of direct correlation between how secure a man feels and how often he puts down others, penis size or no, then there is between preferred chaotic weapon weapon and penis size. Oh, and all you said was there's a correlation between the two, you didn't say what the interpretation was. I could easily and justifiably* argue that the opposite of what you intended when you brought up that correlation. *By justifiably, I mean as justifiable as your claim of direct correlation between chaotic weapon and penis size. Yay. Intelligent post. I like this post. Yes, the rapier is overall better then the longsword, but there are a few scenarios where that isn't necessarily true. As for the person who brought up Nex, from what I've heard of Nex range works the best because she moves around too much, and you might not want to be close enough to her to be in melee range anyways. Actually, for Nex, I'd think the Maul might be the best, between all that she moves around (meaning you won't be attacking her that often even with a rapier) and her (presumably) high defence. I must also point out that this is purely a speculative theory, and for all I know I'm completely and utterly wrong.
  17. MAGIC!@#@!@# Um, bossing... Melee is usually better, but there are a few places where ranged > melee, particularly Nex and Arma GW. (Only there come to think of it.) And then there are TDs, which need two attack styles. Mage fails on every boss except DKS.
  18. Just to make it clear, it's the GE DATABSE we're talking about here. On the mainpage. Dunno, I didn't get that the first time, get the impression that others think it's the GE and not the database. Sorry if no one else ever thought that. And yeah, I have noticed a fair bit of lag on the GE database recently.
  19. I agree with of Bladewings post. One thing I'd like to know is why x bow is considered better then R C bow o_O Also, you should look into *looks at your setup* Really? Your using arma plate with void then switching to torso? Really? AND your swapping rings? Better idea. Don't swap the ring, instead swap out arma plate for void top and the deflector for a d defender. I'd say reg prayers are definitely worth it. Eagle eye + piety is much better then turmoil + leech range.
  20. Yeah. Frankly, the system works fine as it is - 5 minutes of inactivity and your off the servers. However, your still in the lobby, so if you get kicked out because you were say, cutting ivies, you can go back in. Option for a shorter timer I guess isn't a bad thing, but I fail to see the advantage of it. And I doubt there will be an advantage that isn't some weird obscure thing that's only a odd niche benefit.
  21. Yeah, well, Zaros, Guthix and JAS hold their allegiance to me. Dude, it'd be sweet if Jas showed up in the next quest. "Ok, you've had your fun, gimme my rock back." Lucien: "Nevah! Feel the wrath of the stone of Jas!" Jas: "Dude, I AM Jas. I MADE that wrong. Gtfo nub." *Jas smites Lucien, takes his rock back, wanders back to wherever the deuce he came from.* *Guthix, Zaros and Zamorak were at that party too, and just stand there awkwardly.* Zaros: "Guthix, help me maintain balance! There can only be one evil god!" *Guthix/Zaros combo Zamorak's ass.* *Guthix and Zaros start having a conversation filled with pleasantries. The player character realizes the show's over, so wonders off with his popcorn seeking the next source of amusement.*
  22. The whole point of the prayer urns is to complement the actual changes to the ashes themselves, which are arguably just as significant of an update. Impious ashes are 4xp Accursed ashes 12.5 Infernal 62.5 With the urn, add 20%. That's the info I needed, thank you. So infernal is approx 75~ exp But is it per ash or per urn? That's the exp per ash. The exp per urn is the exp per ash, multiplied by however many ashes it can hold, multiplied by 1.2. To above poster: yeah, I think lessers/greaters have just become more awesome for F2P training, because suddenly they drop an item that's roughly equivalent to big bones. On the down side, F2P needs a way to make urns on Karamja now, for continuous training there.
  23. Well, I already knew that nechs were a good way for range exp and charms. Particularly interesting to me since I have 99 mage and 86 ranged. And semi-decent profit. The big there here is just banking the ash. Most people, alas, do not have pack yacks. I'd be more interested if the guide was updated to show using the jars or whatever for storing the ash instead of a pack yack.
  24. Sir_Squab replied to GuidesForScapers's topic in Rants
Wait, I thought there was a second screen or something which showed all the rules of the duel o_O
  25. You could if you wanted to re-equip defender. Also, assuming both of you are correct about the X-Bow, that it has 50% the range str, less of a range bonus, and 50% more speed...wouldn't that still make the rune c bow better? For every 2 attacks with r c bow, we get 3 with the x bow. But if the damage on the fast weapon is cut in half, wouldn't that result in the DPS of the X-Bow being 75% of the DPS of the R C bow? Ignoring accuracy here, but the R C bow trumps with accuracy as well... This is assuming that the X-Bow has 50% of the ranged strength and 50% more speed then the R C bow.
