Their price really shouldn't be at 20k (though I'm not saying it hasn't been). After all, it's a 1-bar rune item, meaning it "costs" 14k to make. I think that the extra 6k is just emergency markup, like for selling in seers, etc.

is everyone misunderstanding the poster? I'm pretty sure that you can take a set of armor and box it, which becomes a separate item. Therefore, you can store 1 item in your bank instead of 4.

What would be the solution? No price controls, so we end up with the "selling log 2 mill" fiasco? It is foolish to say "this is a problem" without saying "this is how to fix it." I'm not trying to be critical, but unless i missed something, you never say how to fix the problem.

There is an alternative method for high levels (110+) (yes, i know it doesn't affect you, but it's worth mentioning). By taking a sara brew (4) you would make them do 150 pts of damage in 15 seconds, which is nigh impossible. OT: The best thing to do is raise your range level and get black. Many pkers see green/blue and think "easy money."

What would be the point? What could be bought? How do you gain currency? Also, Jagex has banned trading in game items for out of game items (including signatures).

Market Price seems very easy to determine from Jagex's point of view. All it is is simultaneous linear equations. Trade 1: Whip + 7 Glories = 2.02 million Trade 2: Glory = 60k Therefore: Whip + 7*60k = 2.02 million The only limit is the processing power available. Also, by using standard deviation, any "gifts" will automatically be thrown out.

The only type of merchanting that is guaranteed to thrive in the new system is the "opportunistic" merchant, those that sell rings of dueling for 5k each, or sharks 1k ea a couple at a time. Also, people looking to ditch some stuff quickly in a far-flung bank will be satisfied with a lower price. Finally, the "composite" merchants should be able to adapt. The people that trade flax for bowstrings, or any similar items should have enough room to adapt.

There is one glaring point in your assessment. Many leagues use an almost identical system concerning points. One that I personally know is the DCI, which is the system for Magic: The Gathering Tournaments. The format is 100% identical to the system in game, and it works. I agree with most of the other suggestions, and I think there should be "flights" of 8/16 people, where the winner takes half, then they square off against the winner of another flight, who takes more.

The only real solution is to use player mods, who have the ability to mute players. Unfortunately clan chat wasn't designed for what we are using it for, and there is no anti-spam methods available (though they should stop people from pre-typing something)

98s are better for rentals than any spyder, especially because after a hard day of play, you can practically dunk them in water, pull them out, and use them tomorrow (Note I say practically, please don't do that or they will rust.) CO2 is better for rentals, since the bottles are 1/4 of the price. However, any good field will also have compressed air if you are trying to get more experienced players playing there. The simplest method of getting both is to call some local bottled gas companies (or welding companies). A 5-tank compressed system will work well. Magegoogles: A Compressed air compressor of the size needed will run about 3 grand, while you can get 3-5,000 pounds of CO2 for that price. End of RC PK: You do not need to mod anything to use compressed, I use compressed on a stock A-5. The kits that are available will lower operating pressure, quieting the gun. I've been playing paintball for 4 and a half years, and have bought tanks to fill my own CO2 as well.

Tip.it won't upgrade to phpbb until it goes gold. (A full, bug-free release) When this happens, there will probably be some down time, but it should come back almost the same as it was before. I think that the admins will eventually move, considering a number of legitimate suggestions have been postponed until phpbb3. the only hard part is if you are using btp, you might not see nature runes. However, I have killed probably 400 and not gotten any deaths or sets of 2 chaos runes.

(To any mods, if I am saying something I shouldn't, feel free to edit) Tip.it does use usergroups for permissions/moderator powers, etc. I have no idea if there are any other groups. Basically, almost all of what has been said in this thread is already at work behind the scenes. I would caution against adding new forums because most clans already have their own, separate forums and more forums mean more moderation. Even a private forum is still accessible to the admins, so it's not truely secret. Also, more forums will lengthen the page more for the admins.
