  1. You didn't look very hard, did you? On the first page of this board.... http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=636326
  2. I keep seeing this topic and I keep thinking it's about the pub in Edinburgh.
  3. I'm pretty certain I don't have one.
  4. and Locke is Ghost_Ranger. And MPC and Ghost are the same person!!1 And insane and Astra are the same, and ANYONE WHO AGREES WITH SOMEONE IS OBVIOUSLY THE SAME PERSON. The lists here, they disgust me. I never said that. If Locke isn't Ghost, then how many brothers do you have that post on OT?
  5. Because it's relatively busy (not too slow, not too fast) so it's easy to discuss a subject.
  6. I remember at my last year at school my teachers telling us that uni would be so difficult and that if you weren't 100% into doing your studies you would fail. In reality I found uni much easier than I expected. I would have preffered it a bit tougher actually. As was said, motivation is a big part. The lecturers/tutors /etc do help you out a lot and most of them do want you to pass if you show motivation to learn. They wont care however if you fail to turn up to lectures/tutorials or you don't hand in work. Basically don't be scared off. It's a great experience.
  7. and Locke is Ghost_Ranger.
  8. Ahh right sorry. First thing first, move Hijackthis to it's own folder and not the desktop and run it again (for eg. 'C:\Program Files\hijackthis') Quickly going over the log there a few things that need fixed, I will list them later since I don't have much time atm. Nothing very bad I think. You do have quite a lot of startup items, which may be slowing up logging onto windows. Couple questions. Do you use a virus scanner? Is it updated?Have you scanned for viruses? Do you use Verizon or AOL for internet?
  9. I thought the same when Smith left, but they appointed the right man who I think can motivate the team in the same way, McLeish. It's not just the manager though, it's the players too. Under Berti Vogts I struggled to pick a first XI that I would feel is a good team. Now I can do it easy with loads of decent players to spare. Though don't think we'll manage to pull off the points necessary though to gain qualification, we can still be proud that we have a decent footballing nation again :)
  10. Post a hijackthis log. You could have continued this in your previous topic.
  11. are you sure it's capp? not ccapp? Perhaps get a screen shot of it? Can you post a hijackthis log?
  12. Haha my mate has a photo with himself with Connor & Toadie at a club.
  13. Not counting football players, met a few, seen more... Most notable I've met are Prince Philip and Gordon Ramsay at my Duke of Edinburgh Award ceremony. Billy Connelly crossing a road in Edinburgh too. A few famous people in concert too.
  14. Oh dear, that is gonna take some scrubbing to get that off.
  15. Did you happen to see how many threads were made about the update to Varrock? The user could have posted in an existing thread about the update to the graphics, instead he chose to make a new topic talking about some random point. We do allow flexibilty in discussions but I think it's taking it a bit too far when saying we should allow every single pointless thread to run it's course, it just gives the image to new users that whatever they post in a new topic is fine, which it obviously isn't. We do try and keep the boards up to a decent standard. If you want to go and view and comment on threads like those then I suggest you have a look at the runescape official forums. Did you in fact read my earlier point I made to you regarding that? How about you go and read what I said earlier before accusing others of not doing it.
  16. Comment on the subject of his avatar being too big or about what the size of avatars should be? Locking topics like that isn't counter-productive. Now leaving them open is when the rest of the posts added on are just reiterating points made earlier in the thread.
  17. Perfectly reasonable discussion? You are kidding right? He's asking what rs name you would choose and he went on to choose his own rs name. Thanks for picking out one of the most pointless posts on these boards to try and enhance your argument. You say you are experienced with forums. Sorry but I would not like to visit any forum that rates topic like that as a 'reasonable discussion' I'm sure most other users don't come here to discuss topics like that either.
  18. I guess you just forgot about the pm feature? The user in question knew he could get it optimised to under 8kb and he knew where he could get help for it. I've been visiting the tipit forums for well over 6 years now and can say that they are running pretty damn well at the moment (compared to the past) considering the audience that visits the forums. The issue with locking reposted topics and/or bumped posts isn't the easiest rule to moderate, whatever we do someone isn't going to be happy.
  19. Indeed. I had totally forgotten about them at the time until I started hearing loud bangs. It was loud where I was, it must have been amazing right beside them
  20. They were indeed, and "Wang Dang Delta" were there - were you there? I was watching it from the upstairs window of my house, Got a decent view too. Took a quick snap with my rubbish camera, it doesn't really do it any justice :P
  21. it's not so much the option to shoo them but rather the 'whine' that appears. I'd much rather see the dog attack me rather than be scared away.
  22. The fireworks didn't happen to be at Scone palace/racecourse by any chance?
  23. My main worry is that Jagex would advertise it on runescape.com, which no doubt they would do, to get more people interested.
  24. This is a very common topic here.
